Newsweek 가 2007 년을 '위젯의 해'라고 선언할 정도로 IT산업에서 위젯에 대한 관심이 커져가고 있다. 위젯은 인터넷으로부터 정보를 전달 받아 화면에 표시하는 작은 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스 도구의 일종을 뜻한다. 위젯은 웹 사이트와 연동하여 제 기능을 다할 뿐 아니라 데스크톱, 모바일, 심지어 TV로까지 연동될 채비까지 갖추어 가고 있다. 그러나 현재 TV 환경에서는 TV용 위젯 그래픽 가이드라인이 없는 실정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 TV 시청 환경에 적합한 위젯 가이드라인을 제안함에 있다. TV와 PC의 사용 환경은 서로 다르며 크게 세 가지 측면으로 볼 수 있다. 첫째는 목적적 측면이다. PC는 주로 작업, 검색의 목적을 가지고 있는 반면, TV는 즐기고, 쉬기 위한 목적을 가지고 있다. 둘째는 조작적 측면이다. PC는 키보드, 마우스와 같은 다양한 입력 도구를 사용하여 문자와 위치 등을 쉽게 입력하고 다양한 조작을 할 수 있는 반면, TV는 리모컨으로 제한적인 조작을 한다. 셋째는 시청 환경적 측면이다. TV의 시청거리는 PC나 모바일 보다 멀다. 그리고 보편적으로 가족이 공유하는 미디어라는 점을 알 수 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 세 가지 선행연구를 종합하였다. 첫째, 위젯의 정의와 유형에 대해서 연구하였다. 둘째, TV와 PC환경의 차이를 연구하였다. 셋째, 위젯과 TV의 가이드라인을 분석하였다. 이와 같은 선행연구를 종합하여 TV 환경에 적합한 위젯 디자인 가이드라인을 도출하였다. 연구자는 가이드라인을 콘텐츠, 그래픽, 인터랙션 세 부분으로 나누어 각각에 대한 가이드라인을 제안한다. 또한 연구자가 제안하는 가이드라인의 적합성을 검증하기 위하여 이 가이드라인에 토대로 한 TV 용 위젯을 제안한다. 연구의 범위는 국내의 40 인치 HDTV를 중심으로 제한한다. PC 에서처럼 TV 에서 위젯이 정착하기 까지 많은 시행착오가 있을 것이라 예상된다. 본 연구가 TV 환경에 적합한 위젯에 관한 연구의 시작이 되기를 기대한다.

최근, 기업 및 사용자들은 클라우드 서비스의 필요성에 대한 인식이 확산되고 있다. 반면에 클라우드 보안 기술에 대한 관심의 부재는 클라우드 서비스를 도입하는데 어려움으로 작용하고 있다. 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 기존의 컴퓨터 네트워크 환경과 다르게 서버 가상화, 네트워크 가상화, 스토리지 가상화와 같은 부분들이 가상화되어 서비스 및 자원을 공유하여 활용한다. 따라서 가상화 기반 취약점이 발생할 수 있으며 기존 보안장비의 한계점으로 인한 새로운 보안위협이 발생하고 있다. 특히, 방대한 양의 데이터를 클라우드 컴퓨팅 중 하나인 클라우드 스토리지를 통해 저장을 하게 되고 이러한 데이터를 겨냥한 공격이 이루어질 경우, 데이터 손실 및 유출 등 심각한 위험이 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 클라우드 스토리지 환경에서 문제점들에 대한 대응을 위해 ISO/IEC에서 제시한 스토리지 보안위협과 ITU-T, ENISA, CSA에서 제시한 클라우드 컴퓨팅 보안위협을 이용하여 클라우드 스토리지 관련 보안위협 유형 분석을 수행하고 이에 대응하는 보안 아키텍처를 설계하며 이에 대한 안전성 분석을 수행한다.

ACE2000 MPLS 시스템은 대용량 ATM 교환 시스템인 ACE2000 ATM 교환시스템에 MPLS 기능을 부가함으로써 사용자들에게 차별화 된 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 시스템이다 MPLS 시스템에서는 채널 사용의 유연성과 채널 자원의 효율적인 사용을 위해 VC 머징 기능을 요구하고 있다. 이를 위해 ACE2000 MPLS 시스템에서는 출력 방향 패킷 처리기에 VC머징 기능을 구현하여 적용하고 있다. 구현된 VC 머징 장치는 고성능 SAR 소자를 이용하였다. VC 머징 장치는 ATM 셀 구조로 입력되고, 입력된 ATM 셀은 고성능 SAR 소자에 의해 AAL-5 유형의 패킷으로 변환되어 VC 머징 제어기로 입력된다. VC 머징 제어기에서는 패킷 입력부로부터 패킷을 받아들여 채널 연결 설정 정보에 따른 VC 머징 기능을 수행하도록 패킷을 처리한다. 이 VC 머징 제어기에서의 패킷 처리 시 스위치 포트의 Full Mesh 연결로 인해 발생되는 채널 자원의 감소 문제를 해결하고, 채널 자원을 증대시키기 위해 2 단계의 룩업 과정을 거치는 패킷 제어 기능을 수행한다. 패킷 제어기에 의해 처리된패킷은 또 하나의 고성능 SAR 소자로 구성되어 있는 패킷 출력부로 전달되어 셀 분할(Segmentation) 과정을 거쳐 ATM 형태로 다음 레이블 스위치 라우터로 전달 되도록 물리층 보드로 전달된다. 본 논문에서는 ATM 교환 시스템을 기반으로 MPLS 시스템에서 채널자원의 증대를 위한 출력방향 패킷 처리장치에 대하여 제안한다.

Recently, as new technologies such as SAN and NAS come into wide use to deal with a large amount of data, an efficient backup software for SAN and NAS is very required. In this paper, we design and implement a backup software for SAN that fully supports NDMP. The NUMP is an open standard protocol for network-based backup. The proposed backup software has various unique features such as SAN based tan free backup, automatic and manual backup, on-line backup by using snap shot, file-system, raw-device, database backup and so on. The proposed backup software also can be configured as a backup center that uses SAN as a backup media.

Information technology has changed the human life as well as the societal and economic paradigm. New office environments have been proposed to cope with emerging changes and to support working performances by reducing costs of office operation and business. Recently, office environments have adopted ubiquitous computing with a focus on collaboration to promote real-time enterprises. They become equipped with various mobile devices and pervasive technologies in wireless networks. This study aims to propose a direction for the adoption of mobile and pervasive computing on the new office environment. We investigate relate works and analyze new office types including mobile offices, telework centers and home offices. Using a customized questionnaire, the current conditions of the office environments and officers' demands were investigated and analyzed. In the end, we propose the direction for a ubiquitous office environment with a focus on two attributes, ubiquity and mobility. This research will be a basis for the development of ubiquitous offices that support the professionalism of works in practices.

Influences of convergent services on the overall industry has become noticeable. Various services are becoming to converge into a single platform because of ever-hanging needs of digital service users. However, few studies have investigated how users' perception of convergent services as well as the quality of experience that service users have while using the convergent services. Therefore, this study aims at identifying perceived patterns of convergent services by IPTV users, which is one of the representative convergent-ervice platforms. It also aims at identifying the impact of perceived convergence pattern on the relationship between goal congruency among individual services and the quality of user experience. Two empirical studies were conducted to accomplish the research goals. We have constructed two prototypes of convergent digital services in the IPTV environment and conducted controlled experiments to verify the research hypotheses. The results indicate that design similarities of two services substantially influence the perceived patterns of convergent services. It was also found that the perceived convergent patterns have significant moderating effects on the impact of perceived goal congruence upon the quality of user experience. This paper ends with limitations as well as implications of the study results.

We propose a fast and powerful Question-answering (QA) system in Korean, which uses a predictive answer indexer based on 2-pass scoring method. The indexing process is as follows. The predictive answer indexer first extracts all answer candidates in a document. Then, using 2-pass scoring method, it gives scores to the adjacent content words that are closely related with each answer candidate. Next, it stores the weighted content words with each candidate into a database. Using this technique, along with a complementary analysis of questions which is based on lexico-syntactic pattern matching method, the proposed QA system saves response time and enhances the precision.

The VMSS(Virtual Makeup Simulation System) is a virtual simulation system which can apply makeup, hair style, accessory to user's own face image through internee connection. The simulation result can be stored to server side DB and also can be printed out on client side printer. It is implemented using Java so, clients don't need any other client program to run the VMSS except Web browser and Java Plug-in installed on browser. IIS (Internet Information Server) Web server of Window 2000 and MS-SQL 7 are used to develop the overall system. Commercial JDBC Driver Type 4 is used to connect the applet and DB. It suggests a new direction of Web-based contents service development and can be applied to many other areas.

현재 이동통신 네트워크는 통신 기술의 발전에 힘입어 음성 서비스를 넘어선 다양한 패킷 데이터 기반 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 하지만 현재 IEEE 802.11과 같은 이기종 네트워크에 대한 연구가 다양하게 진행되고 있는 것과 달리 이동통신 네트워크의 패킷 데이터 기반 서비스에 대한 연구는 이루어지지 않았다. 이러한 추세의 원인은 이동통신 네트워크가 사업자에 의해서 폐쇄적으로 운영되고 있기 때문이다. 우리는 지금까지 이기종 네트워크에 대한 연구를 바탕으로 예측만 하던 문제를 해결하기 위해 이 논문은 통해서 이동통신 네트워크의 패킷 기반 데이터 서비스의 특징을 분석한다. 실제 트래픽을 모두 분석하는 것은 규모의 문제로 불가능했기 때문에 우리는 서비스에 대한 과금 데이터를 사용했다. 과금 데이터에는 네트워크의 특징이 대부분 반영되어 있기 때문에 실제 트래픽을 수집해서 분석하는 것과 같다. 분석결 과로 이동통신 환경에서 사용자 행동 패턴과 서비스 유형별 트래픽 특성 및 네트워크의 특징을 보여준다. 이러한 결과는 향후 네트워크 진화에 의해서 예상되는 트래픽 예측 및 관리에 활용 가능하고, 네트 워크 모델링에 있어서의 기반 지식을 제공한다.

An analysis of factors determining the quality of labor-management realtions shows that they include the external environment factors, the agent factors representing spirits and strategies of unions and employers, and the process factors of interaction channels in bargaining, consultation, and participation. It is found from recent research results that the spirits and strategies of unions and employers is the most important factor and that communication, consultation and sincere bargainings between them are the next most important, while environment factors are rarely important. It is suggested that mutual trust and respects, information sharing, sufficient communication and consultation, joint workplace innovation, and industry-level labor-management consultation are effective tools for good industrial relations.
