The conventional finite element formulations for incompressible materials show pressure oscillations or pressure modes in four-node quadrilateral elements of commonly used displacement and pressure interpolations. The criterion for the stability in the pressure solution is the so-called Babugka-Brezzi stability condition, and the above elements do not satisfy this condition. In this study, a pressure continuity residual based on the pressure discontinuity at element interfaces is used to study the stabilization of pressure solutions in bilinear displacement-constant pressure four-node quadrilateral elements. This pressure residual is implemented in Q1P0 element derived from the conventional incompressible elasticity. The pressure solutions can be stable with the pressure residual though they exhibit sensitivity to the stabilization parameters. Parametric study for the solution stabilization is also discussed.

The SGBEM-FEM alternating method has been known to be a very effective method for analyzing threedimensional cracks in a finite body. The accurate values of the stress intensity factor can be obtained for a general planar or nonplanar three-dimensional crack. In the existing method, eight-noded quadrilateral boundary elements are used to model a crack. In some cases, three-node triangle boundary elements are more convenient for the modeling of a crack with a general shape. In this study, a crack is modeled with three-noded triangular and seven-noded quadrilateral elements by using the advancing-front mesh generation method. The stress intensity factors are obtained for cracks with several shapes and the accuracy of results is examined.
This is describes the automatic mesh generation on the ship hull surface. At first ship hull is defined as a cillocation of composite surface patches which satisfy the geometic continuity between adjoining patches by using Gregory surface method. Node points that would be mesh points are ganerated by considering the surface curvature. The triangulation of the node points is by the combination of Ohtsubo's method and Choi's one. After triangulation, shape improvement and quadrilateralization is done with specific criterin. An application to the actual ship and the results are shown.
In the finite element analysis of metal forming processes the updated Lagrangian approach has been widely and effectively used to simulate the non-steady state problems. however some difficulties have arisen from abrupt flow change as in extrusion through square dies. In the present work an ALE(arbitrary Lagrangian-Euleria) finite element formulation for deforma-tion analysis are presented fro rigid-viscoplastic materials. The developed finite element program is applied to the isothermal analysis of square die extrusion of a square section. The computational results are compared with those by the updated Lagrangian finite element analysis.
Recently, regulations on greenhouse gas emissions have been strengthened, and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has been strengthening greenhouse gas regulations with a goal of net 'zero' emissions by 2050. In addition, in the shipbuilding/offshore sector, it is important to reduce operating costs, such as improving propulsion efficiency and lightening structures. In this regard, research is currently being conducted on topology optimization using 3D printed composite materials to satisfy structural lightness and high rigidity. In this study, three topology shapes (hexagonal, square, and triangular) were applied to the interior of a rudder, a ship structure, using 3D printed composite materials. Structural analysis was performed to determine the appropriate shape for the rudder. CFD analysis was performed at 10° intervals from 0° to 30° for each rudder angle under the condition of 8 knots, and the load conditions were set based on the CFD analysis results. As a result of the structural analysis considering the internal topology shape of the rudder, it was confirmed that the triangular, square, and hexagonal topology shapes have excellent performance. The rudder with a square topology shape weighs 78.5% of the rudder with a triangular shape, and the square topology shape is considered to superior in terms of weight reduction.

A finite element method has been developed to study the material nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrte structures. Concrete behavior under the biaxial state of stress is represented by a nonlinear constitutive relationship which incorporates tensile cracking, tensile stiffening effect between cracks and the strain-softening phenomenon beyond the maximum compressive strength. The concrete model used is based upon nonlinear elasticity by assuming concrete to be an orthotropic material and modeled as equivalent uniaxial stress-strain constitutive relationship using equivalent uniaxial strain. The streel reinforcement is assumed to be in a uniaxial stress state and is modeled as a bilinear, elasto-plastic material with strain hardening approximating the Bauschinger effect. In plane stress state, R.C. beams is modeled as a quadratic element that has two degrees of freedom in each node. And this results of finite element analysis are compared with the experimential results of midspan deflection, stresses and strains.
This paper proposes a method to detect a facial region and extract facial features which is crucial for visual recognition of human faces. In this paper, we extract the MER(Minimum Enclosing Rectangle) of a face and facial components using projection analysis on both edge image and binary image. We use an active contour model(snakes) for extraction of the contours of eye, mouth, eyebrow, and face in order to reflect the individual differences of facial shapes and converge quickly. The determination of initial contour is very important for the performance of snakes. Particularly, we detect Minimum Enclosing Rectangle(MER) of facial components and then determine initial contours using general shape of facial components within the boundary of the obtained MER. We obtained experimental results to show that MER extraction of the eye, mouth, and face was performed successfully. But in the case of images with bright eyebrow, MER extraction of eyebrow was performed poorly. We obtained good contour extraction with the individual differences of facial shapes. Particularly, in the eye contour extraction, we combined edges by first order derivative operator and zero crossings by second order derivative operator in designing energy function of snakes, and we achieved good eye contours. For the face contour extraction, we used both edges and grey level intensity of pixels in designing of energy function. Good face contours were extracted as well.

더욱이, 조선의 ${\ulcorner}$구성교육${\lrcorner}$이 조선총독부의 관리하에서 실행되었다는 것을, 당시의 사범학교를 중심으로 한 교육조직을 기술한 문헌에 의해 규명시켰다.nd of letter design which represents -natural objects and was popular at the time of Yukjo Dynasty, and there are some documents of that period left both in Japan and Korea. It needs to conceptualize watershed with triangular or rectangular elements and to analyze the changes in hydrological components of each element for distributed modeling of rainfall-runoff process. This study is the network analysis of watershed grid for flow routing occurred in each element when analyzing rainfall-runoff process by one-dimensional kinematic wave equation. Single flow direction from D8-method(deterministic eight-neighbors method) is used, and the information of flow direction and flow accumulation are used to determine the computation order of each element. The application theory of finite volume method is suggested for each flow direction pattern between elements, and it is applied it to calculate the flow of each grid. Network analysis method from this study is applied to GRM(Grid based Rainfall-runoff Model) which is physically based distributed rainfall-runoff model, and the results from simplified hypothetical watersheds are compared with $Vflo^{TM}$ to examine the reasonability of the method. It is applied to Jungrangcheon watershed in Han river for verification, and examination of the applicability to real site. The results from Jungrangcheon watershed show good agreement with measured hydrographs, and the application of the network analysis method to real site is proper.
