  • NASA(미국 항공우주청)를 중심으로 무인항공기교통관리(UTM) 체계를 이용한 드론 항공교통통제 모의시험을 진행하고 있다. 국내에서도 2017년부터 안전한 무인항공기교통관리(UTM) 체계 구축을 위한 '저고도 무인기 감시관리 기술 개발 및 시스템 시범 운용사업'을 진행할 예정이다. 본 논문은 지상도로망을 버드뷰(Birdview)처럼 내려다보며 비행할 수 있는 저고도 드론이 안전하고 효율적인 운항을 보장하기 위해서는, 상공에 장애물이 없는 지상도로망의 상공에 가상도로망과 가상신호체계를 확장시킨 한국형 가상 'SKYWAY' 항법 및 관제 체계(${\mu}$ATM)에 관한 기획 연구에 관한 것이다.

  • ICAO(International Civil Aviation Organization) Doc 9803의 국제규정에 의거하여 SMS(Safety Management System-안전관리시스템)의 대표적인 비행안전 모니터링 프로그램으로 인정된 신개념의 운항감사제도인 LOSA(Line Operations Safety Audit-항공운항 안전감사)를 항공사에서 실시하여 정상 운항시의 운항승무원을 관찰하여 실제의 안전취약 및 위협요소, Error를 포착하여 텍사스대학 인적요인 연구소에서 작성한 최종보고서의 분석을 통해 제도와 방안을 개선한다. 본 논문에서는 LOSA실행을 통한 승무원들의 위협 및 error의 유형과 발생율, 관리율 및 관리여부를 분석하여 설명하고 항공사내 개선인 SCP(Safety Change Process)를 소개하는데 있다.

Introduction to Quality Management System of Rocket Fuel at NARO Space Center (나로우주센터의 발사체 연료유 품질관리 과정 소개)

  • The Korean launch vehicle (KSLV-II) has used commercial aviation jet fuel, Jet A-1. Fuel specifications were introduced from Jet A-1 specifications. However, specifications and inspection methods of moisture and particulate matters were changed digitally for convenience and accuracy. To control fuel quality, a fuel management system was established to determine suitability by inspecting it at each stage of warehousing, storage, and application. An analysis room was then established at the Naro Space Center. The possibility of fuel mixing was blocked by warehousing inspection. Long-term component changes were then observed by storage inspection. Finally, suitability of the engine test or the launch vehicle test was determined through application inspection. Long-term analysis verified that the space center's fuel oil storage method was appropriate and that the quality management system was able to handle hundreds of engine tests and several flight tests.

  • Virtual Fire Control System(VFCS) in attack helicopter is developed. VFCS is comprised of multifunction display, store management computer, mission computer, target acquisition and designation system, mission planning system, weapon simulator and flight simulator. Weapon engagement process under the operational environment of helicopter was considered by using the VFCS. We considered hellfire missile, tow missile, unguided rocket and turret gun. The results of this study will be utilized efficiently on integrated fire control system SIL(System Integration Lab.) in attack helicopter.

  • 항공분야 산업은 기계/전자/소재/정보통신 등 첨단과학기술이 유기적으로 융합되어 운영되는 대표적인 IT융합산업이다. 특히, 항공기에서 IT기반 기술이 융합되어 적용되는 곳은 조종사의 성공적인 임무수행을 위한 항공기에 탑재된 응용 소프트웨어와 항공전자장비들로 구성된 항공 임베디드 시스템이다. 항공 임베디드 시스템은 항공기의 성능과 직결되고 신규 개발 및 성능 개량 시 필수적으로 개발해야하는 시스템 종속적인 1차 시스템과 시스템 독립적이며 국내외 부품시장에서 구매 가능한 서브시스템인 2차 시스템으로 나눌 수 있다. 최근 기간산업에 IT 활용 비중이 점차 높아짐에 따라 IT가 기간산업의 경쟁력을 좌우하는 핵심 요소로 부상하고 있으나, IT산업은 성장이 점차 둔화되고 있는 실정이다. 지식경제부는 이에 따라 기간산업의 경쟁력을 높이고 IT기반 융합신산업을 창출하기 위해 5대 IT융합 신 산업 창출과제를 발표했다. 5대 과제중의 하나인 국방전력 극대화 사업으로 우리 기술로 개발한 초음속 고등훈련기인 T-50에 탑재되는 임베디드 소프트웨어 및 컴퓨터를 국산화하고 있다. 본 사업으로 비행운용프로그램, 실시간 운영체제, 미들웨어, 임무컴퓨터 및 무장관리컴퓨터 등이 순조롭게 개발될 경우 전량수입에 의존하고 있는 T-50의 1차 시스템을 100% 국산화할 수 있을 것으로 기대되며 수입대체 효과와 유지보수비용 절감으로 약 2조원의 부가가치 창출이 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 현재 개발을 진행하고 있는 항공 임베디드 시스템에 대하여 알아본다.

  • The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) introduced a safety management system in the aviation sector for aviation safety and mandated the implementation of safety management systems and national safety programs. The activation of the airline's safety management system is not just a requirement for organizational members to create and comply with necessary regulations, but a safety culture to promote and improve flight safety must be established within the organization. Therefore, the safety culture of airlines acts as a major key variable in the safety management system that directly affects safety performance. This study compared the data from the European pilot safety culture awareness, which was the basic data of the survey, with statistics on the safety culture awareness of domestic flight attendants to analyze the differences in safety culture between the two groups.

  • In this paper, we construct a navigation geography database using R-tree, and develop a software for avionics systems such as VOR, ILS, DME, and NDB. First, we design the navigation geography database using R-tree, and construct a database for navigation aids facilities of every airport. In order to implement avionics software, we develop some calculating algorithms for distance, bearing, and deviation angle between an aircraft and a VOR station for VOR, and deviation angle from a LLZ, glide slope from a GP, and range of markers for ILS. The navigation geography database system is composed of map data manager which can construct and update the database, real-time searcher which provides information about the avionics system, geography database, and user interface.

  • KSLV-I (Korea Space Launch Vehicle-I) upper stage KM (Kick Motor) is a solid propulsion system which consists of igniter, SAD (Safety Arming Device), composite case, and submerged nozzle capable of TVC (Thrust Vector Control) actuation. Each subsystem of KM fulfilled development requirements for achieving a flight mission successfully. We confirmed the successful development of KM from the $3^{rd}$ flight test results of NARO on January 30, 2013. This article deals with the requirements of KM and the results on configuration management, mass variation, thrust axis alignment, and major test results and so on.

A Comparison of Orbit Determination Performance for the KOMPSAT-2 using Batch Filter and Sequential Filter (아리랑위성 2호 데이터를 이용한 연속추정필터와 배치필터 처리 결과 비교)

  • In this paper, the performance of the sequential filter for a space debris collision management system is analyzed by using the flight data of KOMPSAT-2. To analyze the performance of the sequential filter, the results of batch filter used in the orbit determination system of the KOMPSAT-2 ground station is used as reference data. The overlap method is also used to evaluate the orbit accuracy. This paper shows that the orbit determination accuracy of the sequential filter is similar to that of the KOMPSAT-2 ground station, but dissimilar characteristics exist due to the filter difference. In addition, it is also shown that the orbit determination accuracy is order of 1m root mean square by using 30 hour GPS navigation solutions and 6 hour comparison period for the overlap method.

  • Despite the development of the aviation industry, aircraft accidents due to pilots' human errors continue to occur. The cause of aircraft accidents due to human errors is that they cannot remove hazard factors that hinder flight safety in advance, leading to accidents. This study examined how job stress, fatigue, and anxiety, which psychologically and physically affect flight safety among various hazard factors, affect pilots' safety behavior for flight crew and pilots of general aviation working in domestic airlines. In addition, an empirical analysis was conducted to confirm the mediating effect of safety culture between job stress and safety behavior. According to the results of the study, job stress not only directly affects the safety behavior of pilots, but also affects the safety culture of airlines such as safety atmosphere and reporting culture. The purpose of this study is to improve the performance of the safety management system through the correlation between the pilot's job stress and safety culture and safety behavior.
