일축대칭 비조밀 스텝 I형보의 비탄성 좌굴강도 산정을 위한 단순방법 (An Alternative Simplified Approach in Solving for the Inelastic Buckling Strengths of Singly Symmetric Non-Compact Stepped I-Beams)

  • 본 연구에서는 비조밀 플랜지 단면이 적용된 일축대칭 스텝보의 비탄성 횡-비틀림 좌굴에 대한 새로운 설계식을 제안하였다. 범용유한요소해석 프로그램인 ABAQUS와 회귀분석프로그램인 MINITAB을 사용하여 설계식을 도출하였다. 실험 및 해석에 적용된 매개변수는 플랜지 보강의 길이변수(${\alpha}$), 폭변수(${\beta}$), 두께변수(${\gamma}$)와 비지지길이 비($L_b/h$)가 고려되었으며, 경계조건은 스텝보의 양단을 횡지지하고 힌지/롤러 경계조건 즉 단순보 경계조건을 적용하였다. 제안식 및 해석결과와 비교하기 위한 실험의 경우, 실험체 지간 중앙에서 같은 거리에 있는 2점 하중을 상부플랜지에 가력하여 거동특성을 분석하였다. 본 논문에서 제안된 설계식은 실험결과와 유한요소해석결과의 비교분석을 통하여 합리적인 설계식임을 확인할 수 있었으며, 비조밀플랜지단면이 적용된 일축대칭 스텝보의 횡비틀림좌굴을 계산하는 데 신뢰성 있는 안전한 값을 나타내고 있다.

  • The evaluation equation of torsional moment for prestressed concrete members in ACI 318-95 ignores the contribution of concrete, T$_{c}$. Several research indicates that the current ACI code is not successful in predicting the observed torsional moment of the PSC beams with reasonable accuracy. This paper proposes an evaluation equation of torsional moment taking into account the inter-effects between concrete and torsional reinforcement on the torsional resistance of the PSC beams. According to the comparison with the 31 test results, the torsion equation in ACI code underestimated or overestimated the real torsional moment of prestressed concrete beams. On the other hand, the proposed torsional equation is shown to be in a good agreement with experimental results.s.

  • Design equations for calculating the lateral-torsional buckling moment resistances of I-section beams with continuous lateral top-flange bracing subjected to several loading conditions are investigated based on elastic finite-element analyses. The equations presented in this study are compared with current moment gradient modifiers presented by other researchers and specifications. The equation suggested in the SSRC Guides(1998) has a good agreement with the results of finite-element analyses. The moment gradient correction factors proposed in the SSRC Guides(1998) should be easily used to calculate the lateral-torsional buckling moment resistance of I-beams with continuous lateral top-flange bracing.

This paper proposes an evaluation equation of torsional moment taking into account the contribution of concrete. On the other hand, the proposed torsional equation is shown to be in a good agreement with experimental results.s.

  • ACI design code is not capable of evaluating the inter-effects between concrete and torsional reinforcement on the torsional resistance of the reinforced concrete beams. In this study, the failure strengths of the ten reinforced concrete beams subjected to pure torsion were evaluated using 3-dimensional strut-tie models. The analysis results obtained from the present study were compared with those obtained from the ACI design code. The comparison showed that the accuracy and performance of the present method were better than the ACI design code. Thus, the method implementing a 3-dimensional strut-tie model can be possibly applied to the analysis and design of the reinforced concrete beams subjected to pure torsion as a rational design method.

  • The current ACI design code does not take into account the contribution of concrete for the torsional moment of reinforced concrete(RC) beams subjected to pure torsion. This code is not capable of evaluating the inter-effects between concrete and torsional reinforcement on the torsional resistance of the RC beams. In this study, 9 RC beams subjected to pure torsion were tested. The main parameter of the beams was the amount of torsional reinforcement and the angle of twist. Test results indicated that the current ACI code over-estimated the torsional strength of RC beams that had larger amount of torsional reinforcement.

  • Since the surface roughness of adherends affects much the strength of adhesivelybonded joints, the effect of surface roughness on the fatigue life of adhesively bonded tubular single lap joints was investigated analytically and experimentally by fatigue torsion test. The stiffness of the interfacial layer between adherends and adhesive was modeled as a normal statistical distribution function of surface roughness of adherends. From the investigation, it was found that the optimum surface roughness of adherends for the fatigue strength of tubular single lap joints was dependent on bondthickness and applied load.

  • The gear system is commonly applied in the marine propulsion shafting system using the diesel engine with the power take off/in system and it also is necessary to reduce propeller revolution increasing the propulsion efficiency. The diesel engine has the advantage more than other thermal engines in high thermal efficiency and mobility. But the large vibratory torque which induced by higher combustion pressure is transmitted to these gears. In this paper, the surface durability and bending stress of gear system considering vibratory and transient torque is evaluated by ISO and AGMA regulation. And the influence of these in gear design is investigated with the theoretical analysis and onboard measurement result of torsional vibration.

  • In roll forming process, a sheet metal is continuously progressively formed into a product with required cross-section and longitudinal shape, such as a circular tube with required diameter, wall-thickness and straightness, by passing through a series of forming rolls in arranged in tandem. In this process, each pair of forming rolls installed in a forming machine play a particular role in making up the required cross-section and longitudinal shape of the product. In recent years, that process is often applied to the bumper rail in the automotive industries. In this study, a optimal SILL SIDE manufacturing technology, model deign and proper roll-pass sequences can be suggested by forming number of roll-pass and bending angle. And also effects of the process parameters on the final shape formed by roll forming defects were evaluated.

Wall Column을 적용한 플랫플레이트 접합부 강도발현에 관한 연구 (A Study on Strength of Plat-Plate Wall-Column Connections)

  • 최근 공기단축, 낮은 층고, 자유로운 평면계획 등의 많은 장점을 가지는 플랫플레이트 구조형식이 고층주거건물의 구조형식으로 많이 사용되고 있다. 특히 국내에서 건설되고 있는 플랫플레이트 구조시스템은 횡력에 대한 저항성을 크게 하기 위하여 기둥의 단면이 매우 크며 직사각형 형태를 가지는 벽기둥(wall-column)을 사용하는 경우가 많으므로 접합부 강도산정모형에서는 이러한 기둥의 형태적 요소를 적절히 반영해야 한다. 기둥단면형상에 따른 플랫플레이트-기둥 접합부의 거동특성을 분석하기 위하여 기존의 강도모델을 검토하고 비선형 유한요소해석을 실시하였다. 기존 강도모델은 위험단면에서의 전단응력분포를 가정함에 있어서 기둥단면형상의 영향을 고려하지 못하여 플랫플레이트-기둥 접합부의 강도를 정확하게 예측하지 못하였다. 비선형 유한요소해석 결과, 하중가력방향과 평행한 기둥폭이 길어질수록 위험단면 측면에서 비틀림 전단을 받는 유효영역과 측면 최대전단강도가 줄어들어 접합부의 강도가 큰 폭으로 감소한다. 따라서 플랫플레이트-기둥 접합부의 강도를 정확히 산정하기 위해서는 하중가력방향과 평행한 기둥폭의 길이($c_1$)이 접합부 거동에 미치는 영향을 적절히 반영해야 할 것이다.
