The advancement of information technologies including the Internet has affected the way of social information processing as well as brought about the paradigm shift to the information society. Accordingly, it is very important to study the process of social information processing over the digital media through which social information is generated, distributed, and led to social consensus. In this study, we analyze the mechanism of social information processing, identify a process model of social consensus and institutionalization of the results, and finally propose a set of information processing characteristics on the internet media. We deploy the ethnographic approach to analyze the meaning of group behavior in the context of society to analyze two major events which happened in Korean society. The formation process of social consensus is found to consist of 5 steps: suggestion of social issues, selective reflection on public opinion, acceptance of the issues and diffusion, social consensus, and institutionalization and feedback. The key characteristics of information processing in the Internet is grouped into proactive response to an event, the changes in the role of opinion leader, the flexibility of proposal and analysis, greater scalability, relevance to consensus making, institutionalization and interaction. This study contributes to the literature by proposing a process model of social information processing which can be used as the basis for analyzing the social consensus making process from the social network perspective. In addition, this study suggests a new perspective where the utility of the Internet media can be understood from the social information processing so that other disciplines including politics, communications, and management can improve the decision making performance in utilizing the Internet media.

Do social situations have an impact on an individual's information processing and emotional experiences? Two studies were conducted to investigate relationships between self-reference effects, emotional experiences and social information processing. Study 1 examined whether biases favoring self-related stimuli could occur automatically. Participants had to judge whether sequential geometric shape-label pairs matched or mismatched. The results showed that self-related stimuli are more rapidly processed than friends/others-related stimuli. In Study 2, the participants had to recall items which were presented with different instructions (either chosen by a friend or by the computer). Here we explored whether the self-reference effect is reduced in a social learning condition. When comparing the social learning condition (seated in pairs) with the nonsocial learning condition (seated alone), the participants recalled more self-related words in the nonsocial learning condition than in the social learning condition. Importantly, the automatic self-reference effect disappeared in the social learning condition. More friends-related words were recalled in the social condition than self-related words. In addition, while tasting chocolates, the participants judged them to be more likeable in the social condition than in the nonsocial condition. These results implicated that social processing can be useful for reducing the automatic self-reference effects and shared experiences are perceived more intensely than unshared experiences.

오늘날 인터넷 등 정보통신망의 이용이 보편화 되면서 우리는 바야흐로 정보 및 정보시스템이 없는 생활을 생각할 수 없는 이른바 정보사회에 살고 있다. 정보사회에서는 정보가 중요한 생산수단이 되며 또 경제적 가치를 갖는다. 따라서 정보를 제대로 보호하고 또 정보가 안전하게 처리, 이용될 수 있는 환경을 마련하는 것이 중요한 국가, 사회적 과제가 된다. 이에 각 정보주체가 자신의 정보와 시스템을 내, 외부의 위협으로부터 보호할 일차적 책임을 진다. 그러나 정보통신서비스제공자는 자신의 정보와 시스템을 보호하는 정보주체로서의 일차적 책임 뿐만 아니라, 기업이나 개인과 같이 타인의 정보통신을 매개하는 사업자로서 송수신 또는 처리되는 타인의 정보를 적절히 보호하여야 할 의무가 있다. 현행 법률을 중심으로 정보통신서비스제공자의 정보보호의무의 개념과 성격 그리고 그 구체적인 내용을 살펴보았다.

The present study examined the factors influencing individuals' risk information seeking and processing using the case of 2015 MERS outbreak in Korea. Analyses of two-wave online panel data demonstrated that perceived risk, negative affect, subjective norm, and information insufficiency predicted the risk information seeking/avoiding as well as information processing mode, which validates the Risk Information Seeking and Processing(RISP) model. More importantly, this study found new evidence that information seeking and systematic processing promoted MERS preventive behaviors. In addition, active SNS use moderated the link between perceived risk and negative affects about MERS crisis as well as the relationship between social normative pressure and to seek the risk related information.

노령인구와 사회 취약 계층을 지원하기 위해 사회복지에 대한 사회적 노력이 확대되고 있으며, 또한 사물인터넷 (Internet of Things: loT)이란 IT 기술의 발전을 통해 사회복지 체계를 효율적으로 지원할 수 있는 기회가 마련되었다. 사물인터넷은 사물들로부터 수집한 정보를 분석 및 처리함으로써 다양한 지능 서비스 제공이 가능하기 때문에 그 활용도가 점차 증대되고 있다. 그러나 기존 사물인터넷 기반 사회취약 계층 서비스들은 Healthcare 서비스에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 이는 사회복지 전 분야에 대한 효율적인 서비스 제공에 어려움을 주게 된다. 따라서 사회복지 체계에 대한 효과적인 지원을 위해 IT 융합 기반 기술이 제공되어야 하며, 본 논문에서는 사회복지 체계를 효율적으로 지원할 수 있는 서비스를 제공하기 위한 소프트웨어 플랫폼을 제안한다. 제안된 플랫폼은 loT 장치와 스마트 폰으로부터 정보를 수집하고 처리하여 이를 기반으로 다양한 사회복지 서비스 지원한다.

본 논문은 한국어대화에는 주어나 목적어와 같은 구성요소의 빈번한 생략, 존대현상, 존대대명사의 사용 등의 특이한 현상이 나타나는 것을 지적하고, 이러한 한국어대화를 처리하기 위해서는 대화참석자에 관한 정보, 발화문의 화행에 관한 정보, 대화에 관련된 사람들의 사회적 지위에 있어서의 상대적 순위에 관한 정보 등의 상황정보와 정보의 흐름을 이용해야만 한다고 주장한다. 또한, 본 논문은 이러한 상황정보를 전산적으로 어떻게 표기해서 입력하고 한국어대화의 표상구조를 어떠한 형태로 구축하는 것이 타당한지도 자세히 보여 준다.
