Introduction This case series report an attempt to treat Sasang constitutional medicine on Soyangin patients with unspecified hot flush. Methods The patients in this case were diagnosed as Soyangin cold pattern and treated with herb medicine Dojeokgangi-tang. Treatment outcome was monitored retrospectively. Results Persistent hot flush significantly improved to normal levels in all 3 Soyangin patients, and 2 out of 3 showed the effect within 4 weeks, those with more chronic symptoms required more time. Discussion This study suggests the significance of Sasang constitutional medicine treatment in Soyangin patients with Hot flush. Additionally, the characteristics of patients with hot flush presented in this study were verified as meaningful diagnostics indicator of Soyangin lesser yang wind damage. Furthermore, it emphasizes the value of original symptoms as a standard for evaluating treatment effectiveness.

In Sasang Constitutional Medicine, Sungjung(性情) and physiological characteristics differ depending on one's constitution and in turn, the treatment and regimen must differ for each person. Therefore, by observing that antenatal training during pregnancy should be different depending on one's consitution in order to be more effective, antenatal training was compared to the constitution-specific regimen. The importance of antenatal training in Sasang Constitutional Medicine is based on the fact that the constitution of the parents determines the fetus' constitution and mothers' regimen during pregnancy effects the fetus' health. Since Kyungrakyangtaesul(經絡養胎設) supports weak Dangyuh(黨與), it can be used as a constitution-specific regimen during pregnancy.

Through the survey of related studies for last ten years, it was known that accurate sample data of sasang constitution are the most important condition in sceintific research of sasang constitutional medicine. So we can propose three step for scientific sasang constitution medicine: firstly, the construction of SCIM(Sasang Constitutional Information Bank); secondly, the development of instruments for constitution diagnosis; thirdly, the new diagnosis methods based on the organic definition of sasang constitution.

Mangeum-disease is important syndrome in soyangin's pathology taking urgent diarrhea. In this case study, we diagnose one patient as mangeum-disease. She had a cold before and took a medical treatment with antibiotics. During the treatment she had a diarrhea, palpitation, arrhythmia and edema. We diagnose it as mangeum-disease. So we dose her with hyungbangjihwangtang and we had a good result-all symptoms are disappeared in two months.

Objectives The aim of this study was to review the current clinical Sasang constitutions studies by using genetics and to provide basic data for developing in a better direction of research. Methods Research articles on genetics of the clinical Sasang constitutions studies were extracted from six databases. The articles were classified were published year, published journals, and the types of studies. Subjects of research and experimental methods for the genetic research were summarized. Results A total of 43 selected research articles were published from 1996 to 2020 and more than half of them were published in Journal of Sasang Constitutional Medicine and Journal of Korean Oriental Medicine. There were three main types of researches. The three types of researches were for investigating a genetic indicator for classification of Sasang constitutional type, confirming a relationship between pathological gene and Sasang constitutional type, and checking a hereditary of Sasang constitutional type. But these studies did not yield clear results illustrating a relationship between Genetics and Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Discussion In this study, the necessity of the follow up studies to demonstrate a relationship between Genetics and Sasang Constitutional Medicine was confirmed.
