Most construction project managers should focus on the reasonable cost-down with same quality and function-enhancement with same cost for the value-added construction project delivery in construction industry. Especially, a building structure construction is one of the most important processes to affect the total cost and schedule in building construction project. It means that the process has the possibility of project cost-down or quality-enhancement among the whole project life-cycle. This research focuses on the importance of underground structure of building project by increasing underground use ratio in the urban building construction projects nowadays. This research adopts VE method for the improvement of cost and time by process and analysis dimension modeling on the underground building structure construction, and verifies it throughout the case study, This research is the basic study on the improvement of underground building works through the value engineering method in construction industry.

Present communication and network environment have been moving rapidly toward wireless and mobile base from existing wired internet base. This change of trend influences greatly on business methods accordingly. Therefore many enterprises are trying hard to adopt mobile business in order to gain competitive edge of their products and they are in need of more effective and stable mobile solutions. However, the method of establishing optimal mobile computing environment and how to handle existing business process and use vast amount of database are still needed. Therefore this paper tries to realize a mobile middleware system as a mobile business establishment supporting tool that could link various computational resource on wired internet with wireless LAN, mobile phone network, and mobile devices. To accomplish that specific goal, this paper provides a powerful tool of mobile and wireless application data access that could expand the line of business already set up in general enterprises easily and rapidly into mobile environment. When this suggested solution is applied in the field of industry, it can economically change legacy business process into mobile environment without having to change existing logic and resources at all.

Recently in major industrial areas, there has been a rapidly increasing demand for 'Computational Thinking', which is integrated with a computer's ability to think as a human world. Developed countries in the last 20 years naturally have been improving students' computational thinking as a way to solve math problems with CAS in the areas of mathematical reasoning, problem solving and communication. Also, textbooks reflected in the 2009 curriculum contain the applications of various CAS tools and focus on the improvement of 'Computational Thinking'. In this paper, we analyze the cases of mathematics education based on 'Computational Thinking' and discuss the mathematical content that uses the CAS tools including Sage for improving 'Computational Thinking'. Also, we show examples of programs based on 'Computational Thinking' for teaching Calculus in university.

In this study, we investigated the perception difference of industrial managers and engineering faculties in the engineering education, and searched for a rational solution to resolve this perception differences. Both engineering faculties and industrial managers place strong emphasis on practical training, but they showed a significant difference in addressing the issues on the graduates of engineering education have. This different perceptions are occurred since the industrial managers prefer "the instant(or ready-made) human resource type", the ones to put to work right away whereas professors prefer the ones with the strong basic knowledge, "the potential human resource type", who may in the long run contribute to the development of the industry. We believe Finland Helsinki Engineering School's co-op course and Pennsylvania State University's Capstone Design Education are the good examples of nurturing "practical" human resource although both programs are conducted in very different imaginative ways.

It is required to be enhancement of competitiveness for specialty contractors' employees due to specialty contractors are in charge of the actual construction work. The effective educational program for specialty contractors' employees is essential to improve the work performance of them. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze level of work performance and find factors of core competence for specialty contractors' employees that can be utilized for development of effective educational program. The survey is based on CEO, Engineer and Manager in specialty contractors, and a questionnaire survey was performed to investigate the importance of job task, work load and degree of work difficulty as well as their core competence needs. The analysis result of this study can be utilized for development of effective educational program which is reflected the characteristics of specialty contractor's employees.

Consequently the high rise of the building which space applies efficiently in objective which will increase continuously. Also with high rise of buildings durability it will be able to increase the life of the structure is emphasized and the concrete structure is demanding the more high strength.

A rapid growth of IT convergence into different application areas draws a lot of interest in high performance platform and embedded system. Industry needs well educated computer professionals with the practical understanding on the emerging technologies and core issues of contemporary popular services. In this paper, we present an education framework for computer system architecture based on rigorous analyses of the characteristics of IT convergence services and information technology trends. The proposed framework puts emphasis on real-world and hands-on subjects related to multicore architecture, embedded system and parallel processing. We believe effective use in the development and management of computer system architecture courses encouraging both industries and students.

Software globalization is becoming more important worldwide but little is known about how globalization technologies are actually carried out in the Korean software industry. In this paper, we have designed Globalization Quality Management (GQM) framework and applied the framework to the industry domestically for the first time. GQM provides a structured and effective way for software organizations to adopt globalization practices and evaluate the results. GQM consists of three main components: 1) software quality management process, 2) globalization support model and 3) globalization assessment model. This framework also supports both plan-driven and iterative/incremental development methods. On the basis of the GQM, a survey study was conducted among software engineering professionals, gathering the data from 31 IT companies across 7 large-scale projects in Korea. The result indicate that the evaluation score for globalization capability is 2.47 and global readiness is 2.55 out of 5 points. Also It said that internationalized product design (32.9%) and global/local product requirements analysis (28%) are needed to be taken care of first.

Adverting of the 4th Industrial Revolution, maker education is emerged as a new paradigm and related studies keep increasing, As ideal human resources model has been changed. For this study, 65 theses on maker education were reviewed. The study has mainly analyzed the key factors for applying maker education in school. Though this study, it hopes to propose how further maker education studies should be developed. From the theses, 1.4 percent of the maker education program is actually usable in regular school class. For utilizing this education, it requires prior training and needs computer facilities. Most programs were designed as fusion form in more than two subject and included cooperative activities and sharing time. Further studies should be conducted on the application of education programs of within regular classes of school, recommended tools based on the school levels and prior training for tools, established the Makerspace in schools, shared student's output, evaluated students, and teacher training.

Through academic-industrial collaboration program, special knowledge and human resources in the university are utilized in the society and it may contribute to the development of industry and enhance the competitiveness of the corporation to the activation and acceleration of the regional economy and finally to the enhancement of competitiveness of national industry in international level. This study is based upon design process for the development of body-shower product for bath room, and expected to be used as an important educational material for establishment of order-based education system which conforms to the job site needs that may be analysed from feedback of product results and for practical learning.
