A Blind Design of Sunlighting Using Total Reflection (전반사를 이용한 자연채광 블라인드 디자인)

  • The new blind design of sunlighting has been suggested in this study. The material in this blind becomes transparent but the blind has the parabolic edge section having the perpendicular line on a side. The material of this blind is PolyMethly MethAcrylate(PMMA). In this parabolic edge section, the front side of the blind is designed perpendicular to the ground. But the back side is a little tilted to the front side. The rays of reflected sun at the front side can be easily reflected totally by the back side. If the inclination angle in this parabolic edge section at the back side is designed with $15^{\circ}$, it can transmit the rays of sun when the height of the sun is lower than $45^{\circ}$. But it can reflect the rays of sun when the height of the sun is upper than $45^{\circ}$. The suggested design of blind can be applied to the existing blind installation. Although the material in this blind becomes transparent, the rays of sun can be reflected totally at midday. There is also prospect outside of the blind because the material becomes transparent. Several inclination angles in the suggested design have been simulated for the various height of sun. Total reflections have been occurred by the suggested blind design at midday and it can be useful to shut out the sunlight.

  • 하천 내 식생의 분포는 흐름저항의 증가와 수위상승에 큰 영향을 미치는 요소 중 하나이다. 동일한 단면정보를 가졌더라도 식생이 분포하는 하도는 식생이 없는 하도에 비해 흐름저항으로 인해 유속이 현저히 느려져 홍수위 상승을 유발하기 때문이다. 따라서 식생의 종류, 크기, 분포 형태, 잎의 밀도 등에 따라 흐름저항계수를 정량화하며 흐름을 정확히 예측하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 2019년 한국건설기술연구원 하천실험센터에서 진행된 식생하도에 대한 실규모 실험의 조건과 지형정보를 HEC-RAS(Hydrologic Engineering Center's River Analysis System) 1차원 수치모형에 입력하고, 식생 패치의 분포를 고려한 Manning's n의 공간적 분포 및 적용방식에 따른 수면 경사 재현 정확도에 대한 민감도 분석을 수행하였다. 실험은 상단 폭 11 m, 경사 1:2(V:H)의 사다리꼴 단면을 가진 실규모 수로에서 70 m 길이의 구간을 대상으로 진행되었다. 실험 구간 내 6개의 압력식 수위계를 설치해 수위 측정 및 수면 경사 산정을 실행하였다. 실험 조건으로 적용된 인공 식생패치의 분포 및 밀도 조건은 3가지로 큰 패치와 작은 패치로 구성된 조밀한 조건, 단일 패치로 구성된 조밀한 조건, 단일 패치로 구성된 성긴 조건이었으며, 모두 정수(emergent)상태로 진행되었다. 적용된 패치의 형상은 내성천에서 조사된 자연 형태의 식생패치 형태를 참고하였으며, 버드나무 종을 모사하였다. 실험 조건에 따라 유량은 각각 평균 1.5 cms와 2.7 cms로 공급하였으며, 평균 수심은 약 1 m로 측정되었다. 위 실험 내용을 바탕으로 수치모의를 위한 경계조건과 지형정보를 수립하였으며 모의 케이스는 크게 두 가지로, 수로 내 식생의 분포를 종방향으로 고려한 케이스와 횡방향으로 고려하여 조도계수를 적용한 케이스로 분류하였다. 모의에 적용된 조도계수는 실험에서 획득한 데이터와 베르누이 방정식을 활용하여 산정되었으며, 두 케이스에 대한 모의 결과는 실험에서 관측된 수위와 비교하였다. 본 연구에 따르면 여러 개의 식생패치가 정수상태로 존재하는 하천에 대한 1차원 수치모의 시 식생의 분포를 종방향으로 고려하여 하나의 구간조도계수를 적용하는 방식이 종횡단면의 식생패치 위치를 고려한 조도계수를 세분화하여 적용하는 방식에 비해 수위 계산 정확도가 상대적으로 높은 것으로 나타났다.

The Development of Displacement Analysis System in High Strength Concrete Members (고강도콘크리트 구조부재의 변위해석시스템 개발연구)

  • The object of this study is to propose a rational method of resistance strength and flexural deformation for structures using high strength concrete(400-700kgf/cm/sup 2/). The material property(stress-strain relationship) is to be modelize using regression analysis of experimental result. And the applicability of trapezoidal stress model is to be verified. An analytical method is used by the moment-curvature relationship which is based on stress-strain relationships of material for discreted element of section. The evaluation method of moment-curvature of high strength concrete structures is also proposed by using the Monte Carlo Simulation based on a probabilistic concept that could minimize an error due to iterated calculations and random variable of material properties.

  • The objective of the current study is to determine cross-sectional profile of intermediate dies in order to improve the plastic strain homogeneity which directly affects not only the dimensional accuracy but also the mechanical properties of final product by redesigning the intermediate dies using the conventional electric field analysis (EFA) method. Initially, the multi-pass shape wire drawing was designed by using the equivalent potential lines from EFA. The area reduction ratio was calculated from the number of passes in multi-pass shape wire drawing but constrained by the capacity of the drawing machine and the drawing force. In order to compensate for a concentration of strain in a region of the cross section of the wire, the process for multi pass wire drawing from initial round material to an intermediate die was redesigned again using the electric field analysis. Both drawing process designs were simulated by the finite element method in which the strain distribution and standard deviation plastic strain of the cross section of drawn wires were examined.

  • 수리계수는 하천의 수리학적 특성을 대표하는 인자라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 우리는 하천정비기본계획에 의하여 하천을 측량하고 그 측량성과를 바탕으로 수리계수를 산정하여 왔다. 이러한 수리계수는 하천의 홍수위, 유사량, 수질 산정을 위하여 중요한 매개변수로 활용할 수 있다. 하지만, 하천 측량성과가 없는 미계측 유역의 경우 수리계수를 산정할 수 없는 한계가 있는 것이 사실이다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하고자 SWAT 모형의 방법론을 검토하고 미계측 유역에서 수리계수를 산정하는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. SWAT에서는 하도 단면을 사다리꼴로 가정하여 대상 유량에 대한 유속 및 수위를 산정하게 되는데, 이의 관계를 활용하면 유량-유속, 유량-수심에 대한 회귀방정식을 지수식으로 산정 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 검토하고자 하는 방법론을 적용하고자 계측유역인 경안천 유역을 미계측 유역으로 가정하여 SWAT 모형을 적용하였다. 따라서 계측유역에 일반적으로 적용하는 방법인 HEC-RAS 모형을 이용한 수리계수 산정 결과와 본 연구에서 미계측 유역을 대상으로 적용하고자 하는 SWAT을 이용한 결과를 비교하였다. 비교결과 SWAT 모형을 이용한 방법론이 일반적인 방법론과 차이가 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며 이는 경안천이 자연하천이 아닌 정비된 제방하천이기 때문인 것으로 판단되었다. 따라서 자연하천에 대한 적용을 통한 검증 또는 제방하천에 대한 적용 방법의 개선이 필요할 것으로 판단되었다.

Cyclic Loading Test on Connection of SRC Column-Composite Beam Consisting of H-Section and U-Section Members (SRC기둥-H형단면과 U형단면으로 구성된 합성보 접합부의 반복가력실험)

  • In this study, connection of steel reinforced concrete(SRC) column and composite beam which consists of H-section and U-section members were tested under cyclic loading. An essential point of the composite beam is the structural performance of welded joint between the H-section and the U-section members. To improve the structural performance of joint of two beam members, vertical stiffeners, trapezoidal stiffeners, and top bars were used. Five full-scaled specimens were designed to study the effect of a number of parameters on cyclic performance of connections such as H-section beam size($H-500{\times}200{\times}10{\times}16$, $H-600{\times}200{\times}11{\times}17$), the presence of stiffeners and top bars, and the presence of no weld access hole(WAH) method. Based on the test results, deformation capacity of the specimens with H-500 series beam and H-600 series beam were 4% and 3% rotation angle, which is the requirement for the Special Moment Frame and Intermediate Moment Frame(IMF), respectively. Test result showed that deformation capacity of connection with stiffeners and top bars is greater than that of connection without stiffeners and top bars. Finally, energy dissipation capacity and strain profile of specimens were summarized.

Experimental Study on Bending and Shear Performance of Deck Type Void Slab with Trapezoidal Hollow Ball (사다리꼴 형상의 경량체를 가진 데크형 중공슬래브의 휨 및 전단성능에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, a trapezoidal hollow ball is used, instead of a spherical hollow ball commonly used in void slab, to secure the high hollow ratio in the deck type void slab. The bending and shear performance was measured with consideration for the shape change of the hollow ball. And to confirm the effect of deck plate and truss wire on shear performance, experiments were performed depending on the installation directions of the one-way deck plate. As a result, the bending performance of the deck type void slab with a trapezoidal hollow ball was similar to that of the void slab with a spherical hollow ball. However, according to the data of shear strength examined, the contribution of shear performance enhancement of the truss wire had a more effect on the shear performance of deck type void slab, rather than the influence by changing of the shape of hollow ball. In the previous studies, the shear strength is reduced to about 60%, due to the reduction of the effective section of concrete by installation of hollow ball. But in this experiment, the maximum load of specimen, in which the deck was installed in horizontal direction, so expected to have no influence on the shear performance, was only reduced to about 87%, due to the truss framework of truss wire.

Displacement Characteristics of Soft Ground by Embankment Construction (제방축조에 의한 연약지반의 변위특성)

  • In this study, the centrifugal tests were fulfilled to analyze the displacement characteristics caused by the embankment construction on soft ground. Embankment of height, undrained shear strength and with or without geotextile were selected to evaluate the displacement characteristics of soft ground by embankment. As a result, the replacement section without geotextile showed the parabola shape. The replacement section with geotextile showed the trapezoidal shape which represents the uniform settlements. The replacement angle is increasing nearly lineally with increasing the height of embankment and G-level. The position, where the maximum horizontal displacement occurred, was between $0.24H_0$ and $0.35H_0$ and was at $0.3H_0$ on the average. In the case of with and without geotextile, the relationship between the maximum settlement of ground(S) and maximum horizontal displacement(${\delta}_m$) was ${\delta}_m$ = 0.60S, ${\delta}_m$ = 0.54S, respectively.

The estimation of friction coefficient by using entropy theory in open channels (엔트로피 이론에 의한 개수로 마찰계수 산정)

  • Both the friction velocity and the friction coefficient have to be estimated to determine flow characteristic in an open channel. In spite of the importances in an open channel, the complete interpretation is highly difficult because of free water surface, the complex of cross section and the various hydraulic parameters. The researches related to the friction factor are based on empirical outcome. Therefore, the equations are difficult to be generally applied. For that reason, the new friction factor estimation equation using the entropy concept was proposed in the present study, and the data measured in rectangular and trapezoid cross sections was used to verify the accuracy of equation. The advantage of the proposed equation dose not use the energy slope term which is difficult to be measured and to be estimated in an open channel. In addition, the proposed method showed that the accurate friction factor f can be estimated on the Basis of theoretical background.

Development of Longitudinal Dispersion Coefficient Based on Theoretical Equation for Transverse Distribution of Stream-Wise Velocity in Open Channel : Part I. Theoretical Equation for Stream-Wise Velocity (개수로에서 흐름방향 유속의 횡분포 이론식에 기반한 종분산계수 개발 : I. 흐름방향 유속의 횡분포)

  • The aim of this study is that a theoretical formula for estimating the one-dimensional longitudinal dispersion coefficient is derived based on a transverse distribution equation for the depth averaged stream-wise velocity in open channel. In "Part I. Theoretical equation for stream-wise velocity" which is the former volume of this article, the velocity distribution equation is derived analytically based on the Shiono-Knight Model (SKM). And then incorporating the velocity distribution equation into a triple integral formula which was proposed by Fischer (1968), the one-dimensional longitudinal dispersion coefficient can be derived theoretically in "Part II. Longitudinal dispersion coefficient" which is the latter volume of this article. SKM has presented an analytical solution to the Navier-Stokes equation to describe the transverse variations, and originally been applied to straight and nearly straight compound channel. In order to use SKM in modeling non-prismatic and meandering channels, the shape of cross-section is regarded as a triangle in this study. The analytical solution for the velocity distribution is verified using Manning's equation and applied to velocity data measured at natural streams. Although the velocity equation developed in this study do not agree well with measured data case by case, the equation has a merit that the velocity distribution can be calculated only using geometric data including Manning's roughness coefficient without any measured velocity data.
