Implimentation of Automatic Attendance Management System for Classroom Using OpenCV and Machine Learning (머신러닝과 OpenCV를 이용한 교실용 자동 출결 관리 시스템 프로토타입 구현)

  • In this paper, we propose an automatic attendance management system for classrooms using OpenCV and machine learning technology. When a face photograph is input at the entrance of the classroom using a general purpose camera for PC, the attendance is checked by comparing the similarity of the face of the already stored student. In this study, the prototype was implemented using the machine learning library dlib, and about 10% of the students had a recognition rate of about 70%.

  • 현대 의학에서 의료 영상은 수많은 영상처리 의료기기의 핵심이다. PACS(Picture Archiving Communication System)를 통해 관리되는 의료 영상 자료들은 요청에 따라 저장, 검색 및 전송을 수행하여 신속한 의료 서비스를 가능하게 한다. 그러나 만약에 관리자의 실수로 의료 영상 데이터가 바뀐다면 이는 사용자로 하여금 불편함과 낮은 신뢰성을 야기한다. 그리하여 본 논문에서는 서포트 벡터 머신 기반의 HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradients) 특징 벡터를 이용하여 X-ray와 MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) 사진을 분류하고 의료 영상 분류의 가능성을 제시하는 것을 목표로 한다.

  • 매년 졸음 및 부주의 운전으로 인한 교통사고로 인명 및 재산 피해가 끊이지 않고 있다. 즉각적인 졸음 감지만을 위한 기존 시스템의 단점과 한계를 보완하고자, 본 논문에서는 위험 행동을 감지한 후 당시 사진과 데이터를 저장하고 이를 점수로 환산하여 장기적인 운전 습관 개선을 목표로 하는 운전자 관리 감독 시스템을 구현하였다. 이 시스템은 화물차 운전자와 같이 장시간 운전을 하는 대상에게 안전 주행을 장려하고 올바른 운전문화를 확립하게 하여 교통안전에 긍정적 역할을 담당할 수 있다.

  • As a communication language, non-text records and archives such as photographs, images, and videos are becoming more important than text records. As a result, domestic institution, organizations, and specialists related to record management have been emphasizing the necessity of the archive management system appropriate for the distinctive characteristics of image records. This paper summarizes the points to be considered for the establishment of the Korean audiovisual archives management system, based on the writer's experience of participating in the International Audiovisual Archives Management Training for professionals in the world(INA Frame) of 2018. In particular, various types of contents including cinema, broadcasting, cultural should be managed at the national level. Furthermore, the necessity of a new concept establishment for "public audiovisual heritage" is accentuated. In addition, the tasks regarding the establishment of foundation, such as the modification of the related systems and infrastructures, and the layouts of the institution or governance, should be reviewed and revised. Moreover, the preliminary tasks revised, should be lead to the establishment of stable management system for public audiovisual archives of Korea.

Accuracy Evaluation of 3D Slope Model Produced by Drone Taken Images (드론 촬영으로 작성한 비탈면 3차원 모델의 품질 분석)

  • In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, drones are being used in various civil engineering fields. Currently, the construction and maintenance of slopes are generally managed by manpower. This method has a risk of safety accidents, and it is difficult to accurately evaluate the slope because it is difficult to secure the vision. In this paper, the effects of RTK and GCP on the 3D model of the slope were studied by using digital images taken by the drone. GNSS coordinates were measured for nine points to compare the quality of the slope 3D model, three points of which were used as the check points and the remaining points were used as GCPs. When making the 3D model of the slope using high-accuracy geotagging images using RTK, it was found that the error at the check point decreases as the number of GCP increases. Even if GNSS was used, it was found that the error at the check points of the 3D slope model was not significant when the GCPs were applied. However, it was found that even if high-accuracy geotagging images are used using the RTK module, a significant error occur when the 3D slope model is created without applying GCPs. Therefore, it can be stated that GCP must be applied to create the 3D slope model in which information about the height as well as plane information is important.

  • The digital working environment and its related technology have been rapidly expanding. In the surveying field, we have changed from using optical film cameras and plotters to digital cameras, multi sensors like GPS/INS etc,. The old analog work flow is replaced by a new digital work flow. Accurate data of the land is used in various fields, efficient utilization and management of land, urban planning, disaster and environment management. It is important because it is an essential infrastructure. For this study, LiDAR surveying was used to get points clouds in the study area. It has a high vegetation penetrating advantage and we used a digital process from planning to the final products. Contour lines were made from LiDAR data and compared with national digital base maps (scale 1/1,000 and 1/5,000). As a result, the accuracy and the economical efficiency were evaluated. The accuracy of LiDAR contour data was average $0.089m{\pm}0.062\;m$ and showed high ground detail in complex areas. Compared with 1/1,000 scale contour line production when surveying an area over $100\;km^2$, approximately 48% of the cost was reduced. Therefore we prepose LiDAR surveying as an alternative to modify and update national base maps.

Monitoring of Shoreline Change using Satellite Imagery and Aerial Photograph : For the Jukbyeon, Uljin (위성영상 및 항공사진을 이용한 해안선 변화 모니터링 : 울진군 죽변면 연안을 대상으로)

  • Coastal shoreline movement due to erosion and deposition is a major concern for coastal zone management. Shoreline is changed by nature factor or development of coastal. Change of shoreline is threatening marine environment and destroying. Therefore, we need monitoring of shoreline change with time series analysis for coastal zone management. In this study, we analyzed the shoreline change using airphotograph, LiDAR and satellite imagery from 1971 to 2009 in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, Korea. As a result, shoreline near of the nuclear power plant show linear pattern in 1971 and 1980, however the pattern of shoreline is changed after 2000. As a result of long-term monitoring, shoreline pattern near of the nuclear power plant is changed by erosion toward sea. The pattern of shoreline near of KORDI until 2003 is changed due to deposition toward sea, but the new pattern toward land is developed by erosion from 2003 to 2009. The shoreline is changed by many factors. However, we will guess that change of shoreline within study area is due to construction of nuclear power plant. In the future work, we need sedimentary and physical studies.

  • ADD(Agency for Defense Development) has developed digital audio-visual archives management system to ensure easy access and long-term preservation for digital audio-visual archives. This paper covers total process of the system development and database management in the aspect of preservation and utilization by users' easy search through digitization of audio-visual archives. In detail, it contains system design for images and video data handling, standard workflow establishment, data quality, and metadata settings for database by converting an analog data into digital format. Also, this study emphasizes the importance of audio-visual archives management system through cost-effectiveness analysis.

  • A records management agency assessment must reflect the possibility of actual situations including conditions and implementation. Institutional evaluation systems and indicators tools to improve records management. However, the reality is difficult if they are not conducted through the resources and efforts of the organization. The 2017 evaluation system of the National Archives of Korea and the index, which was published in March 2016, are expected to be highly difficult to perform as the frontline field tasks of the institution for a year. It is composed of indices with questionable effectiveness that are difficult to implement on the field. Some of these include the following: three training sessions for more than 10% of all employees, submission of document archive pictures of all schools, submission of the index items of all documents, increasing the utilization level of the standard record management system for the electronic documents that have not been transferred for several years, the transfer of non-electronic documents of all institutions, reclassification of non-disclosed records, etc. It recognizes the fundamental problems of the records management system and the 2017 evaluation indicators that the National Archives has mentioned about operations. As such, now is the time to reflect the years of experience in the field to amass knowledge that will help improve records management.

The Effect of the Knowledge of Oral Health and its actual Oral Condition on Smile (구강보건 인식도와 구강관리실태가 미소에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was designed to investigate the correlation between the degree of knowledge in regards to the importance of oral health and the smile scores as well as the correlation between their actual oral conditions and smile scores. The author surveyed the knowledge and the actual oral health condition of the subjects, 150 high school students (80 males and 70 females), and their frontal pictures were taken when they had full smiles. After evaluation of the smiles of the subjects by five dentists, the results were analysed. This study showed that there was neither a correlation between the smile score and the knowledge of oral health nor the actual oral condition. The investigation showed that the actual oral condition and care was performed well even if there were some wrong answers in the questionnaire, which asked about proper oral health. In conclusion, the smile could be related to the repetition of the habit of smiling rather than being related to the knowledge of oral health or their actual oral condition.
