  • 사료는 어류양식 생산 단가 중 30∼60%를 차지하는 중요한 요인이며, 본격적인 양식을 위해서는 양식 대상 어종에 적합한 배합사료 개발을 통한 양식생산성 향상과 생산 단가의 절감이 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 양식 대상 어종이 요구하는 필수 영양소의 종류와 요구량을 구명하는 연구가 선행되어야 한다. 이중 단백질은 어류의 성장에 필수적인 영양소이며, 사료의 영양 성분 중 높은 함량과 비용을 차지한다. (중략)

  • 본회 사료기술연구소는 사료검정기관으로서 혹은 자가품질검사를 위한 성분분석을 위해 분석서비스를 회원사에 제공하는 분석기관으로서 분석능력에 대한 신뢰도 제고와 정도관리를 위한 여러 가지 실적을 대내외적으로 요청받고 있다. 검증된 결과와 신뢰도를 유지하기 위한 노력의 일환으로 국제 Check sample program에 참가하거나 국내외 기관이 참가하는 각종 비교분석프로그램을 주관하고 있다. 본고에서는 당 연구소가 주관 및 참가하는 Check sample program들과 국내외에 널리 알려진 FAPAS 프로그램을 간략히 소개하고 분석결과 평가방법을 비교하고자 한다.

Effects of high energy diet on growth performance, carcass characteristics, and blood constituents of Hanwoo steers distributed by estimated breeding value for meat quality (고에너지 사양이 육종가 배치별 거세한우의 성장, 도체, 및 혈액성상에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was to investigate the effect of high energy diet on characteristics of Hanwoo steers distributed by estimated breeding value (EBV). The aim of this experiment was to determine the effect of high energy diet on the high and low beef group distributed by EBV for quality grades. We hypothesized that high energy diet is able to increase quality traits in high EBV groups when fed a high energy diet. A $2{\times}2$ factorial arrangement (High energy, control vs high EBV, low EBV) in a completely random design was used to feed 26 Hanwoo steers. Blood was drawn from each steers from 11 to 28 months. ADG and feed efficiency were not different between high energy and control diet (P>0.05). The level of DMI was greater at calf and early fattening diet in low EBV groups (P<0.05). Serum glucose and tryglyceride conecntrations were increased (P<0.05) by high EBV group from 22 to 28 month old. Serum NEFA concentration were plateau at 24 months at high EBV group and steady reduced by high energy diet (P<0.05). This data indicated that high energy diets increased serum glucose and triglyceride concentrations of high EBV steers at final fattening period.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of different dietary dimethy-β -propiothetin (DMPT) levels on growth and body composition in Korean rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli) after a eight weeks feeding experiment. Body weight gain, feed efficiency and feed intake were significantly increased with dietary DMPT level. After eight weeks of feeding trial, moisture content decreased with supplemented DMPT level, while crude protein and lipid contents increased with dietary DMPT level. Amino acid content was elevated DMPT feeding groups compared to the control group. Amino acid composition was not significantly different in the dietary groups. Fatty acid content increased with dietary DMPT level.

Chemical Composition and Fermentation Characteristics of Storage Sections of the Round Bale Silage of Fresh Rice Straw at Yonchon of Gyeonggi-do (연천지역에 있어서 생볏짚 원형곤포사일리지의 부위별 사료성분 및 발효품질)

  • The purpose of this study is to discuss the ways to evaluate the effectiveness of storage sections of the round bale silage of fresh rice straw (RS). This study evaluated, the changes of the fermentation characteristics and chemical composition of the different sectors of the RS after a certain period; a month later after the bailing, samples of three different RS (bale one, bale two, and bale three) were taken according to the three different sectors (top, center, and the bottom) of the bale. According to the findings of this study there was no significant difference in the RS's chemical composition content among the different sectors (top, center, or the bottom) of the bale. The possible reason for this is believed that on the basis of different sectors of the bale, the moisture (the water soluble nutrient) movement didn't occur and was locked in and couldn't escape, because the dry matter content of the rice straw was as high as $70\%$. After immediately harvesting the paddies, using the fresh rice straw to produce RS at the same time when the dry matter content is in between $26{\sim}40\%$, the chemical composition was found to be of a good quality. Accordingly, it is recommended that when the dry matter content is in between $35{\sim}45\%$, in order to produce RS with the fine chemical composition of 'Yonchon' region, bailing should be done simultaneously with the harvesting of paddies, before the first frost appears.

  • Growth, feed efficiency and condition factor of the olive flounder fed supplemented diets containing different levels of Obosan were significantly (P<0.05), especialluy at the optimum level of 0.6% Obosan. The hematological values (RBC count, hemoglobin, hematocrit, MCHC, MCV and MCH) were not significantly different among the flounder fed diets containing different levels of Obosan (P> 0.05). However, serum concentrations of total protein and glucose in the flounder, feds Obosan supplemented diets, were significantly higher, while the levels of total cholesterol, COT and GPT were lower than those of control fish (P<0.05)i the values for COT and GPT were only about half that of the control (P<0.05).

  • 단백질은 동물체 조직의 구성성분으로서 중요한 기능을 가지는 영양소이며 탄수화물이나 지방과 함께 에너지를 발생하는 물질이지만 그 분자 구조내에 질소(N)를 함유하고 있다는 점에서 탄수화물이나 지방과 다르다. 단백질은 사료 중에서 비교적 많은 양을 차지하는 영양소이며 상대적으로 가격도 비싸서 일반적으로 사료내에서 가장 비용이 많이 드는 영양소이다. 따라서 여러 가지 영양소 중에서 가장 많은 관심을 끄는 영양소이기도하다.

브로일러의 다리이상 원인과 상품가치 제고방안

  • 브로일러 사육과정에서 3주 이후에 흔히 발생하는 다리, 관절, 발톱 등의 이상으로 압사 또는 발육부전이 나타나 외모가 흉스러운 상품으로 인하여 경제적 손실과 사료요구율을 저하시키는 예가 종종 발생한다. 이때 농장에서는 급여사료의 미량성분 부족이나 병아리의 불량추에서 발생하는 것으로만 생각할 수 있으나 그 요인은 여러 가지가 있을 수 있어 최근 외국에서의 문헌에 실질적인 발생요인을 기술하였기에 인용, 기고하여 각 농장에서 피해를 최소화할 수 있도록 조치하는데 도움이 되었으면 한다.

Effects of dietary Chromic Oxide and Possible Use of the Animal By-product Mixture as a Dietary Fish meal Replacer (무지개송어 사료에 있어 산화크롬의 첨가효과와 축산 가공 부산혼합물의 어분대체 가능성)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the utilization of animal by-product mixture (ABPM) as a dietary animal protein source of fish meal replacer, and to determine the effect of dietary chromic oxide in growing rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss. ABPM is a mixture of five anmial by-products such as meat and bone meal (MBM) feather meal (FM), squid live, powder(SLP), poultry by-product (PBP) and blood- meal (BM) at a specific weight based ratio. Diet 1 and 2 were formulated on a isonitrogenous and a isocaloric basis of $46.5\%$ crude protein and 16.7 KJ/g diet; diet 1 (WFM 100), $100\%$ of the animal protein source came from white fish meal; diet 2 (ABPM 40), $60\%$ WFM+$40\%$ ABPM as the animal protein source; diet 3 (-Cr) commercial diet without chromic oxide; diet 4 (+Cr), commercial diet with chromic oxide. After eight weeks of feeding trials, fish fed diet 2 had a significantly lower body weight gain (WG) and feed efficiency (FE) than that of fish fed the other diets (P<0.05). When comparing diet 3 with diet 4, no significant differences were found in WG and FE (P>0.05). There were no significant differences on condition factor, hematocrit level, serum phosphorus, bone phosphorus, whole body phosphorus, and bone ash among fish from all four diet groups. Fish fed diet 4 had a significantly higher whole body lipid than that of fish fed the other diets (P<0.05), These results indicated that ABPM could be used less than $40\%$ in growing rainbow trout with a sufficient period of acclimation, In addition, the $0.5\%$ of chromic oxide can be used to determine the apparent digestibility of the nutrients in the feed without any adverse effects on growth and body composition.
