Objectives : This study was conducted to evaluate the association between first episode polarity of pediatric bipolar disorder and prognosis. Methods : We analyzed the clinical records of 66 inpatient subjects with DSM-IV defined pediatric bipolar disorder. The patients were split into 2 groups according to the polarity of the illness onset [depressive onset (DO) vs. manic/hypomanic/mixed onset (MO)]. Clinical feature and prognosis were compared between the two groups of patients. Results : In our sample, 68% of patients experienced a depressive onset. In DO patients, rates of suicidal attempt, episodic illness course and comorbid disruptive behavior disorder were higher than rates in MO patients. Conclusion : Findings from this study suggest that polarity of illness onset may be useful in predicting the prognosis of pediatric bipolar disorder.

그림과 글이 하나가 되어 표현되는 장르의 특성상 만화에 있어 스토리 구성 이상으로 중요한 표현 요소의 한가지가 시각적 표현, 즉 그림체이다. 그 중에서도 순정만화는 다른 장르의 만화와 확연히 구분되는 시각적 표현의 특징들을 갖는다. 물론 일본의 소녀만화(少女マンガ 쇼죠망가) 역시 다른 장르의 만화에서는 찾아보기 힘든 몇 가지 독특한 시각적 표현의 특징들을 갖는다. 이러한 표현 기법의 예로, 별이 반짝이는 눈동자, 8-9등신으로 강조된 신체의 표현, 사각형의 균일한 칸나누기를 벗어나는 다양한 칸나누기 구성 등을 들 수 있다. 그렇다면 순정만화만의 독특한 표현은 언제 누구로부터 시작되었는가에 대한 의문이 생겨난다. 이 연구에서는 선행연구로부터 소녀만화의 화려한 그림체에 영향을 준 것으로 평가 받고 있는 소녀 잡지 삽화가로서 1930년대부터 1950년대에 걸쳐 활발하게 활동한 나카하라 준이치(中原 淳一, 1919~1983)의 작품을 분석해 그의 작품과 소녀만화의 관계성에 대해 고찰 한다. 그리고 그 고찰을 통해 소녀만화의 원류를 찾아 어떠한 형태로 이후의 소녀만화에 반영되어 나타났는가를 밝힌다.

양극성 장애 (bipolar disorder)는 조증 삽화 (manic episode)와 우울증 삽화 (depression episode)를 반복적으로 경험하는 기분장애이다. 양극성 장애환자에게 우울증은 조증보다 심각한 결과를 가져오며, 치료의 효과를 측정하기도 어렵다고 알려져 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 우울증(depression) 상태에 있는 환자들을 대상으로 항우울제를 사용하여 정상 (normal) 상태로 전환했을 때, 약물의 장기 사용으로 일어날 수 있는 조증 (mania)과 같은 부작용을 통제하고자 한다. 이를 위해 정상 상태에서 조증으로 전환하는데 소요되는 시간의 분포를 추정한다. 본 연구에서는 세 가지 방법, 모수적, 비모수적 그리고 준모수적 방법을 차례대로 적용하였다. 특히 기분 전환의 흐름을 파악하기 위해 3단계 모형을 사용하였다. 예를 들어, Illness-Death 모형하에서 기분 전환의 발생시점에 대한 분포를 추정하기 위해 계수 과정에 의해 기분 전환에 대한 과정을 모형화하였다.

본 연구는 해방기에 출간되었던 <아협 그림얘기책>시리즈를 대상으로 당시 출판 현전본의, 현황, 체제 및 발행 분석, 삽도화가 분석을 통해 <아협 그림얘기책>의 발행을 비롯하여 체제, 형태, 내용에 대해 심도 있게 살펴보았다. 을유문화사와 조선아동문화협회 (아협)에서 어린이의 생활 해방과 아동문화 건설을 위해 출간한 <아협 그림얘기책> 시리즈는 현재 5책이 남아 있다. 미전본은 당시 발행되었던 신문에 실린 광고 기사를 토대로 책들의 출판 이력을 확인하였다. 현전본을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 표지 권수(卷首) 본문 권말(卷末)의 체제로 동일하게 구성되었으며, 본문에는 그림이야기 형식의 3컷 만화와 이야기로 이루어진 특징을 보였다. 책의 크기는 A5 판형, 분량은 대체로 32면이며 반양장의 장정 형태로 발행되었다. 삽화가로는 당대에 미술 분야에서 활약을 했던 김용환, 김의환 형제가 참여했다.

The aim of this study is to investigate morphological characteristics of Hanbok images in children's books and propose a direction for the modernization and globalization of traditional culture. This study examines 43 children's books by contemporary foreign illustrators that contain Hanbok illustrations and analyzes them from postcolonial perspective. The results include the following three attributes: first, the transformation of clothing structure and donning method that confuse fundamentals of Korean costume; second, the Westernization of silhouette drawing with tailored garments analogous to Western dress; and third, extension to East Asian dress that represents Hanbok mixed with Chinese or Japanese costume and use what is considered to be the East Asian patterns instead of Korean traditional ones. These attributes are based on Eurocentrism, which expresses and interprets the East from the Western view point with continuously distorted image of the East. Korean illustrators also painted Hanbok incorrectly, which could influence foreign illustrators. Nevertheless, traditional dress illustrated in various ways has artistic value and has a popular global impression. Further, it enables children to experience either own or other cultures through dress illustrations. Thus, the outsider requires an in-depth understanding of other cultures, while the insider needs a critical perception of their own culture as described by others while revisiting the original resources. Furthermore, we suggest follow-up research on Hanbok for subsequent generations; publishing translated books on various topics, producing and disseminating a primer for diverse readers, and essentially receiving counsel from experts.

이 연구의 목적은 북한 김정은 시대의 고급중 1 '화학' 교과서의 시각자료를 분석하여 북한 화학 교육을 이해하는데 도움이 되는 기초 자료로 제공하기 위함이다. 북한 고급중 1 '화학' 교과서 단원별 시각자료 유형과 기능을 분석하고, 남한의 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 '화학 I' 교과서의 시각자료와 비교하였다. 선행 연구를 바탕으로 하여 분석틀을 구성하여 시각자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 북한 교과서에서 사용된 시각자료의 유형은 사진과 삽화가 가장 많고, 그래프가 가장 적게 사용되었다. 둘째, 북한 교과서에서 사용된 시각자료의 기능은 탐구적 기능과 예시적 기능이 많고, 장식적 기능이 가장 적게 사용되었다. 셋째, 북한과 남한의 교과서 시각자료는 유형과 기능이 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 이 연구 결과는 북한 화학 교육 이해에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

최근 멀티미디어 기술과 가상/증강현실 기술의 발전으로 사용자에게 몰입감 있는 콘텐츠를 제공하는 여러 시스템들이 제안되고 있다. 또한 기존의 시각과 음향효과만으로 이루어진 시스템의 한계를 넘어서 실제와 같은 느낌을 전달할 수 있는 햅틱기술을 적용하여 보다 몰입감있는 체험형 실감책들이 고안되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 과학교과서를 중심으로 과학적 이론을 보다 효과적으로 가르치고 배우기 위해 필요한 다양한 촉감(Haptic)을 분류하고, 이를 실감책에 적용하여 책이 담고 있는 주요 내용 또는 삽화와 관련된 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 가상/증강환경에서 시청각정보와 함께 촉각콘텐츠를 독자에게 제공함으로써 보고, 듣고 만질 수 있는 적극적인 촉감 상호작용이 가능한 실감책 ('Sil-Gam' Book) 시스템의 기본 프레임워크를 제시한다.

Thalerosphyrus에 속하는 2종의 베트남산 납작하루살이 Thalerosphyrus vietnamensis (Dang)과 신종인 T. separatus n. sp.를 기재하였다. 신종인 T. separatus의 유충은 앞가슴 등판의 후측팽창부가 기부에서 분리되어 있고, 수컷성충은 Y자 모양의 음경으로 구별된다. 두 종의 유충 및 성충기에 대하여 진단형질의 삽화와 함께 기재하였고, 진단문, 분포, 서식처와 생태자료, 분류적 고찰을 제공하였다.

Woon Kyun was one of the shoulder cloth worn by both men and women during Won(원) Dynasty. The distinet features of Woon Kyun was that it had cloud-form embroidered on chest, back and both shoulders respectively and the front of it was opened. It also glitterinyly decorated with five different colored embroidery inserted with gold thread. 26 Woon Kyun out of 59 men demonstrated on the miniature of ≪Jipsa≫ were selected and analyzed according to the historical periods, class and sex. The results of the study showed that there was little change on its forms and patterns and people wore it without specific differentiation. The common patterns of embroidery used were various kinds of animals and plants, however, plants seemed to be more preferred.

Thalestridae과의 하르팍티쿠스류에 대한 분류학적 연구의 일환으로, 혹 형성과 등 양식 해조류에 심각한 피해를 일으키는 것으로 주목받고 있는 Parathalestris속의 하르팍티쿠스류를 조사한 결과 1신종(P.parviseta n. sp.) 4한국미기록종(Parathalestris bulbiseta Lang, 1965; P. verrucosa Ito, 1970; P. pacificus Tschislenko, 1971; P. areolata Ito, 1972)을 포함하여 6종을 동정.분류하였다. 본 논문에서는 1신종과 4미기록종에 대한 삽화와 분류학적 고찰 및 한국산 Parathalestris속 6종에 대한 검색표를 작성하였다.
