  • Since mechanical security systems are mostly composed of electronic, information and communication devices, they have effects in the aspects of overall social environment and crime-oriented environment. Also, the importance is increasing for wireless recognition of RFID and tracing function, which will be usefully utilized in controlling the incomings and outgoings of people/vehicles or allowance, surveillance and control. This is resulting from the increase in the care for the elderly according to the overall social environment, namely, the aging society, and the number of women entering, as well as the increase in the number of heinous crimes. The purpose of this study is to examine the theoretical considerations on ubiquitous sensor network and present a direction for securities companies for their development by focusing on the technological and application areas. To present strategies of response to a new environment for security companies, First, a diversification strategy is needed for security companies. The survival of only high level of security companies in accordance with the principle of liberal market competition will bring forth qualitative growth and competitiveness of security market. Second, active promotion by security companies is needed. It is no exaggeration to say that we are living in the modern society in the sea of advertisements and propaganda. The promotional activities that emphasize the areas of activity or importance of security need to be actively carried out using the mass media to change the aware of people regarding security companies, and they need to come up with a plan to simultaneously carry out the promotional activities that emphasize the public aspect of security by well utilizing the recent trend that the activities of security agents are being used as a topic in movies or TV dramas. Third, technically complementary establishment of ubiquitous sensor network and electronic tag is needed. Since they are used in mobile electronic tag services such as U-Home and U-Health Care, they are used throughout our lives by forming electronic tag environment within safe ubiquitous sensor network based on the existing privacy guideline for the support of mobile electronic tag terminal commercialization, reduction in communication and information usage costs, continuous technical development and strengthening of privacy protection, and the system of cooperation of academic-industrial-research needs to be established among the academic world and private research institutes for these parts.

  • The rural area of S. Korea has been excluded from the process of industrialization and urbanization, and is to be faced with a serious crisis in the context of recent globalization/localization with a rapid economic and political change. And hence it is required to give a active attention to community-based welfare for rural areas. The status of welfare of Koryung-gun as such a rural area adjacent to Daegu city is still low, even though recently it has been improved dramatically, and the welfare policy seems not to reflect the rapidly changing conditions of reality, though it has been institutionalized systematically. What is more, the number of dwellers who demand basic welfare has been increased, as welfare services seem not to delivered to them. In order to improve this totally low level of social welfare, major tasks should be pursued to formulate as basic principles an integral approach for community-based welfare and ultimately a restoration of rural community; to construct a mobilization system of diverse resources within community, to develop connections between welfare demanders and providers, and networks of institutes and facilities for community welfare; and to find out and to extend financial sources for welfare policies.

  • The realization of a monitoring system for senior citizens living alone through wireless sensor network. Due to the recent advances in medical science, people live longer than ever before which accelerates the number of senior citizens. The high rate of the old people in population causes some changes in the form of families, which results in the increasing number of old people living by themselves. This also causes a lot of social problems concerning aging population. For example, people found a dead body of 83-year-old, who had lived alone, after he passed away a month before. There is a national monitoring service for the old people of their daily lives, but the application of such system is very limited. Considering this, the current paper focuses on the realization of a monitoring system for senior citizens living alone through wireless sensor network. The system consists of ZigBee sensor network, which is based on standard IEEE 802.15.4. and the system uses Tmote Sky sensor mote made by Moteive, which is installed with TinyOS. The circumstances information data will be saved on DB and a household will be monitored through a Webpage or Mobile.

  • This article analyses frame transition of personal information leakage in Korea from 1984 to 2014. In order to investigate the transition, we have collected newspaper article's titles. This study adopts classification, text network analysis(by co-occurrence symmetric matrix), and clustering techniques as part of social network analysis. Moreover, we apply definition of centrality in network in order to reveal the main frame formed in each of four periods. As a result, accessibility of personal information is extended from public sector to private sector. The boundary of personal information leakage is expanded to overseas. Therefore it is urgent to institutionalize the protection of personal information from a global perspective.

  • This study was conducted to explore the effect of family centered practice on children's self-efficacy and to verify the mediating effect of family strengths. Multiple regression analysis and Sobel test were conducted using data provided by children who participated in Children's Hope Network and their primary caretakers. The study results are as follows: First, families rated highly on their level of experience regarding family-centered practice, which show that social workers were faithful in performing family-centered practice. Second, the levels of both children's self-efficacy and family strengths increased significantly after project participation when compared to the levels measured before participation. Third, family-centered practice affected children's self-efficacy only indirectly through family strengths indicating that the level of family strengths had a complete mediating effect. Implications of these results were explored in relation to the importance of family-centered practice and measures to improve social work practice.

  • The pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus, which has lasted for the past three years, has changed society and the way people live in many ways. These changes also affect cyberspace, so the pre-pandemic information security model and standards have limitations when applied to the current situation. In this paper, a new method to improve the information security model of public institutions was proposed in consideration of various situations in the new normal era. In other words, through the proposed information security model, the possibility of external intrusion is blocked in advance through the policy and technical supplementation of remote work, which is a weakness of the existing information security operation of public institutions. Also, how to prevent abnormal authentication attempts by building a secure VPN environment, how to prevent social engineering cyber attacks targeting fear and uncertainty caused by COVID-19, and how to use a smooth network and create a remote work environment. For this purpose, methods for securing service availability were additionally presented.

  • The Federal Communications Commission voted to repeal net neutrality protections on December 14, 2017. This is the very opposite decision of the net neutrality rule that the Obama administration has consistently maintained. The ensuing storm from the repeal of net neutrality protections has an extensively effect enough on individuals and businesses to cover the entire spectrum, and the impact is hard to assess in the U. S. content industry, which dominates the worldwide Internet content and platform market. On the other hand, Korea's net neutrality protections have been firmly pursued, and there is no sign of change even after the decision happened in the U. S. Net neutrality is not a simple theme that is associated with the Constitution, such as freedom of expression, as well as the issue of network enhancement to prepare for 5G. Accordingly, this study examines how the net neutrality has been carried out in the U. S. and Korea over the years, and provides the issues of Internet enhancement, perspectives of ISP and ICP, and implications for the Constitution, market economy, fair competition and zero rating. This research delivers future direction and implications of domestic net neutrality policies.

  • Point of interest (POI) of the city is a special place that has what importance to the user. For example, it is such landmark, restaurants, museums, hotels, and theaters. Because of its role in the social and economic life of us, these have attracted a lot of interest in location-based applications such as social networks and online map. However, while it can easily be obtained through the Web, the basic information of POI such as geographic location, another effort is required to obtain detailed information such as Wi-Fi, accepting credit cards, opening hours, romper room and the assessment and evaluation of other users. To solve these problems, a new method for correcting position error is required to link location-based social network service (LBSNS) data and POIs. This paper attempts to propose a position error correction method of POI and LBSNS data to enrich POI information from the vast information that is accumulated in LBSNS. Through this study, we can overcome the limitation of individual POI information via the information fusion method of LBSNS and POI, and we have discovered the possibility to be able to provide additional information which users need. As a result, we expect to be able to collect a variety of POI information quickly.
