  • Modeller is defined as the office work procedures(business processes), and that is systemically based upon the real-time collaborative operations by a set of actors, which is called group. This paper describes the design of the ICN editor that is operable under the real-time collaborative computing environment. We use the database agent that enables the ICN editor to operate among multiple actors(group) through the event-driven collaboration platform. Consequently, a set of workflow and business processes defined through this editor is not only stored onto database but also transformed into the format of the workflow process definition language(WPDL) that is a standardized worflow description and specification language proposed by the workflow management coalition(WfMC). This method can improve the performance of workflow processing by minimizing the workflow execution cost occurred during workflow definition.

  • As the knowledge-based society hot been constructed, the size of work process that has to be done grows big and the amount of the information that has to be analyzed increases. In the paper business process can be accurately executed by the rule agent to manage precise rules and definitions to be needed by execution of process for management of business process. And individuals con accurately measure and manage personal schedules to execute process through supporting the agent of schedule management. The model is designed and implemented for organization to improve process of control, flexibleness, agility, reliability, and reuse through business process automation and removing process overlapping and for personal to improve measuring personal process capacity and distinguishing process weak points.

  • According to the cooperation between organizations increases, e-Commerce and virtual organizaions spread, because of IT development, the number of business processes increased from bounds of an organization to crossing organizational boundaries. In order to support dynamic setup of business processes among independent organizations, a formal standard schema of describing the business processes is basically required because of business process models over multiple organizations, which are defined in different fromat by business process modeling systems their own business process modeling systems. The vision of ebXML is to create a single global electronic marketplace where enterprises, without any concerns about size and geographical location, can meet and conduct their businesses with each other through the exchanges of XML-based messages. Therefore, this thesis also analyzes and implements an ebXML based choreography modeling system for supporting collaborations between organizations.

  • Recently, the business process family model (BPFM), which is new approachfor assuring businessflexibility and enhancing reuse in application development with service oriented architecture (SOA), was proposed. The BPFM is a model which can explicitly represent the variabilities in business process family by using the variability analysis method of software product line. Many business process models (BPM) can be generated automatically through decision and pruning processes from BPFM. At this time, the variabilities tend to have inclusive or exclusive dependencies between them. This affects the decision and pruning processes. So far, little attention has been given to the binding information of variability dependency in the BPFM. In this paper, we propose an approach for analyzing various types of dependency relationships between variabilities and representing the variability and their relationships as a dependency analysis model. Additionally, a method which can trace the variabilities affected by a decision on the dependency analysis model is presented. The case study shows that the proposed approach helps to reduce the number of variability decision and to solve a disagreement of functions in BPM produced by incorrectly deciding the variability.

  • Recently, many companies and organizations are interested in predictive process monitoring for the efficient operation of business process models. Traditional process monitoring focused on the elapsed execution state of a particular process instance. On the other hand, predictive process monitoring focuses on predicting the future execution status of a particular process instance. In this paper, we implement the function of the business process remaining time prediction, which is one of the predictive process monitoring functions. In order to effectively model the remaining time, normalization by activity is proposed and applied to the predictive model by taking into account the difference in the distribution of time feature values according to the properties of each activity. In order to demonstrate the superiority of the predictive performance of the proposed model in this paper, it is compared with previous studies through event log data of actual companies provided by 4TU.Centre for Research Data.

  • Today's enterprises take processes beyond their own organizational boundaries in order to electronically trade goods and services with partners under the concept of B2B e-commerce. In this environment, inter-organizational business processes are required and should be well defined not only in public processes between partners but in private processes within individual partners. For this purpose, we propose the method to represent inter-organizational business processes. First of all, a feasible modeling method for the inter-organizational workflow for B2B e-commerce is developed. This method is proposed based on BPSS in ebXML so that the binary and multiparty collaborations share a common process. In this method, message flows and control flows are separated in order to facilitate the design procedure of the inter-organizational workflow process. Second, a well-structured process modeling algorithm to design a well-structured inter-organizational workflow process is proposed. In the algorithm, a process is transformed to a Petri-net-based process model. This algorithm employs well-behaved modeling blocks, well-behaved control structures, and business transactions to develop well-structured process models by a top-down design.
