The purpose of this article is to examine and assess the main issues in social constructivism with reference to the history of technology. Social constructivism, as an alternative explanation to technological change, has developed its points actively responding to various criticisms. Historians of technology have joined in dialogues with social constructivists through controversies about narrative vs theory, reliability vs performance, and evolution of bicycle. Social constructivists tend to use new jargons excessively, don't deal historical materials rigorously, and don't consider content-dependency sufficiently. To apply social constructivism to Korean cases many problems should be identified including the deficiency of historical materials, the importance of technological learning, and the peculiarity of relevant social group.

The purpose of this study is to understand the realities of social worker's lives dealt with his/her salary. This study has been conducted by Microhistory Study as a method of qualitative research. For this study, a participant who has worked at the social work agency for 12 years is chosen and interviewed in depth. Analysis of the collected data has been processed and conceptualized by 'finding a clue' named by Carlo Ginzburg. The core themes revealed through the collected data are 'government's incongruent management and social indifference', 'ambiguous expectancy', 'hard time with a small salary', 'uncertainty and losing pride', and 'living painfully and hoping ingenuous living'. Finally, it has been emphasized that the participant's incongruent salary disobeyed the constitution because the participant's duties are to be served by the public government officials.

IMF 시대를 맞이 하여 날로 어려워지는 국내외 현실은 동물병원을 위축되게 만들고 있다 하지만 이번 대한수의사회 차원에서 일본 수의사회의 협조로 애완고양이가 들어 온다고 하니 서울시 수의사회 달력에 고양이 그림을 게제토록 하였고 고양이를 동물 병원에서 키우고 있는 수의사로서 매우 기쁘고 또한 우려가 되어 사육의 경험을 토대로 몇가지 적어 보고자 한다. 사육의 동기는 1년에 400여명이 배출 되는 후배 수의사들과 경쟁을 하기 보다는 동업자의 선배 수의사로서 환축의 대상으로 확장하는 방안 중에 하나라 생각 되었고 일본이나 미국의 경우 내원하는 환축의 $60\%$정도가 고양이라는 사실이다. 일본의 경우 고양이는 사람들이 싫어하는 동물이었는데 개업 수의사들이 동물병원에서 키워 고객들이 보고 흥미를 느끼고 관심을 갖도록 하고 분양을 유도하여 고양이 숫자가 증가했으며 90년도에는 고양이 불임수술을 정부에서 보조지원할 정도가 되었다.
