수학영재교육에서 스프레드 쉬트의 활용

  • 영재를 위한 수학교육은 우리의 당면과제 중 하나이다. 능력 있는 학생들의 학습이 속진에 한정되는 것 보다는 심화자료 및 수학적 소프트웨어와 함께 하는 것이 더 의미 있을 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구는 스프레트쉬트를 사용한 수학적 아이디어의 탐구에 관한 것이다. 다음에 대해 논의하기로 하겠다. i) 스프레드쉬트는 비전통적이면서도 이용이 용이하며, 수학적 통찰을 위한 매개물이다. ii) 풍부하고, 흥미릅고, 가치있는 수학적 주제에 대해 스프레드쉬트를 이용할 수 있다. iii) 스프레드쉬트를 사용하여 학생들이 수학적 아이디어에 대한 흥미를 고취시킬 수 있다. iv) 스프레드쉬트는 학생들에게 그들의 창의적인 시각화 기술을 공개할 기회를 줌으로써 수학에 대한 폭넓은 도식적 이해를 제공한다. v) animation을 포함한 스프레드쉬트 도식들의 적절한 사용은 유익하면서도 흥미롭다. vi) 학생들은 일상생활에 나타나는 수학의 흥미로움을 발견할 것이다. vii) 교사는 지금의 지도방식에 스프레드쉬트를 통합할 수 있다. 특히 스프레드쉬트는 다음과 같은 면모도 가지고 있다. i) 창의적인 수학적 스프레드쉬트 모델들의 실제 과정들이 그 자체로써 수학적 개념발달에 이용될수 있다. ii) 스프레드쉬트 모델은 심화된 주제의 탐색을 위한 의미 있는 탐구과제를 제공한다. iii) 스프레드쉬트는 현장에서 사용되는 실제적 수학 도구이다. - 과학자나 공학도들의 사용도 증가되고 있다. 이것의 사용은 학생들이 현장에서 사용할 기술을 취득하게 할 수 있고, 같은 컴퓨터의 소프트웨어를 사용하는 가족의 대화 수단이 되기도 한다. 본 연구에서 우리는 스프레드쉬트의 4가지 실증적 예를 들어 보겠다. 또한 다른 영역에서 발전된 스프레드쉬트 모델의 몇 가지 도식적 산출물도 포함 할 것이다. 우리는 가장 대중적인 스프레드 쉬트인 Microsoft Excel 프로그램을 사용하였다. Excel의 수행과 Excel 연산의 설명을 담은 CD와 함께 다양한 사례들에 대한 논의는 (8)을 참고하기 바란다. 본고에서는 graphic animation 기술, 스크롤바의 사용을 간단하게 개괄하겠다. '동적형상들(movies)'를 만들 수 있는 간단한 매크로의 사용 등의 내용들은 각 자료를 사용할 수 있는 Excel 파일의 예와 함께 [1]과 [8]에 설명하였었다. 많은 인쇄물과 on-line 참고문헌, 매체자료들도 함께 제공하였다.

A Monitoring Ability of the High-Performance Color CCD Camera under High Dose-Rate Gamma Ray Irradiation Environments (고 선량율 감마선 조사 환경에서의 고성능 칼라 CCD 카메라의 관측성능)

  • 일본 후쿠시마 제일 원자력발전소의 대지진/쓰나미에 이은 원자로 건물 수소폭발 사고의 수습 과정에서 사용후 핵연료 저장조에 보관되어 있는 핵연료의 안전문제가 대두되었다. 사용후 핵연료의 잔열 성분을 냉각시키고, 그리고 사용후 핵연료가 방출하는 고선량 방사선을 차폐시키기 위해서 일정 깊이 이상의 수조에 사용후 핵연료를 저장한다. 사용후 핵연료 저장조에 냉각수 공급이 중단되면, 사용후 핵연료의 고유 잔열에 의해 수조의 물이 증발하여 수위가 감소하게 된다. 계속해서 냉각수 공급이 되지 않으면, 사용후 핵연료의 잔열은 증가하게 되고, 수조의 물은 비등하여 증발은 가속화 된다. 사용후 핵연료 저장조의 수위가 고갈되면 고선량의 감마선이 방출된다. 수조의 수위가 정상적일 경우 사용후 핵연료 저장조의 공기중 감마선 선량율은 0.15mSv/h 이다. 수조의 수위가 사용후 핵연료 상부 꼭대기를 기준으로 2m, 1m, 및 0m (핵연료 노출) 로 감소하게 되면, 사용후 핵연료 저장조의 공기중 감마선 선량율은 500mSv/h, 50Sv/h, 및 5kSv/h 로, 급격히 증가한다. 본 논문에서는 사용후 핵연료 저장조 감시카메라의 관측 성능을 평가하기 위해, 고성능 칼라 CCD 카메라에 대해서 1 kGy/h 의 고선량율로 감마선 조사실험을 수행하였다. 이에 대한 실험결과를 기술한다.

A Comparative Study on Calculator in Mathematics Educations Between Korea and Singapore (수학 수업 중 계산기 사용에 대한 한국과 싱가포르의 교육 비교)

  • Debates of calculators in mathematics lessons sometimes have happened in both countries that students rarely use calculators in math lessons including Republic of Korea and countries that students usually use calculators in math lessons. Korea has tried to activate usage of calculators in math lessons as the revision of national math curriculums and the development the strategies to support schools and math teachers. On the other hand, Singapore has the different educational strategies to use calculators in math lessons, but students have higher math achievements in TIMSS and interests in math lessons than Korea. This study intended to study the difference between Korea and Singapore on the usage of calculators in math lessons. To accomplish this, the study compared math curriculums of two countries on the usage of calculators and analysed TIMSS 2015 related with the survey items about calculators in math lessons. This study results in some suggestions that we should do in oder to use calculators in math lessons effectively.

Quality Evaluation for Usability of Internet Shopping Mall (인터넷 쇼핑몰 사용성에 대한 품질평가)

  • The purpose of this paper is to evaluate usability quality through investigating the factors of usability for internet shopping mall websites. For this study, previous studies were investigated and experts' discussions were held. In result, six characters of usability were chosen such as content satisfaction. customer attraction satisfaction, price information satisfaction, public security satisfaction, user interface satisfaction. and process of transaction satisfaction that affect usability of shopping mall websites and the evaluation models of 72 detailed measure factors were established. Since these 72 sub-factors inc)ode the key words of HTML, XML, JSP, and ASP from the target websites. 33 measurable sub-factors in the information were measured through usability evaluation experiment. In addition, a questionnaire about usability measure factors was executed after preferable websites and not preferable websites are selected. After that, we verified the reasonability of usability measure model factors comparing the results of the evaluation experiment with the result of the questionnaire. The time it takes to measure the usability of shopping mall websites can be reduced by using this measurement supporting tool. Also, this tool may be used to estimate the usability during the development of a shopping mall website.

Effects of smartphone on self-directed learning ability by mediation of self-control : Does it matter when to start using smartphone for the first time? (스마트폰 사용이 자기통제력의 매개를 통해 자기주도학습능력에 미치는 영향 : 스마트폰 최초 사용시점에 따른 비교)

  • The aims of this study are to analyse how smartphone affects (1)self-control and (2)self-directed learning ability of middle-school students, and also affect (3)self-directed learning ability by mediation of self-control. For these aims, this study used Seoul Educational Longitudinal Study panel data which was conducted in 2015, and conducted multi-group comparisons using structural equation modeling analyses. In analysis of smartphone effects, the use of smartphone of students was divided into 'for entertainment' and 'for learning', and also their first time of smartphone use was considered(elementary vs. middle school). Results indicated that while 'smarphone use for entertainment' was related negatively with self-control and self-directed learning ability of students, 'smarphone use for learning' was related positively, regardless of when smartphone was first used. Also, while 'smarphone use for entertainment' was related negatively with self-directed learning ability by mediation of self-control, 'smarphone use for learning' was related positively.

  • In this study, we investigate the individual-, parents-, and family-related variables affecting the internet overuse of adolescents by the gender, school grades and school systems, which is based on surveys of 480 students in the middle and high school, employing multiple regression analysis. Major findings are as follows. 1. In the case of male students, internet use was higher when the students are playing online games more often, when the students are under stress, or when they have lower self control. In the case of female students, internet use was higher when the students are playing online games more often or when the students are visiting pornographic sites more often. 2. In the case of middle school students, internet use was higher when the students play online games more often, when they use file downloads more often, when they have lower self control, or when they have parents who are setting lesser rules on the students' internet use. In the case of high school students, internet use was higher when they play online games more often, when they engage in internet club activities more actively, when they have lower self control, when they use e-mails less frequently, when they have fathers with better internet ability, or when they are under parents' strict control. 3. In the case of academic high school students, internet use was higher when they play online games more often, when they engage in internet club activities more actively, when they visit pornographic sites more often, when they have lower self control, when they have mothers with poor internet ability, when they use e-mails less frequently, or when they have fewer number of close friends. In the cases of vocational high school students, internet use was higher when they play online games more often, when they are under more stress, when they get better grades, when they have fathers with better internet ability, when they are under parents' strict control, or when they have lower self control.

An Empirical study on the analysis of the re-using of four-digit personal identification numbers - A university case (네 자리 숫자 비밀번호 재사용 실태 분석 연구 -A대학 사례연구)

  • This research aim is to investigate the rate and pattern of re-using the four-digit personal identification numbers(PINs). 1313 types of PINs were observed by 224 students who took this author's classes from last 2006 to 2011 at A-university. Some students used PINs as few as 3-4 and as many as 12-13. The average is 5.86 per person. The rates of re-using PINs were calculated by each student. 87%(195/224) of students reused PINs and 64% of them reused with just only one type of PINs, 20% reused with 2 types, and about 3% reused with 3-4 types. With respect to PINs, 884 out of the total 1313 PINs were reused, that is around 64.3%. In a broad sense, a pair of slight modification of PINs were also observed, that is, new PINs were partly matched in position or size of numbers of previous PINs. And if the reuse rate falling under the slight modification of PINs, 10.4% is added, about 75% of the PINs were reused in a broad sense. The re-using rate of male students is higher than the one of female students. This paper's results may provide to make plan for hacks of passwords.

Properties of No-coarse Lightweight Concrete Using Synthetic Lightweight Fine Aggregate (인공경량세골재(人工輕量細骨材)를 사용(使用)한 무조골재(無粗骨材) 경량(輕量)콘크리트의 특성(特性))

  • This paper was performed to evaluate the properties of no-coarse lightweight concrete using perlite and expanded polystyrene bead on fine aggregate. The results were shown that w/c and unit weight was affected by absorption ratio and unit weight of using aggregate itself. The compressive strength of no-coarse lightweight concrete was showed $187kgf/cm^2$ by using natural sand, $170kgf/cm^2$ by using perlite. Tensile and bending strength were showed the same tendency of compressive strength, but when expanded polystyrene bead concrete dose not have strength nearly. The pulse velocity and static modulus of elasticity of no-coarse lightweight concrete were smaller than that of normal cement concrete. And stress-strain curves were shown that was increased with increase of stress, and when the stress-strain curve using expanded polystyrene bead was repeated at short intervals increase and decrease irregularly.

Knowledge, Attitudes, Practices and Education Needs Toward Safe Medication Use among Middle and High School Students (중·고등학생의 의약품 안전 사용에 대한 지식·태도·행동 및 교육 요구 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to find ways to improve education about safe medication use by investigating the current status of medication use by middle and high school students, and by evaluating their knowledge, attitudes, practices and education needs toward safe medication use. For this purpose, a survey was administered to 200 middle and high school students in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. Over the past year, 92.0% and 57.5% of respondents used over-the counter drugs and prescription drugs at least one time, respectively. Regarding the experience of education on safe medication use, 34.0% of respondents have been educated more than once since their admission to middle school. The overall mean score of knowledge·attitude·practice (KAP) toward safe medication use was 3.79, but the mean score of practice scope was relatively lower than the others. Moreover, there were no significant differences in KAP scores for safe medication use by school grade or educational experience. Based on these findings, we suggest further studies regarding 1) expansion and differentiation of education content on safe medication use, 2) transition of education method to outcome-based education approach, and 3) inclusion of education on safe medication use in the regular curriculum of middle and high schools.

Autonomic Nerve Change after Loess Bedding Radiating Far-infrared ray and energy (원적외선에너지 방출 황토침구 사용 후의 자율신경 변화에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the changes in the autonomic nervous system of the human body after the use of ocher bedding radiating far-infrared rays to 15 insomnia subjects. Methods: Changes of autonomous nerve in the subjects after using loess bedding estimated by heart rate variability. Results: The mean HF before the use of ocher bedding was 220.8 msec2, and the mean after use decreased to 5.1 msec2. The average value of LF before use was 418.1 msec2, and the mean after use decreased to 5.2 msec2. The average before use of the VLF was 1463.3 msec2, and the average after use dropped to 6.8 msec2. The average value of TP before use was 977.3 msec2, and the average after use dropped to 6.7 msec2. The decrease in postoperative values of all four items was statistically significant, and the high value of the subjects before use inferred to be the reason that all of the subjects had high stress and anxiety due to their long-term sleep disorder. There was no significant difference in the pulses of the subjects before the use of the bedding. SDNN and RMSSD were not significantly different before and after use. Conclusions: Autonomic nerves HF, LF, VLF, TP frequency is evaluated to be affected by the investigation of far-infrared radiation that occurs ocher. This research data regarded as high value as primary data in this field.
