Relationship between Unmet Dental Needs and Social Determinants of Health (건강의 사회적 결정요인과 필요 치과진료 미수진과의 관련성)

  • In order to understand the factors related to the unmet dental needs, analysis was performed using the data of community health survey data. Targeting population of 214,861 aged 25 and over demographic factors, socioeconomic factors, social support, social environmental factors, social and physical environmental factors, and factors related to necessary unmet dental needs visit it was confirmed. The lower the age, the higher the income level, the lower the education level, the less contact with relatives and friends, the less likely they are to participate in relatives and leisure activities, dissatisfied with sociophysical environment(safety level, natural environment, living environment, public transportation, medical services) the higher unmet dental needs. It was confirmed that not only demographic and socioeconomic factors but also social support, social environmental factors, social and physical environmental factors had a statistically significant impact on the need of unmet dental needs. Future research that includes policy factors as social determinants of health will be needed as a way to increase the unmet dental needs.

A Study on the Characteristics of Adult Suicide and Suicidal Type (성인 자살의 특성과 자살유형에 관한 연구)

  • There are less studies on the adult suicide even though it's steep increase and negative effect on person itself, family and society. The purpose of the present study was to investigate factors that influence on the adult suicide and to categorize it. Using a case-study approach, a total of 61 cases were analyzed. Specifically, on the basis of the stress-vulnerability model, I scrutinized vulnerability factors(classified personal, family-environment, and social-environment factors) and precipitating events(classified personal, interpersonal events) influencing on the adult suicide. As the results of this study, adult suicide classified into 3 types, that is, 'risk type suicide', 'event-response type suicide', 'complex type'. And then I discussed the characteristics of the suicidal types and the method for reduction of adult suicide.

  • 미래 사회에서 원자력의 역할을 전망하기 위해서는 에너지, 경제 발전, 환경에 대한 사회적 태도 등 미래사회의 핵심 현안을 규명하고 이들이 원자력 이용 개발과 어떻게 상호 작용하는지를 분석하는 것이 필요하다. 본고에서는 원자력과 관련된 미래 사회의 현안으로서 사회와 경제 환경의 변화, 원자력과 생태 환경에 대한 관심, 에너지 자원의 한계 및 지속 가능성 등에 초점을 두었다. 이를 바탕으로, 미래 사회에서 원자력의 역할을 증진시키기 위한 관점에서, 원자력 이용 개발의 외부적인 기회 요인과 위협 요인, 그리고 내부적인 강점과 약점을 분석$\cdot$전망하였다.

Do Organizational Factors Influence the Outcome of Social Enterprise? (조직요인은 사회적 기업의 성과에 영향을 미치는가?)

  • Recently, social enterprises are expanded quantitatively and continuously, so it is timely to suggest effective management for sustainability of social enterprises. Therefore, this study was conducted to explore various organizational factors which influence on social enterprises' economic and social outcomes. This study investigated the effects of strategic factors, management system, external environment and organizational culture on the outcomes. Strategic factors emerged as the most critical factors for both outcomes. Human resource management and innovative organizational culture affected economic outcomes. Among external environment, community support has significant effect on social outcomes. Based on the results, implications were suggested for effective management and further research.

An Analysis Study on Family and Socio-environmental Factors of Adolescents' School Dropout (청소년 학업중단의 가족 및 사회환경적 요인 분석 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine what is the path that family and socio-environmental factors of adolescents lead to school dropout called educational crisis behavior. To investigate these research problems, the path was analyzed on the basis of the related data and variations after interview with 120 crisis adolescents in 'J Youth Counseling Center' in Jeon-ju City. By the results of this analysis, the family ties as a familial factor and the deviation friends as a socio-environmental factor had an effect on adolescents' school dropout behavior. These results indicate the need to reform the interpersonal relationship in family and school friends for preventing and solving the adolescents' crisis behavior such as school dropout behavior.

Determinants of Entrepreneurial Intentions : Individual Characteristics and Environmental Factors (창업 의지의 결정요인: 개인특성 및 환경요인)

  • This study examined individual characteristic factors and environmental factors as determinants of entrepreneurial intentions. As for individual characteristic factors, individuals' career orientations and entrepreneurial self-efficacy were examined. As for environmental factors, social supports and successful role models, classified as personal environmental factors, were examined, and social perceptions for entrepreneurs, classified as social environmental factors were also examined. Data were collected from undergraduates of business department, and graduates of the same department. The samples of 208 and 81 for each group were used for final analysis. Results showed that as a whole, career orientations affected entrepreneurial intentions. Specifically, entrepreneurial orientations had positive effects, and security orientations had marginally negative effects on entrepreneurial intentions, while, unexpectedly, autonomy orientations had no significant effects. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy had the strongest positive effects on entrepreneurial intentions. Social supports and successful role models, which were not identified as distinct variables by the respondents, were integrated as a new variable of 'network environments' for analysis in this study. Network environments positively affected on entrepreneurial intentions. Social perceptions for entrepreneurs, however, did not affect on entrepreneurial intentions. Based on the results of career orientations, self-efficacy, and network environment, the implications for activating entrepreneurship were discussed.

The Influence of Work Environment, Job-related Environment and Burnout on the Satisfaction with Life among Nursery School Teachers (사회지지와 근무환경이 어린이집 교사의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 : 업무요인과 소진을 매개로)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore factors associated with life satisfaction among nursery school teachers. To accomplish the study purpose, this study first classified several variables into three broad categories including work environment (social support & work environment), job-related environment (work-related stress & job satisfaction), and burnout. And then, 302 nursery school teachers across the country were surveyed in order to explore whether those factors were associated with life satisfaction. The overall results were as follows. First, social support and work environment had a direct impact on the satisfaction with life. Second, social support and job satisfaction had a direct influence on job satisfaction. Third, social support, work-related stress and job satisfaction directly influenced burnout. Fourth, job-related environment, job satisfaction, and burnout had a direct impact on life satisfaction. Overall, it was found that job-related environment, job satisfaction, and burnout had a direct influence on life satisfaction among nursery school teachers and social support and work-related stress had an indirect effect on life satisfaction via burnout.

  • 서울 강북지역 성인남녀 218명으로 대상으로 한 본 연구에서 이웃관계, 심리적 자본, 지역사회주거환경, 정부나 사회단체로부터 지원받은 경험이 사회자본에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 결과를 통해 개인적인 심리적 자본 외에 지역사회 환경과 사회적 차원의 지원이 필요함을 제안하였다.

Facilitators and Barriers of Social Participation of Older Adults: Systematic Review of Qualitative Studies (노인의 사회참여에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 체계적 고찰 : 질적연구 중심)

  • The purpose of this study is to comprehensively examine the facilitators and barriers to social participation of older adults in the society through systematic review of qualitative research. Through PubMed, Embase, Cochrane, data from 2012 to 2022 were collected. The main search keywords were 'elderly', 'older adults', social participation', 'engagement', 'motiv*', 'barrier', 'facilitat*'. 7 articles that satisfy the inclusion criteria were selected for analysis. Facilitators and barriers of older adults' social participation were analyzed. The analyzed factors were assorted into 'personal/ internal factors', 'environmental factors', 'social network factors'. The results of this study emphasize not only logistical factors, but also motivation, desire, social context of older adults' as factors to social participation. To prevent older adults' social isolation, a broad understanding of what promotes and inhibits the participation of the older adults is needed.
