우리 몸에는 사랑니, 편도선, 맹장 등 있어도 그만, 없어도 그만일 것 같은 신체부위가 있다. 그러나 별다른 역할을 하지 않는 것 같은 이들 신체부위도 어떤 경우에는 반드시 있어야만 하는 중요한 장기이다. 우리 몸에 왜 이런 신체부위가 있으며, 어떤 역할을 하는 걸까?

While films today offer spectacle to the viewers due to the advanced technique, the "Modern Cinema"-a term named by Deleuze- offers spectators an opportunity to think about what they observe and to have various filmic experiences through the shifting of time image within the film narrative, which has been rather neglected as it is just a form in the realm of classic narrative. Originally the shifted time image was a result of thinking about the identity of a film. But it has self-reproduced over and over, and now it has turned into one of cliches that narrative films take. In this sense, a Korean Melodrama "Sarang-ni" is discriminated from other films which take twisted time image as a convention. The film "Sarang-ni", instead of adopting established shifted time image, put us to the confused time arrangement and then it amazingly arouses emotional effect which it initially meant to convey. This journal analyzes how the time representation of operates in the film's narration, and consequently how the form affects the storytelling.

이 논문에서는 변형 가능한 햅틱 컨트롤러와 포스 피드백 장치를 이용한 치과 수술 시뮬레이션 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템은 가상 환경에서 매복 사랑니 발치 수술을 수행하도록 설계되었다. 햅틱 하드웨어들은 신체와 수술도구의 상대적 위치를 계산하여 충돌여부를 파악하고 저항감과 진동감을 제공한다. 특히 길이 변화, 굽힘 발생과 같은 변형이 가능한 햅틱 컨트롤러는 사용하는 수술도구에 따라 느껴지는 촉감을 표현할 수 있다. 정교한 3 차원 모델로 구강내부와 치과용 수술도구를 표현한 후 햅틱 컨트롤러의 움직임과 버튼 클릭 등의 입력 값을 전달하는 모듈을 통해 가상 객체와 상호 작용하고 이에 대한 햅틱 피드백을 컨트롤러로 전달하여 사용자에게 현실적인 수술 경험을 제공한다.

Panorama of dental radiation generators can observe the wide anatomical structures of oral and maxillofacial areas but there can be distortion of lengths, angles, or shapes. CBCT can diagnose 3D images and get the ones whose errors by superposition and interference are remarkably smaller between anatomical structures. But the quality of the images by movement of subjects can be lowered as it takes long to diagnose them. And if there are impermeable radiation objects like metal in mouths, impermeable radiation lines can radially appear with the objects as center. This study tries to analyze accuracy of panorama and CBCT and get useful anatomical information in dental treatment by comparing the length of wisdom teeth which were measured by Panorama and CBCT with the teeth which were actually extracted and analyzing distortion of the teeth. The test result could be found that Panorama is expanded by average 7.3% as the errors of Panorama and Digital Vernier Caliper range from 110.7% to 103.9%. The length of wisdom teeth which were measured in CBCT and Digital Vernier Caliper could be found that the error range is 1.3%. And the length of wisdom teeth which were measured in Panorama and Digital Vernier Caliper has found that the error range shows 7.3%. So it could be found that the images of CBCT is about 6% more exact than those of Panorama. It could be found that CBCT shows the more exact images than those of Panorama. But because the examination expenses of CBCT are higher than those of Panorama and exposure dose of CBCT is much more than that of Panorama, it is thought to find proper ways in examination.

지난 4월 20일 그랑마니에 니꼴라 부쌍(Nicilas Boussin)쉐프가 한국을 방문했다. 그랑 마니에는 꼬냑에 오렌지향을 더한 고급 리큐르로 우리나라 제과업계에서도 사랑받고 있는 리큐르 가운데 하나다. 제과 MOF이면서 그랑 마니에의 기술팀을 이끌고 있는 니콜라 부쌍 쉐프와 그랑 마니에를 이용한 프랑스 정통 디저트 및 제과 트렌드에 관한 이야기를 나눴다.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate how wisdom tooth extraction is perceived, and to correct erroneous perceptions thereby establishing proper awareness. Methods: We conducted a survey on how wisdom tooth extraction was perceived among adults in 20 households in Seoul and Gyeonggi province starting in December, 2016. Results: A review of the factors influencing the perception of wisdom tooth extraction showed that the regression model was statistically significant and the model had an explanatory power of 8.3%. It was also found that those in their 20s or younger had saw a lower level of perceived oral health, and a higher level in perception in wisdom tooth extraction. Moreover, students, housewives, and professions showed a lower perception of wisdom tooth extraction. Conclusions: It is necessary to have an education program for adults aged 60 or older who have few opportunities for oral health education.

This study analyzed the conflict plots of the top 5 most watched TV series during the 2000-2005 period. It was observed that those popular series typically took love and success as main subject matters to actually aim for such a sensitive social issue as the widening gap between the rich and the poor as well as audience's desire for higher status. They even dared to describe our lives at home and the job as power relationships to heighten the intensity of the conflict. On the other hand, the resolution took a wide variety of both positive and negative endings - ranging from marriages and conciliations to death and arrests - as a way to have the antagonists punished. The deus-ex-machina was often used. A chronological view of the change in the conflict plots of successful dramas should deserve further academic interests.

Nathaniel Hawthorne mainly deals with the ethical problems of sin and punishment in his works. Through these topics, readers have the opportunity to look more deeply into human nature. In Rappaccini's Daughter, he explains how the power of men influences a woman's life and drives her to death. Her father, Rappaccini, cultivates plants in his garden that are toxic and conducts a scientific experiment that gives his daughter Beatrice a fatal level of toxicity. He insists that this experiment was performed to protect Beatrice, but ultimately, it causes her death. Giovanni, who falls in love with Beatrice, provided an antidote in the attempt to detoxify her, but it resulted in her death. Finally, Baglioni used Giovanni to steer Beatrice to drink the antidote to defend his social status. The three men's selfishness and jealousy led to the demise of Beatrice, who eventually died from the selfish power of men and not due to her toxicity.
