  • As a way to gather diverse information required for everyday living, the importance of social networks has been growing. Social network services have been spreading rapidly because of diffusion of the Internet, evolution of social network sites, and recognition of the importance of social networks. Recently, the social network service has been evolved based on a new paradigm, Web 2.0, pursuing participation and openness. Following the adoption of Web 2.0 technologies, the social network service allows users to make and maintain new relationships in a more convenient way. Users of the social network service tend to reveal their personal information, and share their ideas and content with other people; in the process they become aware of their existence, feel satisfaction with life and exert influence to others as a member of the society. This study uses higher order factor analysis to analyze factors that affect the intention of using the social network service. A research model was developed with second-order factors including perceived social presence, perceived gratification and perceived social influence. First-order factors are grouped by technical, individual and social factors. Smart PLS 2.0 was used to conduct empirical analysis. The analysis results supported the validity of the research model.

  • This paper identifies the determinants of adoption and diffusion of e-government services, and examines the causal relationship among the variables of adoption behavior. The main findings, based upon survey responses from service users, are as follows: first, both the value of service and the socially influencing factor have the positive effect to the intention of utilizing services. Second, the socially influencing factor has the indirect effect to the intention of utilizing services, because it positively affects the value of service. The interaction factors, however, do not directly affect the intention of utilizing services. These interaction factors indirectly affect the intention of utilizing services through the path which increases the value of service, and its effect is larger than the socially influencing factor.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing the acceptance of disabilities among adults with acquired disabilities based on ecological theory, utilizing raw data from the 4th Disability and Life Dynamics Panel in 2021. The results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis indicated that individual factors such as 'gender,' 'type of disability,' 'severity of disability,' 'marital status,' 'education,' 'employment status,' 'depression,' 'self-esteem,' and 'overall health in the past six months,' interpersonal factors like 'emotional support and assistance,' and organizational and environmental factors including the 'level of difficulty in using disability-related services' and 'overall satisfaction with disability welfare services' were found to impact the acceptance of disabilities among adults with acquired disabilities. Based on these research findings, it is suggested that efforts in the community to enhance the acceptance of disabilities among adults with acquired disabilities should go beyond individual dimensions, increasing opportunities for social interactions and fostering a disability-friendly environment.

Research results are as follows. As for differences, Social Model of disability intended to change disability paradigm by focusing society itself as the cause of disability rather than individuals, however Independent Living Model stressed on the freedom and control through disabled people's life with self-advocacy group and personal assistants. As for similarities, there are self-representatives, social responsibility for disability, alienation of people with intellectual disabilities at the initial stage, background in legislating Disability Discrimination Acts in both countries. This result has its significances because it shows theoretical framework which make it possible to review further how disability practice and movements understand the two models regardless of their real contents and how the two affected the induction and proceeding of Korean Discrimination Act and Independent Living Paradigm in the Disability Welfare Act.
