Effects of Green Tea Activities in Rats with Administration of Aluminum in Drinking Green Tea (녹차 음용이 알루미늄을 투여한 흰쥐의 혈청 효소 활성도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effects of green tea activites in rats with administration of aluminum in drinking green tea. Male Sprague-Daweley rats were divided into five groups consisting of the control, aqueous green tea at the level of 1.5%, a aquous green tea(1.5%) and aluminum sulfate solution 500ppm, before the 2 weeks administration by aquous green tea(1.5%) and after the 2 weeks aluminum sulfate solution 500ppm, aluminum sulfate solution 500ppm. After 4weeks of feeding, serum enzymes activites were measured for experimental rats, and analyzed the activites of alanine amino trans aminase(ALT), asparate amino transminase(AST) , lactate dehydrogenase(LDH), cholinesterase(ChE). Comparing to control group, Alanine amino trans aminase (ALT) was decreased in aqueous green tea administrated group and increased significantly administration by aluminum sulfate solution 500ppm group. Alanine amino trans aminase(ALT) was decreased administration by aqueous green tea group and Increased addition to aluminum sulfate solution 500ppm group as compared to control group. Lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) was increased compared to control group by experimental group and increased significantly administration by aluminum sulfate solution 500ppm. Cholinesterase (ChE) activity was decreased compared to control group by experimental group.

Effects of Ethylacetate Fraction of Onion on Lipid Metabolism in High Cholesterol-Fed Rats (양파 에틸 아세테이트 분획이 고콜레스테롤식이를 섭취한 흰쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 영향)

  • To investigate effects of ethylacetate fraction of onion(EFO) on serum lipid metabolism in rats fed high cholesterol diet, four groups of Sprague-Dawley male rats weighing about 100 g were given a high cholesterol diet of 1% cholesterol and 0.25% sodium cholate and EFO containing three concentrations (1%, 3% and 10%), respectively for 6 weeks. growth rate of the hypercholesterolemic group (control group) was higher than the normal group, whereas the groups given EFO showed a decreasing trends, compared with the control group, especially the most excellent effect in 10% of EFO, but any differences were not found between groups in feed efficiency ratio. Serum concentrations of total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol were lower, whereas HDL-cholesterol concentration was significantly higher in EFO suplemented-grups than control group in dose dependent manner. EFO increased HDL-cholesterol/total cholesterol ratio and lowered atherogenic index. Free cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations were not decreased significantly with in 6 weeks, but cholesteryl ester concentration was significantly decreased in EFO suplemented groups than control group, and in case of serum phospholipid concentration, EFO was not showed significantly effect, but it gradually increased the level, compared with the control group. Therefore, it might be expected that ethylacetate fraction of onion is believed to be a possible protective or curative effects for the fatty liver and hyperlipidemia-induced by a high cholesterol diet.

Effect of Korean Gu-Gi-Ja Tea on Plasma Hormone in Cd-administered Rats (구기자가 카드뮴 급여에 의한 흰쥐의 혈 중 호르몬에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was designed to investigate the effects of Korean Gu-Gi-Ja tea on plasma hormone such as renin and aldosterone water in cadmium administered rats. The cadmium administered rats were given 50 ppm and 100 ppm of CdCl$_2$.2$H_2O$ disolved in the distilled water. Sixty male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 100$\pm$10 g were divided into 6 groups according to body weight. The control group was fed standard diet without cadmium. The experimental groups, which were fed standard diet containing 50 ppm and 100 ppm cadmium and Gu-Gi-Ja tea group. The results of this study were as follows; food intake, body weight gain and kidney weight content in cadmium administered groups were lower than those in Gu-Gi-Ja tea group. The contents of cadmium in kidney of the rats were determined by using ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrcphotometer). In kidney accumulation of Gu-Gi-Ja tea groups were lower than those in cadmium administered group. Plasma levels of renin activity was increased by Cadmium administration group, compared with Gu-Gi-Ja tea and cadmium administred group. Plasma levels of aldosterone activity was increased by cadmium administration group, compared with Gu-Gi-Ja tea and cadmium administred group. This results suggested that Gu-Gi-Ja tea has a lowering effects on the accumulation of cadmium in kidney and it is believed that the Gu-Gi-Ja tea has some protective effects to cadmium administered lenin and aldosterone hormone in rats, but the mechanism of these effects was obscure.

A Study on the Resistivity Structure in Central Myanmar Basin using DC Resistivity and Magnetotellurics (전기비저항 탐사와 자기지전류 탐사 자료를 이용한 미얀마 중앙분지 전기비저항 구조 연구)

  • We conducted DC resistivity and MT survey to obtain the resistivity structure of the central Myanmar basin. We tried to analyze the underground structure through the resistivity variation of Myanmar by performing representative geophysical survey methods because researches on the electrical resistivity structure are insufficient in Myanmar. The electrical resistivity is expected to be low considering the marine sedimentary rocks composed of shale and sandstone in this area. The DC resistivity and MT survey were carried out using SmartRho of Geolux Co., Ltd. and MTU-5A of Phoenix geophysics Ltd., respectively, to visualize the electrical resistivity structure of study area. DC resistivity and MT survey showed an electrical resistivity less than dozens of ohm-m within the depth of 100 m. In particular, MT survey data were almost similar to TM and TE modes in the frequency range above 1 Hz. The two-dimensional inversion of MT data showed a subsurface structure with low resistivity below 150 ohm-m divided into east-west direction. We confirmed that the inversions of DC resisitivity and MT data along an overlapped survey line represented similar results. In the future, considering the high electrical conductivity, it would be effective to perform DC resistivity and MT survey simultaneously to study the electrical resistivity structure of the central Myanmar basin.

  • 본 고에서는 컴퓨터를 이용하여 비선형문제를 어떻게 다룰 것인가에 관해 기초 지식에서부터 응용까지를 간단히 설명한다. 먼저 기하학적 비선형 문제를 중심으로, 기존의 비선형 해석기법에 관해 기초적인 기법부터 고난도의 기법까지 일반적으로 많이 사용되는 것을 자세히 소개한다. 또 대공간 구조물의 비선형 해석기법에 관한 이해를 돕기 위해 비교적 간단한 부재인 케이블/트러스 요소를 이용한 몇몇 예제와 비선형해석으로 인한 구조물 거동의 특성도 다룬다.

Damage Distribution Rule of Weak Beam Type Multi-Story Steel Frames Influenced by Strength and Stiffness Ratios of Beam and Column (보 붕괴형 메커니즘을 가지는 강구조 다층골조의 손상분포)

  • In order to evaluate the limit earthquake resistance of multi-story steel frames influenced by the strength and stiffness ratios of members, a series inelastic response analysis were carried out. From the analysis results, the damage distribution rules of multi-story steel frames were proposed. Conclusions are summarized as follows; 1)As the stiffness ratios of beam and column becomes small, the damage concentrates on the lower end of columns of the first story. 2) Considering the strength and stiffness ratios of the beam and column with weak beam type mechanism, the equations predicting the damage distribution of multi-story steel flames were proposed. 3) Through the equation which was supposed in this study, it is speculated that the damage distribution of the rigid or semirigid beam collapse type multi-story steel structure building can be predicted.
