A Framework of Test Scenario Development for Issuance of Conditional Driver's Licenses for Elderly Drivers (고령 운전자 조건부 운전면허 발급을 위한 평가 시나리오 개발 프레임워크)

  • The purpose of this study was to propose a framework for developing test scenarios for issuance of conditional driver's licenses. The framework was composed of five stages. Initially, we reviewed the literature on traffic crash characteristics in terms of accident frequency and severity regarding the main factors of crashes caused by older drivers. In the second stage, the characteristics of crashes attributed to non-elderly, early elderly, and late elderly drivers were analyzed using data obtained from the Traffic Accident Analysis System (TAAS), and crash types for elderly drivers were derived. In the third stage, black box videos of high-risk crash types were analyzed to derive crash stories that described the circumstances in which crashes occurred. In the fourth step, crash situations were classified by rating the types of crash stories derived to develop various scenarios. Step 5 involved creating a scenario by applying the PEGASUS 5-Layer format, which has recently been used to develop test scenarios for autonomous vehicles. The results of this study are expected to be used as a basis for developing driving ability evaluation scenarios for the issuance of conditional driver's licenses.

  • 본 본문에서는 교통사고와 자살에 이어 사고 발생률이 높은 낙상사고에 대해 영상감지기기를 이용한 신속한 응급처치를 하기 위해 기존의 지능형 영상감지 시스템을 조사 및 분석하고 이를 토대로 낙상사고 시나리오 분석 및 상황코드를 정의하여 낙상사고인식 시스템을 설계하였다.

  • 상수관망 내 수질사고는 매우 다양한 원인과 상황에서 시·공간적으로 광범위하게 발생가능하다. 일반적인 수질사고의 정성적 정의는 "정상적인 운영에 비하여 상대적으로 비정상적인 활동이나 행동에 의해 발생되는 수질문제"라고 할 수 있으나, 이는 매우 광의적이라 할 수 있으며 실제 현장에서는 발생 가능한 모든 수질사고 시나리오를 미리 예측하여 대비하기에 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 국외 및 국내 지자체, 그리고 K-water 등의 자료를 확보하여, 상수도 공급계통에서 발생한 수질사고 사례 및 발생 빈도 등을 분석하였다. 이를 상수도 관망 내에서 발생빈도가 잦고 피해영향이 큰 대표 수질사고 발생 시나리오 선정에 활용하였다. 과거 사례를 분석한 결과, 관망 내 대표적인 수질사고는 정상적 운영조건 (예, 정수처리문제에 의한 유출수내 고탁도 발생)뿐 만 아니라, 비정상적인 운영조건 (수계전환, 밸브조작 등에 의한 유속, 수압 변동에 의한 고탁도 발생)에서 발생 가능함을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 대표적 수질사고는 수리학적 조건의 변화에 따라 관망 내 수질이 변화되어 발생되므로, 수질사고의 현실적인 모의를 위해서는 합리적인 수리학적 관망해석이 수반되어야 한다. 상수관망 시스템의 수리해석 기법은 크게 수요기반해석(Demand Driven Analysis; DDA)과 수압기반해석(Pressure Driven Analysis; PDA)로 구분 가능하다. 기본적으로 정상적 운영조건은 수요기반해석의 수행이 적절하며, 비정상적 운영조건은 수압저하에 의한 수리적상태가 변동하므로 수압기반해석이 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 대표적 수질사고의 모의 시 필요한 적정수리해석 기법을 제안하고, 각 적정 해석기법 별 검·보정이 필요한 인자들에 대해 제시하였다. 이와 같은 수리해석 기법을 적절히 활용할 경우, 관망 내 탁수사고 발생 가능성이 높은 지점 등을 결정하는 방법론의 정확도가 높아질 것으로 기대된다.

Offsite Risk Assessment on Toxic Release (독성물질 저장설비의 사고시 사업장외에 미치는 영향평가)

  • Toxic release is one of the most interested area in evaluating consequence to the vicinity of industry facilities handling hazardous materials. Chloric acid production facility is selected and toxic release is evaluated to assess the risk impacted to its off-site. Accident scenarios were listed using process safety information. The scenarios having effect to the off-site were selected and assessed further according to guideline provided by Korea government. Worst case and alternative scenarios including other interested scenarios were evaluated using ALOHA. Each evaluated scenario was assessed further considering countermeasures. The results showed that the facility handling chloric acid is safe enough and needed no further protections at the moment.

Establishment of the Appropriate Risk Standard through the Risk Assessment of Accident Scenario (사고시나리오별 위험도 산정을 통한 적정 위험도 기준 설정)

  • An off-site consequence analysis is used to calculate the risks when hazardous chemicals that is being used on-site has been exposed off-site; the biggest factor that impacts the risk is the risks of accident scenarios. This study seeks to calculate risks according to accident scenarios by applying OGP/LOPA risk calculating methods for similar facilities, calculate risk reduction ratio by inspecting applicable IPL for incidents, and propose an appropriate risk standard for different risk calculating methods. Considering all applicable IPL when estimating the safety improvement of accident scenarios, the risk of OGP is 8.05E-04 and the risk of LOPA is 1.00E-04, According to the case of IPL, the risk is 1.34E-02. The optimal risk level for accident scenarios using LOPA was $10^{-2}$, but the appropriate risk criteria for accident scenarios in foreign similar studies were $10^{-3}{\sim}10^{-4}$, the risk of a scenario can be determined at an unacceptable level. When OGP is applied, it is analyzed as acceptable level, but in case of applying LOPA, all applicable IPL should be applied in order to satisfy the acceptable risk level. Compared to OGP, the risk is high when LOPA is applied. Therefore, the acceptable risk level should be set differently for each risk method.

  • Along with the recent technological development, autonomous vehicles are being commercialized. but The accident of autonomous driving car is becoming an issue, and safety problem of autonomous driving car is becoming a hot topic. Also There are currently no specific guidelines for clear laws and security ethics. These guidelines require a lot of information and experience. This study establishes basic guidelines based on cases of accidents from past to present. This study suggests security considerations through case study of security ethics in autonomous car accident.

  • 자율주행 차량의 성능을 검증하기 위해서는 다양한 검증용 시나리오가 필요하기 때문에 최근에는 검증용 시나리오를 자동으로 생성하기 위한 연구들이 수행되고 있다. 실세계에서 발생되는 다양한 현상을 반영한 시나리오를 생성하기 위해서는 자율주행 차량의 주변 상황에 대한 측정이 필요하지만, 공간적인 문제로 한계가 발생한다. 이와 같은 데이터 수집의 어려움을 자율주행 차량에 탑재된 블랙박스의 영상을 통해서 생성하는 것이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 DRQN을 이용하여 자율주행 차량 사고영역을 자동으로 탐지하는 방법을 제안한다. 동영상에서 추출된 프레임을 분석해서 교통사고 원도우의 초기 위치를 설정한다. DRQN 학습 프레임워크로 차량의 특징을 도출한다. 마지막으로 특징을 기반으로 교통사고 원도우의 크기와 위치를 조정해서 교통사고 영역을 정확하게 찾는다.

Potential Safety Benefit Analysis of Cooperative Driver Assistance Systems Via Vehicle-to-vehicle Communications (협력형 차량 안전 시스템의 잠재적 안전 효과 분석 연구)

  • In this paper, a methodology to analyze the potential safe benefit of six cooperative driver assistance systems via V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) communications is proposed. Although it is quite necessary to assess social impact with respect to new safety technologies for cooperative vehicles with V2V communications, there are few studies in Korea to predict the quantitative safety benefit analysis. In this study, traffic accident scenarios are classified based on traffic fatality between passenger cars. The sequential collision type is classified for a multiple pile-up with respect to collision direction such as forward, side, head-on collisions. Then movement of surrounding vehicle is considered for the scenario classification. Next, the cooperative driver assistance systems such as forward collision warning, blind spot detection, and intersection movement assistance are related with the corresponding accident scenarios. Finally, it is summarized how much traffic fatality may be reduced potentially due to the V2V communication based safety services.
