농약사용 이런건 고쳐야

  • 농약이 우리에게 주는 이익은 지대하다. 수도작의 경우 병충해로 인한 평균감수율이 $16\%$임을 감안할 때 년간 600여만섬의 쌀을 간접생산할 수 있기 때문이다. 그러나 농약사용의 이면에는 잘못 사용으로 인한 농약중독사고와 약해 그리고 공해 문제등이 종종 말썽이 되고 있다. 필자는 이러한 문제점을 해소하는데 기여할 수 있는 기초자료를 얻고자 전라북도내 11개 시군의 수도재배농가를 대상으로 농약사용의 실태를 조사하였던 바 그 결과를 요약하여 아래에 소개하고자 한다.

  • 협회 최주섭 부회장은 5월 26일부터 3박4일간 일본 츠키지 농수산물도매시장, 환경박람회 등을 한국해양수산개발원, 수산신문, 자원순환사회연대, 구리농수산물도매시장관리공사, 스티로폴 재활용사업자 등과 함께 민산관 합동으로 수산물상자 사용 및 재활용기술에 대한 현지견학을 다녀왔다. 이번 행사는 선진국의 수산물상자 사용 및 재활용실태를 기초로 하여 귀국 후 관련 전문가 간담회를 개최하여 최근 시설 현대화계획 중인 가락동, 노량진, 구리 농수산물도매시장 등 수도권 농수산물도매시장의 수산물 포장상자의 사용 및 재활용방법에 개선방안을 제시함으로서, 수산물의 유통의 청결 유지, 시장 환경 개선 및 포장상자의 자원화에 기여하고자 하였다.

  • 본 조사의 대상은 화물을 일정한 수량 단위로 하역 운송 보관하기 위하여 사용하는 파렛트이다. 조사 대상 파렛트는 용도에 따라서 재사용 파렛트와 일회용 파렛트로 구분하되, 재사용 파렛트는 다시 구매 보유 물량과 임대 사용 물량으로 구분하였다. 아울러 재질에 따라서 플라스틱, 목재, 금속으로 구분하였다. 조사 대상 업체의 범위는 원칙적으로 우리나라 산업 현장에서 파렛트를 생산하고 있는 모든 업체이다. 조사 대상인 업체의 범위를 기본적으로 통계청에서 제공하는 표준산업분류코드(KSIC)에 근거하여 재질, 규모 및 지역 관점에서 분류하여 처리하였다. 그러나 금속 및 종이 재질 업체에 대한 조사는 다소 미흡한 수준이었으며, 목재 재질 업체에 다소 편중된 조사가 이루어졌다.

State of Education on the Use of Oral Hygiene Supplies among Dental Prosthesis Mounted (치과보철물장착자의 구강위생관리용품사용에 관한 교육 실태)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the state of oral health control education experiences among dental prosthesis users. The subjects in this study were 267 adults who were aged between 18 and less than 65 and resided in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. A survey was conducted from March to June, 2011, and the statistical package SPSS 11.5 was employed to analyze the collected data. The findings of the study were as follows: As for the state of education on the use of oral hygiene supplies, The unmarried respondents considered the use of oral hygiene supplies to be more conducive to oral health than the married ones. The respondents aged between 18 and 39 considered the use of dental hygiene supplies to be more beneficial to oral health than those aged between 40 and 64, and the former deemed it more absolutely necessary to use oral hygiene supplies than the latter). Those who used oral hygiene supplies viewed the use of oral hygiene supplies as more conducive to oral health and considered it more absolutely necessary to use oral hygiene supplies. The respondents expressed higher satisfaction with education on how to wash prosthesis and how to choose oral hygiene supplies. The above-mentioned findings illustrated that the dental prosthesis users were well aware of oral hygiene supplies, and that their satisfaction level with related education was not high in comparison with their awareness of oral hygiene supplies. Therefore dental institutions should provide more authentic education for dental prosthesis users.

A Study on Science Teachers' Practices and Perceptions of Using Analogies (과학 교사들의 비유 사용 실태 및 인식 조사)

  • We examined how science teachers in middle schools practiced and perceived using analogies. A survey was administered to obtain 131 teachers' responses from 22 middle schools in Seoul. Most science teachers used analogies frequently in their instructions, and had positive attitudes toward the effect of analogies. They agreed that relevant figures should be presented with analogies, analogy itself should be explained to their students, and something to mislead the students' idea should be mentioned. They also responded that they practiced so in their instructions. However, it was revealed that they neither explained a concept with several analogies nor helped students to make self-generated analogies. Their idea was that proper analogy sources and instructional models were needed for using analogy effectively in science instruction. The teachers with above masters degree explained the analogy itself, and they perceived the needs for supplements and strategies in using analogy more affirmatively. The teachers possessing modern perceptions to science instructions and students' activities rather than classical ones used analogies more frequently and effectively.

The Investigation and Analysis of Field Condition on the Electrical Shock Hazard of Electrical Facilities Used for Temporary Power Supply at Construction Site (임시전력 건설현장에 사용되는 전기설비의 감전위험에 관한 현장실태 조사 및 분석)

  • The temporary power installations are to be used for temporarily supplying power during work at construction sites and have a minimum of protective devices to differ from permanent installations. There are many risk factors caused by loose working environments, deterioration of installations at construction sites. To analyze risk factors of temporary power installations, the investigation and the questionnaire were carried out side by side for power receiving system patch and panel boards, and were performed by researcher, the related expert, engineer of Korea Electrical Safety Corporation all over the country. The objects were variable such as an airport, an apartment, a municipal playground As a result, there are many problems such as a bad lock, poor protection of charging department. Solvable methods are improvement of the related regulation safety education, safety check and so on. In the future, the analytical data can be applied to prevent the electrical shock at construction site, and can be used to stabilize electrical installations.
