Development of AR.Drone's Controller for the Indoor Swarm Flight (실내 군집비행을 위한 AR.Drone의 제어기 개발)

  • Multi-rotor UAVs are utilized in various fields because of the advantages such that a hovering capability such as helicopters, a simple structure and a relatively high thrust. Recently, AR.Drone manufactured by Parrot is easily operated by beginner due to its internal stabilization loop in the on-board computer and it can be easily applied on various researches for the multi-rotor UAVs by providing an SDK(Software Development Kit). Further this platform can be suitably used for application to swarm flight since it is low cost and relatively small. Therefore, in this paper, we introduce the development process of the controller for indoor swarm flight by using the AR.Drone.

  • Aircraft are an indispensable mode of modern transportation. They are also used as in a wide variety of other fields. For example, aircraft are used for accommodating passengers, carrying freight, and for military reconnaissance. Aircraft ground operations include landing and taking off. During landing, a higher load is applied to the landing gear than during takeoff. The landing gear should absorb impact energy and prevent damage to the main body of the aircraft in the case of an accident. In this study, simulations were performed for two types of plate-spring-type landing gear: that made of composite materials and that constructed with aluminum. The structural safety of landing gear made of each material was also evaluated.

A Model Plane Photographing System and Information Collection for Facilities (모형비행기를 이용한 항공사진촬영과 시설물 정보의 수집)

  • The need of aerial photographs is increasing for small area development such as facility management, site planning, residence planning, and so on. It is not an easy task, however, to take aerial photographs using an aircraft for metric photogrammetry because of the strict regulatins of flying and also photographing in Korea, as well as the cost. As one of efficient methods to take large-scale aerial photographs, we investigated the ways of photographing by a remote controlled model plane(RC plane) with a light weight non-metric camera on board. We had examined the principles of RC planes and assembled a RC plane, And test photographing was performed. Even though we obtained reasonably good stereo-pairs for the grounds and facilities using the RC plane, we found there were yet many problems to be solved, such as difficulties of RC plane control, camera focusing, and accumulation of dust on the camera lens.

  • Morphing wing sections actuated by piezoceramic actuator LIPCA have been designed and their actuation displacements estimated by using the therml analogy and MSC/NASTRAN based on the linear elasticity. The wing sections are fabricated as the design and tested for evaluation. Measured actuation displacements were larger than the estimated values mainly due to the material non-linearity of the PIT wafer. The morphing wing sections can be used for control surfaces of small scale UAVs or MAVs.

  • The Purpose of this paper is to obtain the lateral-directional controllability and stability derivatives of the Velocity-173 from the flight test data and to simulate motion of the aircraft by using In-flight Real-Time Parameter Estimation Techniques. In this paper, the results of the In-Flight Real-Time parameter Estimation Techniques are compared with the results of the Advanced Aircraft Analysis. As a result, Estimation by using In-Flight Real-Time Parameter Estimation Techniques can be done rapidly and their results are reliable.

  • A study on the required propulsion powers at the EAV2 electric propulsion vehicle using power system such as solar cell, fuel cell and secondary cell is conducted, through which the scenario about available supply power is discussed at the optimum propulsion system weight on the specified flight envelope. In the result, it is noticed that propulsion system weight is 7.06kg and fuelcell 500W and secondary cell 100W are available to flight for glider-type electric vehicle with 6m length, 0.35m width.

  • The major objective of this paper is to propose a hybrid simulation environment for autonomous UAV system by integrating the continuous-time model with discrete-event model. Proposed system is able to support high autonomous behavior by combining the planner, recognizer, and controller model to deal with the HL20 AIRPLANE model. Thus, the high level decision may be efficiently issued even upon the unexpected circumstance. The proposed system model has been successfully verified by several simulation test performed on the DEVS simulation S/W environment.

A Study on the Climb Flight Test of Light Airplane (경비행기의 상승 비행시험에 대한 연구)

  • This study is performed to find out the climb performance of light airplane, Chang Gong-91, as a part of flight test to acquire the certification. Chang Gong-91 is a 5-passenger light aircraft of normal category with single reciprocating engine, and the first officially certified by Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation in 1993. These flight test procedure and data for climb performance are used to get type certification. We have got maximum climb rate for operating altitude, best angle of climb speed, best rate of climb speed, and absolute ceiling of Chang Gong-91 using drag polar data reduction method from sawtooth climb flight data. Also we compare the form drag coefficient from the results of climb performance and Oswald's effectiveness coefficient to design values using lift-drag curve of light airplane.

  • 현재 코로나로 인한 각 나라의 입국 제한이 사라지면서 국내외 여행 예약률 증가에 따라 그만큼 비행기 예약도 늘어나고 있다. 그런데 객실 승무원의 근무 환경은 매우 열악하기 때문에 육체적, 정신적 피로를 누적되게 한다. 이는 승객에게 양질의 서비스를 제공할 수 없게 하고 안전사고를 대처하는 데 있어 문제가 된다. 본 논문은 객실 승무원이 스마트폰 앱을 이용하여 편리하게 객실 상황을 확인하고, 원격 제어하며 서빙카트를 조작하여 승객의 주문에 대한 서비스를 제공하는 '원격제어가 가능한 비행기 객실 관리 시스템'을 제안한다. 이 시스템을 이용함으로써 객실 승무원은 객실 상황을 판단하여 즉각적인 대처를 할 수 있고, 항공기 효율적 운용을 위한 안전성과 정시성을 확보하는 데 도움이 될 것이다.

Study on Service Internship Participation Determinant Contents of Undergraduate Students to Influence Their Career (대학생 진로에 영향을 미치는 서비스 인턴십 참여결정 콘텐츠 요인 분석)

  • This study aimed to analyze service internship participation determinant contents of undergraduate students who major in airline service to influence their career. To accomplish this purpose, data collected from 211 students were analysed using logistic regression analysis. Personal characteristic, big 5character factors, social support were analysed as service internship determinant contents. The research results showed grade, GPA, broad experience, flight experience among personal characteristics and extraversion among big 5factors personality as significant service internship determinant contents of students. Also, the research results showed career preparation, career decision making self-efficacy and social support as non-significant service internship determinants of students. It was concluded that active participation with service internship is imperative for undergraduate students in airline service major to enhance career competence upon graduation.
