A Study on Guidance Law Design and Simulation of Multiple UAV Formation Flying (다비행체 편대비행을 위한 유도법칙 및 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구)

  • A guidance scheme for controlling the relative geometry of multiple flight vehicle formation flying is proposed. Each flight vehicle in the formation takes the roles of leader and follower simultaneously except for the formation leader. In this scheme, the flight commands for a leader are shared by all the followers and this leaders to a synchronized flight of all flight vehicles comprising the formation. Lyapunov stability theorem is used to obtain the guidance law. High fidelity nonlinear simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed guidance law using a reconnaissance and surveillance mission example.

  • 최근 개발된 비선형 자동조종 제어기를 사용하면 비행 환경에 무관하게 BTT 미사일의 입출력 동특성이 일정한 선형 시스템의 형대로 표현될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 특성을 바탕으로 BTT 미사일이 목표물의 취약 지점을 정밀하게 요격할 수 있도록 자동조종장치 동역학의 시간 지연 효과를 고려하여 표적 충돌각을 최소화하는 최적 종말 유도 법칙을 설계하였다. 제안된 최적 종말 유도 법칙은 극좌표 변환을 사용하지 않기 때문에 가제어성을 보장하며, 가속도 편향값을 사용하지 않기 때문에 기존의 유도 법칙에 비하여 미사일의 기동성을 향상시킬 수 있는 장점을 갖는다.

Analysis on Optimality of Proportional Navigation Based on Nonlinear Formulation (비선형 운동방정식에 근거한 비례항법유도의 최적성에 관한 해석)

  • Analysis on optimality of the proportional navigation guidance(PNG) law is presented in this paper. While most of previous studies on optimality of PNG were relied on the linear formulation, this paper is based on the nonlinear formulation. The analysis shows that PNG is an optimal solution minimizing a range-weighted control energy, where the weighting function is an inverse of $\alpha$ power of the distance-to-target. We show that the navigation constant N is related to $\alpha$ directly. And also the conditions required to ensure the analysis result are investigated.

  • 본 논문에서는 항공기의 3자유도 질점 모델과 Dubins 곡선을 이용한 3차원 경로생성 알고리즘 및 비선형 경로추종 유도기법을 통합하여 항공기의 경로계획을 위해 적용한 경로생성 알고리즘을 검증하고, 경로추종 성능과 항공교통관리를 위한 시뮬레이션에 3자유도 질점 항공기 모델 사용의 타당성을 확인하였다. 최적경로 생성을 위해 사용된 Dubins 곡선의 경우 계산속도가 빠르고 경로계획에 바로 적용이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 하지만 주로 2차원 상의 경로문제를 다루기 때문에 이를 3차원 비행경로로 확장시킨 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 경로추종을 위한 유도제어법칙은 Specific Acceleration 명령을 통해 자세를 제어하는 비선형 경로추종 유도법칙을 활용하였으며, 이에 대한 결과를 확인하였다.

A Guidance Law Study for Anti-Ballistic Missile Defense (대탄도탄 방어용 유도기법 연구)

  • As a part of closed-loop guidance law studies for anti-ballistic missile defense, a mid-course guidance law is proposed to engage the target with the predetermined attitude for increased terminal effectiveness. The proposed guidance law is based on the predicted target position calculated from a simplified solution of target motion and the estimates of an extended Kalman filter utilizing noisy nonlinear radar measurements. Extension of the proposed mid-course guidance to 3 dimensional engagements are also studied. Performance of the proposed mid-course guidance law together with a terminal guidance law in the form of conventional proportional navigation guidance is evaluated by a series of simulation studies.

  • This paper represents a method for designing of path following Line-of-Sight(LOS) guidance law based on vehicle kinematics. In general, a LOS guidance law which is composed of gains and approach length as design parameters is designed by empirical or trial-and-error method. These approaches cannot guarantee a precision tracking performance of guidance law consistently. Also, the design parameters should be redesigned with variations of vehicle maneuverability and flight velocity. Based on a vehicle kinematics with its velocity, the proposed method for designing of parameters not only minimizes the number of design parameters, also has a reliable and consistent tracking performance using variable guidance gain changed in accordance with flight velocity. This is validated by nonlinear simulation with $1^{st}$ order attitude response dynamics and flight experiments with given linear and circular path.

  • This paper shows that the conventional proportional navigation guidance(PNG) law with a constant navigation gain is an optimal solution strictly also when the velocity is varying during engagement. Especially, PNG with navigation constant, 3, is an optimal solution minimizing a closing velocity weighted induced-drag. While most of previous studies on optimality of PNG were relied on the linear formulation and the constant speed assumption, this study presents more general analysis results on optimality of PNG based on the nonlinear formulation and the time-varying velocity assumption.

  • 선형 및 비선형 GPA 기법을 이용한 가스터빈 엔진의 성능예측 및 진단을 연구하고 전형적 산업용 가스터빈 엔진인 TB5000에 적용하여 최적의 계측변수를 정의하였다. 선형 GPA는 가스가 지나가는 구성품의 계측가능한 온도, 압력, 연료유량, 로터 회전수 등과 같은 종속변수와 효율, 유량과 같은 측정불가능한 독립변수의 관계 방정식을 열역학 법칙, 연속방정식, 질량 및 에너지 보존법칙, 구성품 성능곡선 등으로부터 유도하는 것이며 비선형 GPA는 독립변수와 종속변수의 비선형 관계를 충분히 고려하기 위해 선형 GPA를 반복적으로 적용하는 방법이다. 본 연구에서 반복기법은 Newton-Raphson 반복기법을 사용하였다.

  • Recently it is tried to use load control for maneuver moving object. MIN design method proposed to solve control problem of nonlinear system using load concept. Min design method shows direct method for finding control value on the load control model. In this paper, is shown load control value for problem of line of sight on missile guidance. The load control value keep given velocity of missile and angle of attack for tracking target.

Composite Guidance Law for Impact Angle Control of Passive Homing Missiles (수동 호밍 유도탄의 충돌각 제어를 위한 복합 유도법칙)

  • In this paper, based on the characteristics of proportional navigation, a composite guidance law is proposed for impact angle control of passive homing missiles maintaining the lock-on condition of the seeker. The proposed law is composed of two guidance commands: the first command is to keep the look angle constant after converging to the specific look angle of the seeker, and the second is to impact the target with terminal angle constraint and is implemented after satisfying the specific line of sight(LOS) angle. Because the proposed law considers the seeker's filed-of-view(FOV) and acceleration limits simultaneously and requires neither time-to-go estimation nor relative range information, it can be easily applied to passive homing missiles. The performance and characteristics of the proposed law are investigated through nonlinear simulations with various engagement conditions.
