The role of bass in band or ensemble music literally sets up the foundation of harmony, which must be regarded first. On the other hand, this is also considered so basic or stable that it can be slightly boring to the listeners. Consideration is needed to make the varied trials more exciting. In this sense, Rutger Gunnarsson showed these fine examples not in performing music but in pop music through the Great ABBA. He could make a fabulous sound with only a basic performance, not with a florid technique or rhetorical skills. All bassists must bear in mind that the overall performance depends on the bass. In short, to make better music, remember to practice continually and find better methods.

This study aims at finding the effects, problems and implication of the regional economic growth led by regional strategic industries in the Chungnam Province. It identifies the contribution of regional strategic industries in the regional economic growth even though there is somewhat difference between the sub-sectors of the industries. It also finds out some problems with the selection and implementation processes. In order to improve the regional industrial policy, it need to apply portfolio type of regional industrial development strategy on according to the typology of the industrial growth stages.

The government announced a strategy for the world's leading science and technology from 2008 to 2012. South Korea government has committed 1.3 percent for joint research projects research among total budget. The purpose of the paper is to draw conclusions form the EU's cluster policy for Korean government policy. The paper consists of five chapters. The research goal of this paper is to find the cluster policies for the federal and provincial governments through German Cluster Politics. This paper consists of five chapters. In the first chapter the theoretical background for the Cluster is examined. The next chapter details the research method for the federal and state German Cluster Policy study. The results of this paper show that the federal and state German Governments may co-operate or compete in cluster politics. Additionally, this research falls under EU Political Research under the umbrella of the EU. This cluster policy research also provides implications for the Korean Government in the long term.

In this paper, test on characteristics of 3-phase line-interactive UPS system, known as delta conversion UPS system, is studied. Delta conversion UPS system is new line-interactive UPS system using two series-parallel PWM converters instead of using series inductor in conventional single conversion line-interactive UPS system. It is known that the characteristics of input and output in delta conversion UPS system is much improved by controlling source current of AC lines directly. Here the results on load test, normal/backup mode test, and normal/bypass mode test, which are very important in the test on characteristics of UPS system, is presented. And finally overall evaluation on delta conversion UPS system is given.

We have investigated the characteristics of the electron beam (e-beam) in the miniaturized free electron laser module by using the commercial 3D simulation tool OPERA. The e-beam was made parallel before entering the slit-type wiggler by the negative bias applied to the central electrode of the electron lens. With respect to the different structures of the wiggler, we obtained the inner distributions of the electrical potential and the electric field, which was, in turn, used to calculate the trajectory of the e-beam in the wiggler.

This paper presents the results of laboratory tests conducted to investigate the effectiveness of applying methodology of a sand compaction(SCP) and a gravel compaction pile(GCP) on soft ground. The test conditions involved relatively low replacement ratios (=10, 20, and 30%) of a pile to unit cell at 1g (gravity acceleration) level. Results revealed that GCP significantly enhanced bearing capacity, settlement reduction, and consolidation rate compared with SCP.

This study is to analyze the intensity of welding part by simulating the dynamic procedure during the fracture of plates with spot welding. The upper and tower plates attached with spot welding can be seen to fall apart at the elapsed time of 0.64 ms after the upper plate is stretched from the lower plate. The maximum von Mises stress is shown at the welding part in the mid of upper and lower plates. The internal energy decreases largely and the kinetic energy increases suddenly near the elapsed time of 0.64 ms when welding part breaks down. The sliding energy decreases with step-by-step style as the time elapses. The value of this energy becomes 0 at the elapsed time of 0.2 ms and on the contrary, two plates stick each other as this value becomes a minus after this time.

The quality of CAD models affects the efficiency of the product development process. However, it seems that CAD modeling education in colleges simply focuses on the creation of CAD models without considering the quality or the applicability of the models. In this paper, we propose educational modeling approaches to help improve the quality and applicability of CAD models. These methods teach students to create models that include a rich set of information, facilitate downstream applications, and are precisely made with the fewest operations. A survey was carried out with students to validate these approaches.
