The Analysis of Difference in Awareness and Needs of Social Communication of Guardians Caring for Adolescent with Development Disorders Adolscents (발달장애 청소년 양육자의 사회적 의사소통 인식과 요구도 차이 분석)

  • This study the awareness and the demands of the parents on the communication level for social participation of the youth with developmental disability were identified and investigated the relation on client's age, detection time of the condition, disability grades, handicapped types, speech therapy period. For the non-parametric test, Man-Whitney U test, and Kruskal-Wallis test were performed and for post-hoc test, Scheffe test was performed. The results of this study was that the significant difference was found in the awareness and the demand of the communication level of the youth with developmental disability according to the age of children, time of discovery, disability grade, type of disability and speech therapy period. In conclusion, the speech therapy for the youth with developmental disability should be made in the dimension of communication for the purpose of social participation. The follow-up research to emphasize the social support and the institutional backup will be required.

Ordinal Variable Selection in Decision Trees (의사결정나무에서 순서형 분리변수 선택에 관한 연구)

  • The most important component in decision tree algorithm is the rule for split variable selection. Many earlier algorithms such as CART and C4.5 use greedy search algorithm for variable selection. Recently, many methods were developed to cope with the weakness of greedy search algorithm. Most algorithms have different selection criteria depending on the type of variables: continuous or nominal. However, ordinal type variables are usually treated as continuous ones. This approach did not cause any trouble for the methods using greedy search algorithm. However, it may cause problems for the newer algorithms because they use statistical methods valid for continuous or nominal types only. In this paper, we propose a ordinal variable selection method that uses Cramer-von Mises testing procedure. We performed comparisons among CART, C4.5, QUEST, CRUISE, and the new method. It was shown that the new method has a good variable selection power for ordinal type variables.

A Study of a Singing Program for Decreasing Withdrawal Behaviors of Children in Low-Income Families (저소득층 가정 아동의 위축행동 감소를 위한 가창 프로그램 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a singing program on withdrawal behaviors of children in low-income families. To measure the effects of the singing program, the researcher compared the results of K-YSR and TRF withdrawal scales before and after the program. Finally, the researcher did research on the subjects' musical and non-musical behaviors related to withdrawal through a record of behavior observation. The results of this study were asfollows: First, after comparing the results of K-YSR and TRF withdrawal scales conducted before and after the singing program, the mean of the scores was decreased by 6.4 and 3.6 points respectively (p = .042). Second, an analysis of withdrawal-related behavioral changes in music activities after the program showed an increase in frequency of eye contact, as well as tone and volume of subjects' voices. The results of this study indicate that the singing program has positive effects on withdrawal behaviors of children in low-income familiesin addition, it is effective in alleviating withdrawal-related behaviors.

A Comparative Analysis of Face-to-face and Non-face-to-face Education Based on the Mock Test for a Radiologist (방사선사면허 시험 대비 모의고사 중심으로 대면 교육과 비대면 교육비교 분석)

  • The COVID-19 crisis inevitably led to full-scale non-face-to-face education in 2020. The researchers selected five universities out of 48 universities in radiology and radiology departments nationwide (1.2 in 2019 and 1.2 in 2020) to examine the results of face-to-face training and non-face-to-face mock tests conducted by senior students in radiology departments and radiology departments of the national health department (12 in 2019 and 1.2 in 2020) in preparation for the license test. It turned out to be. Comparing the results of face-to-face and non-face-to-face training (two in 2019 and two in 2020), statistics were analyzed by nonparametric tests, and the results showed that there were differences in theory (Z=-2.023, p<0.05, application (Z=-2.023), p<0.05), practical skills (Z=-1.753, and p<0.05). As a result of the mock test, non-face-to-face education results in poor grades compared to face-to-face education, it is believed that lectures should be taught differently or various educational methods that can communicate with students should be combined.

Effectiveness Evaluation of Web-Based Cognitive Training Program for the Elderly Registered in the Rural Dementia Center (농촌 치매안심센터에 등록된 노인을 위한 웹기반 인지훈련 프로그램의 효과성 평가)

  • This study is single-group pretest-posttest design study to examine the effects of web-based cognitive training program using tablet on cognition and depression in the elderly with high risk of dementia or mild dementia living in a rural area, enrolled in dementia center. Intervention was provided to the 18 participants once a week for 10 weeks within 1 hour. Data was analyzed with SPSS 24.0 and interview data was categorized. The study result proves that after intervention, the participants' cognitive score increased significantly(Z=-3.35, p=.001) and the depression scores were significantly decreased(Z=-3.13, p=.002). Also, interview shows positive effect of the intervention on cognition and depression. It is necessary to improve access environment for smart devices so as not to be restricted by time and place, and to develop and apply various types of web-based programs for each cognitive level. Then, the intervention could be used as a cognitive training program incorporating information and communication technology for the prevention and management of dementia in rural areas.

The Significance Test on the AHP-based Alternative Evaluation: An Application of Non-Parametric Statistical Method (AHP를 이용한 대안 평가의 유의성 분석: 비모수적 통계 검정 적용)

  • The method of weighted sum of evaluation using AHP is widely used in feasibility analysis and alternative selection. Final scores are given in forms of weighted sums and the alternative with largest score is selected. With two alternatives, as in feasibility analysis, the final score greater than 0.5 gives the selection but there remains a question that how large is large enough. KDI suggested a concept of 'grey area' where scores are between 0.45 and 0.55 in which decisions are to be made with caution, but it lacks theoretical background. Statistical testing was introduced to answer the question in some studies. It was assumed some kinds of probability distribution, but did not give the validity on them. We examine the various cases of weighted sum of evaluation score and show why the statistical testing has to be introduced. We suggest a non-parametric testing procedure which does not assume a specific distribution. A case study is conducted to analyze the validity of our suggested testing procedure. We conclude our study with remarks on the implication of analysis and the future way of research development.

A Study of Practical Training Anxiety, Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy, and Career Decision Level of Students Majoring in Language Rehabilitation in College (전문대학교 언어재활과 학생들의 실습 불안과 진로 결정 자기 효능감 및 진로결정 수준 인식에 대한 연구)

  • This study used three types of survey, an anxiety for practice, a career decision making self-efficacy, and a career decision level for students majoring in language rehabilitation in college in order to provide an effective guide for practice and career decision. By using 18.0 SPSS statistic package, the data has examined with Mann-Whitney test, Kruskal-Wallis test and Bonferroni test based on student's grade, academic record and practice duration. The result of study is as follows. First, based on grade, students showed significant differences on several subfactors of the anxiety for practice and the level of career decision-making. Second, based on an academic point and practice duration, there were significantly different in several subfactors of the anxiety for practice, the career decision-making self efficacy, the career decision level. Consequently grade, academic record and practice duration influenced student's conception for practice and career.

  • In this technical information, the long-term measurement data at Gosan between 1992 and 2001 are analyzed with various statistical methods. First. it was confirmed that the basic assumption of t-test is important to classify data correctly. Second, it was founded that the difference of the number of data per month can affect the averaged concentration. Third, by using a non-parametric statistical method long term trend of aerosol composition free from seasonal effects is obtained.

Study on the Self-Efficacy for Older Adults Living Alone using Pansori Creative Therapy Program - Focusing on Vocal Sound - (판소리 창작 음악치료 프로그램을 통한 독거노인의 자기효능감 증진에 관한 연구 - 성음을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of Pansori creative therapy focusing on a vocal sound on the self-efficacy of older adults living alone. Participants were 6 aged people who were living alone and who attended S Welfare Center for aged people. Pansori creative programs were provided twice a week for 6 weeks. The program consisted of 5 stages that had 50 minutes for each section. Quantitative data were collected from a pre-and post-self-efficacy scale (Park, Gyung-min, 1994) in order to confirm the changes in self-efficacy of the participants. Results showed statistical significance in self-efficacy scores (p < .05). In addition, positive verbal comments on decreased performance anxiety were found from participants during interviews conducted after the completion of Pansori creative program.

Image noise reduction algorithms using nonparametric method (비모수 방법을 사용한 영상 잡음 제거 알고리즘)

  • Noise reduction is an important field in image processing and requires a statistical approach. However, it is difficult to assume a specific distribution of noise, and a spatial filter that reflects regional characteristics is a small sample and cannot be accessed in a parametric manner. The first order image differential and the second order image differential show a clear difference according to the noise level included in the image and can be more clearly understood using the canyon edge detector. The Fligner-Killeen test was performed and the bootstrap method was used to statistically check the noise level. The estimated noise level was set between 0 and 1 using the cumulative distribution function of the beta distribution. In this paper, we propose a nonparametric noise reduction algorithm that accounts for the noise level included in the image.
