  • Nowadays 87 regimes born in the same year with the Korean Association for Political Economy(KAPE in abbreviation) have ended historically. This paper surveys the research trends of KAPE after 2007 for the 30th founding anniversary. This survey is expected to help research way forward of KAPE. The main contents of the surveys are as follows. Global finance crisis caused by subprime mortgage crisis in 2007 expanded to global economic crisis resulting in the crisis of economics. KAPE criticized the mainstream economics with different approach and methodology as well as political economy copying with the crisis of economics and then focused on economics of inequality. However, the progressive economics is depressed under the conservative regime after 2007. As a result, the progressive economics have experienced the crisis of reproduction of knowledge and have become the peripheral science in Korea. With new regimes after 87 regimes, more important than restoration of the progressive economics is rebirth as the progressive economics corresponding to new regime and new era. This is responsibility of KAPE as the single association of the progressive economics in Korea.

  • We report the design and performance analysis of an off-axis three-mirror telescope as the fore optics for a new hyperspectral sensor aboard a small unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), for low-altitude coastal remote sensing. The sensor needs to have at least 4 cm of spatial resolution at an operating altitude of 500 m, $4^{\circ}$ field of view (FOV), and a signal to noise ratio (SNR) of 100 at 660 nm. For these performance requirements, the sensor's optical design has an entrance pupil diameter of 70 mm and an F-ratio of 5.0. The fore optics is a three-mirror system, including aspheric primary and secondary mirrors. The optical performance is expected to reach $1/15{\lambda}$ in RMS wavefront error and 0.75 in MTF value at 660 nm. Considering the manufacturing and assembling phase, we determined the alignment compensation due to the tertiary mirror from the sensitivity, and derived the tilt-tolerance range to be 0.17 mrad. The off-axis three-mirror telescope, which has better performance than the fore optics of other hyperspectral sensors and is fitted for a small UAV, will contribute to ocean remote-sensing research.

  • Congenital muscular torticollis(CMT) is a disorder characterized by shortening of at least one of the cervical muscles and tilting of the head to opposite side. The most commonly affected muscle is the sternocleidomastoid muscle. Pathogenesis and etiology of congenital muscular torticollis were not clearly identified, but considered as fetal malposition, birth trauma, vascular accident, heredity, infection and CNS pathology. Untreated congenital muscular torticollis often causes facial asymmetry and This is the rasult of tensional rotation of the face toward affected side. So early treatment may prevent facial and neck asymmetry and limitation of neck movement. There are many treatment methods in CMT, including conservative and operative method, but presently Bipolar release and Z-Plasty of SCM muscle has been introduced when the conservative treatment had failed. The benefits of this method are to preservation of the normal Neck V-contour and improvement of the neck motion. We treated CMT using Bipolar release and Z-plasty in two patients. After that the patients improved on the range of neck motion and maintained the normal V-conture of the neck, so we report two cases of CMT with literatures.

  • The Purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between congenital muscular torticollis and maternal work activity. This study was conducted with a total of 89 outpatient pregnant women whose child presented congenital muscular torticollis at the Department of Rehabilitation of "C" Hospital in Suwon within the period from 2006 to April 30, 2011. The results were as followings: (1) The mean age at the time of giving birth was 30.09years; the proportion of pregnant women with college education or higher was high; the proportion of first delivery was 82.0%; the most common way of delivery was natural childbirth, followed by Cesarean section and vacuum extraction; the proportion of breech delivery was 20.2%; and in 82.0% of the women, the first child had congenital muscular torticollis. (2) 59.6% of the women had a career; 45.3% had engaged in professional practice or had a related job; 75.5% had worked until the third trimester of their pregnancy; 54.7% had worked for seven hours or more in a seated position; and the mean number of working hours was 8.75 (3) The level of work-related stress was a low 25% or less, and in the subdivisions of work-related stress, only the level of strained relations belonged to the upper 50% or higher. (4) For the correlation between the survey respondents' job stress and job features, stress (full score: 100 points) showed a strong positive correlation with job demand, strained relations, inadequate reward, and workplace culture. Workplace also showed a strong positive correlation with inadequate reward. Mean daily working hours showed a strong positive correlation with mean weekly working hours.

  • The transcriptions of Buddhist sutra in the Goryeo Dynasty are more elaborate and splendid than those of any other period and occupy a very important position in Korean bibliography. Among them, the transcriptions made on indigo paper show decorative features that represent the dignity and quality that nobles would have preferred. Particularly, during the Goryeo Dynasty, a large number of transcriptions were made on indigo paper, often in hand-scrolled and folded forms. If flexibility was not guaranteed, the hand-scrolled form caused inconvenience and damage when handling the transcription because of the structural limitations of the material that is rolled up and opened. It was possible to overcome these shortcomings by changing from the hand-scrolled to the folded form to obtain convenience and structural stability. The folded form of the transcription utilizes the same principle as the folding screen, so it is a structure that can be folded and unfolded, and it is made by connecting parts at regularly spaced intervals. No matter how small the transcription is, if it is made of thin paper, it is difficult to handle it and to maintain its shape and structure. For this reason, the folded transcription was usually made of thick paper to support the structure, and the cover was made thicker than the inner part to protect the contents. In other words, the forded form was generally manufactured to suit the characteristics of maintaining strength by making the paper thick. Because a large amount of indigo paper was needed to make this type of transcription, it is assumed that there were craftsmen who were in charge only of dark dyeing the papers. Usually, paper dyeing requires much more dye than silk dyeing, and dyeing dozens of times would be required to obtain the deep indigo color of the base of the transcription of Buddhist sutra in the Goryeo Dynasty. Unfortunately, there is no record of the Goryeo Dynasty's indigo blue paper manufacturing technique, and the craftsmen who made indigo paper no longer remain, so no one knows the exact method of making indigo paper. Recently, Hanji artisans, natural dyers, and conservators attempted to restore the Goryeo Dynasty's indigo paper, but the texture and deep colors found in the relics could not be reproduced. This study introduces the process of restoring indigo paper in the Goryeo Dynasty through collaboration between dyeing artisans, Hanji artisans, and conservators for conservation of the transcription of Buddhist sutra in the late Goryeo dynasty, yielding a suggested method of making indigo paper.
