The Growth Behavior of Surface Grains of WC-6%Co Alloy during Heat Treatment (WC-Co 소결체의 열처리시 나타나는 표면 입자 성장의 거동에 관한 연구)

  • WC-6%Co 소결체를 열처리할 때 발생하는, 시편 표면에서의 급격한 입자 성장 거동을 열처리 분위기를 변수로 하여 관찰하였다. 열처리 분위기로 수소와 메탄을 각각 사용하였고, 온도는 1400~145$0^{\circ}C$, 압력은 1~3 Torr, 그리고 시간은 100분까지 변화시켰다. 표면에서의 입자 성장은 수소 분위기보다 메탄 분위기를 사용하는 경우 훨씬 빠르게 일어났다. 그리고 열처리 온도가 증가할수록, 압력이 감소할수록 입자 성장 속도가 증가하였다. 이때 성장한 입자의 크기 분포는 비정규 분포를 보였다. 한편, 입자 성장은 열처리시 증발하는 시편의 Co 무게 감소와 밀접한 관계를 보였다. 이러한 표면에서의 입자 성장 현상을 열처리한 조건과 관련되어 WC-Co 상태도에서 예측할 수 있는, 탈탄-탄화 반응 및 비정상 입자 성장 현상 관점으로 설명하였다.

Large eddy simulation of a steady hydraulic jump at Fr = 7.3 (Fr = 7.3의 정상도수 큰와모의)

  • The flow passing through river-crossing structures such as weirs and low-fall dams is dominated by rapidly varied flow including hydraulic jump. The intense unsteadiness of flow velocity and free surface profile affects the stability of such hydraulic structures. In particular, the steady hydraulic jump generated at high Froude number conditions includes remarkably air entrainment, making the flow characteristics more complicated. In this study, a large-eddy simulation was performed for turbulence effect and the hybrid VoF technique to simulate the steady hydraulic jump at the Froude number of 7.3 and the Reynolds number of 15,700. The results of the numerical simulation showed that the instantaneous maximum pressure and time-average pressure distribution calculated on the bottom surface downstream of the structure could be reasonably well reproduced being in good agreement with the experimental values. However, the instantaneous minimum pressure distribution in the direct downstream of the structure shows the opposite pattern to the target experimental measurement value. However, the numerical simulation performed in this study is considered to reasonably predict the minimum pressure distributions observed in various experiments conducted at similar conditions. The vertical distributions of flow velocity and air concentration computed in the center of the hydraulic jump were found to be in good agreement with the experimental results measured under similar conditions, showing self-similarity. These results show that the large eddy simulation and hybrid VoF techniques applied in this study can reproduce the hydraulic jump with strong air entrainment and the resulting intense free surface and pressure fluctuations at high Froude number conditions.

  • 본 연구에서는 플라잉 디스크를 이용하여 회전 운동의 유무에 따른 공력특성의 변화를 비교 분석하였다. 회전 운동이 발생하면 표면에 비대칭적으로 압력이 분포하기 때문에 롤링 모멘트가 발생하고 마그너스 효과로 측력이 발생하고 피칭모멘트, 회전감쇠모멘트가 발생하고 롤 안정성이 증가한다.

  • Modern people is generated as musculoskeletal diseases due to incorrect posture and habit. In the case of persistent abnormal posture outbreak inconvenient to musculoskeletal diseases in daily life. musculoskeletal diseases, which began as fatigue, pain, sensory paralysis, convulsions are developed symptoms of movement disorders, depression, deformities, etc. In this paper, the unrestrained abnormal posture and habit of occurring in the seat life, have implemented a system which can be determined in less unconscious way. By placing eight pressure sensors in the seat part, determines the posture over the distribution of the weight, it is possible to determine one normal posture and eight abnormal posture that occurs frequently in daily life. To evaluate the performance of the implemented system, the attitude determination experiment was performed. The results confirmed the high performance of 97%.

  • A unsteady internal ballistic analysis model was proposed to take account for the variance of local variance of pressure and velocity along the grain surface of a hybrid rocket combustor. The model of concern in the study was fairly comparable with the test result. The local variation of the oxidizer mass flow rate along grain surface results in chamber pressure, regression rate, and gas velocity change along its flow direction.

Prediction of Thickness and Loading Noise from Aircraft Propeller (항공기용 프로펠러에서의 두께 및 하중소음 예측)

  • The aim of this research is to predict the thickness and loading noise of the round-tip shaped Hartzell propeller currently used in the general aviation aircraft. Before implementing the noise analysis, the pressure distribution on the propeller was obtained by using the free wake panel method and unsteady Bernoulli's equation. The noise signal at observer position can be obtained by using the FW-H equation. The noise prediction results for the propeller indicates that the thickness noise has s symmetric directivity pattern with respect to the tip path plane, while the noise due to loading shows higher noise directivity toward downstream than the upstream direction from the rotor plane. The loading noise is dominant rather than the thickness noise in normal operating condition.

  • Two-dimensional steady flowfields generated by transverse injection jets into a supersonic mainstream are numerically simulated. Fine-scale turbulence effects are represented by a k-${\omega}$ SST two-equation closure model which includes $y^+$ effects on the turbulence model. Solution convergence is evaluated by using Grid Convergence Index(GCI), a measure of uncertainty of the grid convergence. Comparison is made with experimental data and other turbulence models in term of surface static pressure distributions, the length of the upstream separation region, and the penetration height. Results indicate that the k-${\omega}$ SST model correctly predicts the mean surface pressure distribution and the upstream separation length for low static pressure ratios. However, the numerical predictions become less consistent with experimental results as the static pressure ratio increases. All these results are taken within 1% error band of grid convergence.

  • 이상에서 고찰한 위식도역류의 병태를 간략히 요약하면 다음과 같다. 위액에는 염산, 펩신, 담즙산과 췌효소등을 포함하고 있어 역류된 위액은 상부 기관식도관에 자극을 주거나 손상을 줄 수 있으며 개개인의 점막 상피의 저항도와 적절한 타액의 분비는 위액에 의한 손상의 정도를 결정하는 중요한 요소로 알려져 있다. 위식도역류로 인한 많은 증상이나 소견은 두가지의 기전으로 나타나서 첫째, 역류된 위액이 직접 조직에 영향을 주거나 둘째, 간접적으로 식도 하부에 분포된 미주신경에 의한 연관자극에 의해 일어나는데 위식도역류의 증상 중 두부, 경부, 심장 및 폐장의 증상은 이들 장기에 미주신경의 일부가 같이 분포하여 일어나는 간접적인 기전이다. 하부식도괄약근(lower esophageal sphincter)의 기능은 역류를 막는 가장 중요한 요소로 알려져 있어 간헐적으로 하부식도 괄약근의 압력이 떨어지면 역류가 일어나게 된다. 정상적인 식도의 연동운동은 식도에 역류된 위내용물을 위로 제거되는데 중요하며 위식도역류 환자에서 흔히 연동운동이 저하되거나 비정상적인 연동운동을 관찰할 수 있다. 또한 위내용물이 소장으로 비워지는 시간이 연장되어 위내용물이 위내에 축적되는 것도 위식도역류의 원인의 하나로 생각된다. 이러한 위식도역류의 병태를 연구하는 것은 이 질환의 이해에 도움을 줄 것으로 생각된다.

An Experimental Study of Asymmetric Vortices around Slender Bodies during High Angle of Attack Maneuver (세장형 몸체의 고받음각 기동에서 발생하는 비대칭와류에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, side force, drag, and the yawing moment were measured based on the angle of attack by using two models of different nose shapes with slender bodies, which were general shapes in the subsonic area. As a result, the side force and yawing moment were the highest at a specific angle of attack. The boundary between asymmetrical normal state and asymmetrical abnormal state were able to be seen. As a result of analyzing the side force, drag, and yawing moment by time, reliability varied depending on the shape of the head at the same angle of attack. The results of measuring pressure distribution from the surface of the slender body at each angle of attack were as follows: as the angle of attack gets higher, the distribution of surface pressure was asymmetrical.

  • In this study, the Inlet/Isolator model experiments performed at Texas University were performed by 2-dimensional RANS computerized analysis. First, supersonic flow conditions were analyzed and compared with experimental surface pressure results, and the flow structure was analyzed by confirming Mach number distribution and numerical shadowgraph. Then, the inlet unstart condition was given by changing the back pressure, and the URANS analysis was performed to confirm the progress of inlet unstart.
