정보통신기술의 급속한 발전으로 인해 인터넷은 사회 전분야를 변화시키고 있으며 다양하고 폭넓은 이용 행태에 따라 지금 이 순간에도 엄청난 데이터를 생산해 내고 있다. 대부분의 인터넷 데이터는 제한적인 활용 이외 단순 생성과 소멸을 반복해 왔으나 최근 들어 빅데이터(Big Data)라는 핵심 키워드의 부상으로 인터넷 데이터에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 과거에도 데이터 마이닝(Data Mining), 비즈니스 인텔리전스(Business Intelligence), 라이프 로그(Life Log) 등을 통해 데이터 기반의 부가가치를 창출하려는 노력은 시도되어 왔다. 그렇다면 왜 다시 빅데이터라는 이름으로 재부상 하고 있는 것일까? 이는 정보통신기술의 진화와 맞물려 새롭게 부상하고 있는 인터넷 글로벌 기업들이 지속적으로 생성되는 다양한 데이터들을 확보하고 그 속에서 숨겨진 가치를 찾고 인사이트(Insight)를 도출하려는 시도를 통해 데이터 보유와 활용이 새로운 경쟁력이 될 수 있음을 입증하고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 시도들은 빅데이터를 다양한 분야에서 중요한 이슈로 자리매김하게 하고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 과연 우리는 빅데이터 시대를 어떻게 리드하고 무엇에 집중하여야 할 것인가? 본 연구는 현재 뜨거운 감자로 부상한 빅데이터를 정의하고 빅데이터 시장분석, 사례분석, 정책분석을 통해 시사점을 도출하여 향후 다가올 빅데이터 시대의 국가경쟁력 확보를 위한 빅데이터 이니셔티브(Initiative)의 필요성과 중점 방향 등을 제언하고자 한다.

A simulation technique can be used to analyze performance measures and support decision makings in manufacturing systems considering operational uncertainty and complexity. The simulation requires an input modeling procedure to reflect the target system's characteristics. However, data collection to build a simulation is quite limited when a target system includes manual productions with a lot of operational time such as construction equipment assembly lines. This study proposes a procedure for simulation input modeling using video data when it is difficult to collect enough input data to fit a probability distribution. We conducted a video-data analysis and specify input distributions for the simulation. Based on the proposed procedure, simulation experiments were conducted to evaluate key performance measures of the target system. We also expect that the proposed procedure may help simulation-based decision makings when obtaining input data for a simulation modeling is quite challenging.

The purpose of this study is to understand the value of the book, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee as the most favored 'One Book' and the goals of the 'One Book, One City' programs which selected this particular book. A total of 86 'One Book' programs from 2001 through 2014 and 138 The Big Read programs from 2007 through 2015 selected To Kill a Mockingbird as 'One Book' to read. With this book, many communities discussed the sympathy toward the dignity of human being with such subjects as courage, justice, and integrity, and presented its value through book discussions, various programs and events.

현재 홍수예보는 정형데이터인 유량 및 수위 등을 활용하여 이뤄지고 있다. 하지만 실제 사람들이 체감하는 홍수에 대한 위험도는 홍수예보 발령과는 달라 홍수예보가 이뤄지지 않은 지역에서 인명사고가 발생하기도 한다. 이는 수위 측정이 이뤄지지 않는 소규모 하천이나 사람들의 유동성이 큰 도심지역에서 빈번하게 발생한다. 이를 보완하기 위해서는 사람들의 체감 정도 및 인구의 유동성을 고려한 비정형데이터를 활용해야 한다. 특히 소셜 네트워크 서비스(Social Network Commuinty, SNS)를 사용하는 사람들이 많아지면서 기존에 사용되어 왔던 정형데이터 센서 이외의 데이터를 제공한다. 또한 개개인이 작성하는 글은 실시간으로 활용이 가능하여 인구의 유동성 및 시 공간적 데이터를 얻기에 유용하여 활용성이 매우 높은 비정형데이터이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 SNS 데이터를 추출하고 이를 분석하여 2018년에 발생했던 강우사상과의 패턴을 비교하여 홍수예보에서의 활용성을 분석하였다. 홍수와 관련한 키워드를 중심으로 시 공간적 정보 및 추출이 가능한 웹 크롤러(Web Crawler) 프로그램을 작성하였으며 이를 토대로 데이터를 수집하였다. 수집한 데이터와 실제 홍수사상을 비교 분석을 한 결과 강우량 및 수위와 해당 지역에 대한 데이터의 양이 유사한 패턴을 보인 것으로 확인되었다. 실시간으로 데이터를 수집하고 이를 분석하여 리드타임을 충분히 확보한다면 홍수예측에 활용 가능할 것이라 생각된다. 본 연구는 한국건설기술연구원 19주요-대4-시드사업인 '커뮤니티 빅데이터 패턴 해석을 통한 수난(水難) 발생 및 규모 예측 기술 개발(20190126-001) '로 수행되었습니다.

The purpose of this study is to understand the value of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury as the second most favored 'One Book', and the goals of the communities which selected this particular book. A total of 53 'One Book' programs from 2001 through 2014 and 136 TBR programs from 2007 through 2015 selected this book as 'One Book' to read. In this study, 270 programs in TBR 2008/09, and more than 240 programs in TBR 2014/15 and several 'One Book' projects were analyzed. The results confirm the significance of book discussions and movie showing, the focus on such subjects as censorship, banned books, and freedom of expression, etc., and a close relationship between the diversity of programs and cooperation with community members.
