Matching of Topic Words and Non-Sympathetic Types on YouTube Videos for Predicting Video Preference (영상 선호도 예측을 위한 유튜브 영상에 대한 토픽어와 비공감 유형 매칭)

  • YouTube, the world's largest video sharing platform, is loved by many users in that it provides numerous videos and makes it easy to get helpful information. However, the ratio of like/hate for each video varies according to the subject or upload time, even though they are in the same channel; thus, previous studies try to understand the reason by inspecting some numerical statistics such as the ratio and view count. They can help know how each video is preferred, but there is an explicit limitation to identifying the cause of such preference. Therefore, this study aims to determine the reason that affects the preference through matching between topic words extracted from comments in each video and non-sympathetic types defined in advance. Among the top 10 channels in the field of 'pets' and 'cooking', where outliers occur a lot, the top 10 videos (the threshold of pet: 4.000, the threshold of cooking: 0.723) with the highest ratio were selected. 11,110 comments collected totally, and topics were extracted and matched with non-sympathetic types. The experimental results confirmed that it is possible to predict whether the rate of like/hate would be high or which non-sympathetic type would be by analyzing the comments.

Study on Adaptability of Rice Varieties at Air-Pollution Site (수도품종의 대기오염적응성)

  • Ten recommended rice varieties were cultivated in paddy area affected by air-pollutants and in normal area to select varieties adaptable to air-pollution environment. Rice plants grown in pollution site showed higher contents of total sulfur and fluorine in leaf through the whole growing period compared with those in non-pollution site, and rice leaves destroyed by air-pollutants were found only in pollution site. Rice grain yield and four yield components of ten rice varieties grown in pollution site were lower than those in normal area. Five rice varieties among ten were selected as adaptable to air-pollution environment, based on their yielding potential in pollution site and grain yield ratio between two sites. Rice varieties adaptable to pollution showed little variation of percent ripened grains and number of panicles per hill between two sites. Chlorophyll content in flag leaf of rice plants grown in pollution area was lower than in non-pollution area. No relationship was found between grain yield ratio (pollution/non-pollution site) of ten varieties and total sulfur content ratio, fluorine content ratio, chlorophyll content ratio between two sites, and percent destroyed leaf in pollution site, respectively. This result suggest that varietal adaptability to air-pollution environment is not related with the amount of pollutants absorbed, but with the degree of response to pollutants.

Determinants of Export Manufacturing Firm Efficiency: Focusing on R&D Intensity in a KOSDAQ-listed Firm (수출제조기업의 효율성 결정요인에 관한 분석: 코스닥 기업의 연구개발집약도를 중심으로)

  • This paper examines the determinants of efficiency in a KOSDAQ-listed manufacturing firm. We use Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to estimate the efficiency of the export manufacturing firm. We employ two inputs (number of employees, equity) and one output (sales) in the DEA. The determinants of export manufacturing firm efficiency are estimated using the panel Tobit model. An analysis of 369 export manufacturing firms from 2013 to 2015 indicates the following results: First, the R&D intensity, the wage and salary intensity, total asset, and equity ratio each had a negative impact on both the CCR and BCC efficiency scores. However, export intensity had a negative impact on CCR efficiency scores in a KOSDAQ-listed total export manufacturing firm. Second, the R&D intensity had a positive impact on both the CCR and BCC efficiency scores, but export intensity, the wage and salary intensity, and equity ratio each had a negative impact on the CCR and BCC efficiency scores in a KOSDAQ-listed large export manufacturing firm. Third, the R&D intensity, the wage and salary intensity, total asset, and equity ratio each had a negative impact on both the CCR and BCC efficiency scores; respectively, in a KOSDAQ-listed small and medium export manufacturing firm.

A Comparison of Instruction Effectiveness between the Experiment of Precipitation and the Experiment with Ball and Stick Model Related to 'Law of Definite Proportions' (일정성분비의 법칙에 관련된 앙금생성실험과 모형실험수업의 효과 비교)

  • This study compared the instruction effectiveness between experiments of precipitation and a ball & stick model related to the 'Law of Definite Proportions' of 9th grade science in this study. The subjects were 250 students in the 9th grade. They were divided into two groups, an experimental group and a model group. The results showed that the ratio of thought in which the elements were divided in the solutions and the ratio of thought in which a new compound was created when the two solutions were mixed were higher in the precipitation experiment group than in the model group. The two groups were not different in terms of the ratio of thought related to the reason for the creation of the precipitate. The ratio of thought pertaining to incorrect answers was high, implying that the two strategies were not effective in correcting students' thoughts. However, the ratio of finding patterns from the measuring data in the model group was higher than in the experimental group. However, the ratios of 'definite proportions' inference in the bonding of the reactants were similar in the two groups. From these data, we concluded that the inference of the 'Law of definite proportion' from experiments or models was not suitable for middle school students.

Cultural characteristics according to different rates of substrate composition in bottle cultivation of Grifola frondosa (잎새버섯 병재배 시 배지조성비율에 따른 재배 특성)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the optimum rate of substrate composition in bottle cultivation of Grifola frondosa and had three rates of substrate composition of 67:11:22(T1), 68:15:17(T2) and 74:14:12(T3) as mixing rate of weight of dried oak sawdust, dried corn husk and dried bean-curd refuse. The rate of primordia formation of T3 was 65.8% which was lowest among all treatments. Contraction rate of disease of T1 was 9.8% which was highest among all treatments. Harvesting rate of T2 was 70.5% which was highest among all treatments. Fruit body weights per bottle of T1 and T2 were 85.5 g, 83.3 g respectively and there was not significant difference between those. Yield per 10,000 bottles of T2 was 587 kg and was 7%, 28% higher than those of T1 and T3, respectively. As a result, the rate of substrate composition of 68:15:17(T2) as mixing rate of weight of dried oak sawdust, dried corn husk and dried bean-curd refuse was appeared as optimum rate of substrate composition in bottle cultivation of Grifola frondosa..

The Effect of the Loading Size on Displacements of Stiffened Plates with Open Ribs (재하 크기가 개단면 리브 보강판의 처짐에 미치는 영향)

  • The objective of this study is to determine the effect of the loading size on displacements of stiffened plates with open ribs using the orthotropic rigidity ratio as the parameter. To analyze the displacement behavior of stiffened plates according to the loading size, a concentrated load and three types of uniform distributed loads were applied on the rib at the center of some plates. The results of the analysis of various stiffened plates show that the central displacement ratio of the distributed load to the concentrated load increased according to the decrease in the loading size, and that the ratio can be expressed as a function of the rigidity ratio for each rib space. The maximum displacement of the stiffened plate subjected to the distributed load did not appear at the center of the plate due to the local behavior, and the increasing ratio of the maximum displacement to the central displacement can be expressed as a function of the rigidity ratio for each rib space. Orthotropic plate analysis can achieve more accurate results using the proposed functions, and the application of the functions to examples of a different aspect ratio and support condition shows good accuracy. Therefore, using the functions proposed in this study, the central and maximum displacements can easily be achieved in the orthotropic plate analysis of stiffened plates subjected to the distributed load.

An Analysis on the Epistemological Obstacles of Elementary Students in the Learning of Ratio and Rate (비와 비율 학습에서 나타나는 초등학교 학생들의 인식론적 장애 분석)

  • Many obstacles have been found in the learning of ratio and rate. The types of epistemological obstacles concern 'terms', 'calculations' and 'symbols'. It is important to identify the epistemological obstacles that students must overcome to understand the learning of ratio and rate. In this respect, the present study attempts to figure out what types of epistemological obstacles emerge in the area of learning ratio and rate and where these obstacles are generated from and to search for the teaching implications to correct them. The research questions were to analyze this concepts as follow; A. How do elementary students show the epistemological obstacles in ratio and rate? B. What is the reason for epistemological obstacles of elementary students in the learning of ratio and rate? C. What are the teaching implications to correct epistemological obstacles of elementary students in the learning of ratio and rate? In order to analyze the epistemological obstacles of elementary students in the learning of ratio and rate, the present study was conducted in five different elementary schools in Seoul. The test was administered to 138 fifth grade students who learned ratio and rate. The test was performed three times during six weeks. In case of necessity, additional interviews were carried out for thorough examination. The final results of the study are summarized as follows. The epistemological obstacles in the learning of ratio and rate can be categorized into three types. The first type concerns 'terms'. The reason is that realistic context is not sufficient, a definition is too formal. The second type of epistemological obstacle concerns 'calculations'. This second obstacle is caused by the lack of multiplication thought in mathematical problems. As a result of this study, the following conclusions have been made. The epistemological obstacles cannot be helped. They are part of the natural learning process. It is necessary to understand the reasons and search for the teaching implications. Every teacher must try to develop the teaching method.

Change of Soil Physicochemical Properties by Mixed Ratio of 4 Types of Soil Amendments Used in Golf Course (골프장에 사용되는 4가지 토양개량제들의 혼합비율에 따른 토양이화학성의 변화)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of the mixed ratio of the soil amendments, peat, humate, peatmoss and zeolite, on the soil physicochemical properties. The mixed ratios of soil amendments were 0%, 3%, 5%, 7% and 10% (v/v) incorporated with sand which met to the USGA (United State of Golf Association) recommendation. It was measured pH, EC and CEC as a chemical properties. Porosity, capillary porosity, air-filled porosity, bulk density and hydraulic conductivity were also measured to analyze the changes of physical properties. Chemical properties were significantly different by mixture ratios of peat, humate, peatmoss and zeolite. When the results were applied to the USGA standard of the soil physical properties, the optimum mixture ratios of peat, humate and peatmoss were 5%, 3% and 7%, respectively. Air-filled porosity was factor involved in soil physical properties by blending with soil amendments and it was affected on volume of porosity and hydraulic conductivity. To analyze the corelation of mixture ratio versus to physical characters, the ratio of peat and peatmoss was significantly related to capillary porosity and hydraulic conductivity (P<0.05), that of humate hydraulic conductivity (P<0.01), and that of zeolite air-filled porosity and volume of porosity (P<0.05). These results could be used as a basic data for construction USGA sand green.

Effects of the Feeding Mixed Oils with Various Level of n-3 and n-6 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid on the Lipid Components of Liver, Brain, Testis and Kidney in Dietary Hyperlipidemic Rats (n-3 및 n-6계 다불포화 지방산의 함유비율이 다른 유지가 식이성 고지혈증 흰쥐의 간장, 뇌, 고환 및 신장의 지질 성분에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was designed to examine effects of the various levels of sardine and safflower oil mix on lipid contents of serveral tissues in dietary hyperlipidemic rats. Experimental oils were 16% butter(control group), 8% butter +8% olive oil(group 2) 8% butter+8% sardine oil(group 3) 8% butter+6% sardine oil+2% safflower oil(group 4), 8% butter+4% sardine oil+4% safflower oil(group 5),8% butter+2% sardine oil+6% safflower oil(group 6) and 8% butter+8% safflower oil(group 7). The diet administered to the male rats of Sprague-Dawley were fed for 4 weeks. In livers, total cholesterol and triglyceride, phospholipid concentrations were lowest in the group 5 and free cholesterol concentrations were lower in the groups 4 and 5, particularly. Total cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations in brain were significantly lower in the group 5 and phospholipids were lowest in the group 3, while free cholesterol were group 7. In testes, total cholesterol and triglyceride, phospholipid, free cholesterol concentrations were lower in the all experimental groups than the control group, but those of kidney were lower in the groups 3, 7 than in the control group. Feeding mixed oil having equal quantity of sardine oil and safflower oil were effective on the reduction of the lipid contents in the principal tissues. It might be due to the effects of appropriate ratios of P/S, 0.85 and n-6/n3-p, 2.85 in the test lipids.

  • This study was designed to observe the effects of the feeding mixed with the sardine oil containing n-3 EPA, DHA and the safflower oil in which rich n-6 linoleic acid on the improvement of the lipids and on the fatty acid matabolism of serum lipoprotein in the dietary hyperlipidemic rats. Experimental oils mixed with 16% butter(control group) and 8% butter+8% olive oil, 8% butter and various level of sardine and safflower oils were administered to the male rats of the Sprague Dawley for 4 weeks. Concentrations of total cholesterol in serum lipoproteins were highest in the LDL, followed by VLDL, HDL and chylomicron components. in the triglyceride concentrations, chylomicron were highest, and much VLDL, LDL, HDL components. There were highest in the HDL, followed by LDL, VLDL and chylomicron in phospholipid concentrations of serum lipoproteins. Concentrations of total cholesterol, triglyceride and phospholipid in serum lipoprotein were lower in the other groups than in the control groups, and particularly, lowest in the group 5(4% sardine oil+4% safflower oil). From this results, the feeding equal quantity mixed oil with n-3 PUFA rich sardine oil and n-6 PUFA rich safflower oil were effective on the improvement of the lipid composition in the serum lipoprotein. It might be due to the effects of appropriate rations of P/S, 0.85 and n-6/n-3P, 2.85 in the test lipids. In the fatty acid composition of serum lipoprotein, ratio of P/S and n-3/n-6P were influenced from the fatty acid compositions of the mixed test lipids. And EPA contents were higher in the chylomicron components.
