A Key Stream Synchronization Compensation Algorithm using Address Bits on Frame Relay Protocol (프레임릴레이 프로토콜에서 주소비트를 이용한 키스트림 동기 보상 알고리즘)

  • 논문에서는 프레임릴레이 프로토콜을 사용하는 암호 통신 시스템에 적합한 키 스트림 동기 방식을 제안하였다. 제안된 주소영역의 확장 비트를 이용한 키 스트림 동기 방식은 단위 측정 시간 동안 측정된 프레임릴레이 프로토콜의 주소영역의 확장 비트 정보와 플래그 패턴의 수신률을 이용하여 문턱값보다 적은 경우에 동기 신호와 세션 키를 전송하므로써 종래의 주기적인 동기 방식에서 전송 효율성 저하와 주기적인 상이한 세션 키 발생, 다음 주김까지 동기 이탈 상태로 인한 오류 확산 등의 단점을 해결하였다. 제안된 알고리즘을 데이터 링크 계층의 처리기능을 최소화하여 패킷 망의 고속화가 가능하도록 설계된 프레임릴레이 프로토콜에서 서비스되는 동기식 스트림 암호 통신 시스템에 적용하여 slip rate $10^{-7}$의 환경에서 주기가 Isec인 주기적인 동기 방식에서 요구되는 9.6*10/ sup 6/비트에 비해 6.4*$10^{5}$비트가 소요됨으로써 전송율 측면에서의 성능 향상과 오복호율과 오복호율과 오복호 데이터 비트 측면에서 성능 향상을 얻었다.다.

  • 본 논문은 이더넷이 비동기식으로 전송됨으로 인해, 동일한 전송속도를 가진 장비라 할지라도 링크가 제공하는 명목상의 최대속도로 전송될 경우, 상호 접속한 장비간의 전송클럭 차이로 인해 프레임의 손실이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 PHY에서 복원된 수신 클럭과 송신 클럭의 차이를 비교하고 동시에 프레임버퍼에 쌓인 큐를 참조하여 프레임 손실이 방생할 수 있는 임계치를 넘어설 경우, 전송프레임의 프리엠블 길이를 조정함으로써 이더넷 장비에서 전송클럭의 차이로 인한 프레임손실을 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다.

A Intra-media Synchronization Scheme using Media Scaling (서비스 품질 저하 기능의 미디어내 동기화 방안)

  • When continuous media are transmitted over the communication networks, asynchrony which can not maintain temporal relationships among packets my occur due to a random transit delay. There exist two types of synchronization schemes ; for guaranteed or non-guaranteed resource networks. The former which applies a resource reservation technique maintains delay characteristics however, the latter supply a best-effort service. In this paper, I propose a intra-media synchronization scheme to transmit continuous media on general networks not guaranteeing a bounded delay time. The scheme controls transmission times of the packets by estimating next delay time with the delay distribution So, the arriving packets my be maintained within a limited delay boundary, and playout will be performed after buffering to smoothen small delay variations. To prevent network congestion and maintain minimum quality of service the transmitter performs media scaling-down by dropping the current packet when informed excessive delay from the receiver.

  • In asynchronous communication data of specific area are used as all kinds of control characters. Therefore, data of this area must be converted to other character and transmitted followed by control prefix to prevent the misconception as control characters. This paper presents several methods for character conversion that prevent the lengthening of data and enhance the overall efficiency of communication by transmitting with a certain conversion and without control prefixes on control-like characters occurring when data are transmitted with ciphering onto asynchronous communication path. For such conversion, the scope of transmitted data was sup-posed and efforts were made not to exceed that scope. Experiments showed that method is better in communication speed than the existing ones and the ciphering has no problem by confirming the randomness of ciphered data.

  • 본 논문에서는 비동기 프로토콜 상으로 데이터를 암호화하여 전송할 때 발생하는 모의 제어문자에 대해 제어접두문자를 추가하지 않고 일정한 변환만 하여 송신하므로써 데이터의 길어짐을 방지하고 전체 통신 속도를 높이는 문자 변환 방법을 제시하였다. 이러한 변환을 위해 전송 데이터의 유효 범위를 가정하고 이 범위를 벗어나지 않도록 하였으며 실험을 통하여 이 방법이 기존의 방법에 비해 통신속도가 향상됨을 보이고 암호화된 데이터의 임의성을 확인하므로써 암호화에 문제가 없음을 보였다.

  • In this paper, we consider the following two issues for implementing the synchronous Ethernet systems. First, a synchronous Ethernet system employs a fixed size superframe which is divided into a synchronous period and an asynchronous one. We note that the starting point of a superframe is not deterministic when an ordinary data frame's transmission is overlapped the superframe boundary. This overlap may be a fatal drawback for strict jitter bounded applications. Circumventing the problem, we propose a frame fragmentation scheme to provide a zero jitter, and compare its delay performance with the hold scheme which also provides the zero jitter. We next concern that IEEE 802.3x pause frames cannot be promptly transmitted in a synchronous period, and thus asynchronous traffics may be dramatically get dropped at the input buffer of a switch. To handle the problem, we propose an efficient flow control by allowing the transmission of the pause frame in a synchronous period, and investigate the blocking probability of the asynchronous traffics by the simulation.

  • Method for synchronizing multimedia data is needed to support continuous transmission of multimedia data through a network in a bounded time and it also required for supporting continuous presentation of multimedia data with the required norminal playout rate in distributed network environments. This paper describes a new synchronization method for supporting delay-sensitive multimedia Presentation without degration of Quality of services of multimedia application. It mainly aims to support both intermedia and intermedia synchronization by absorbing network variations which may cause skew or jitter. In order to remove asynchonization problems, we make use of logical time system, dynamic buffer control method, and adjusting synchronization intervals based on the quality of services of a multimedia. It might be more suitable for working on distribute[1 multimedia systems where the network delay variation is changed from time to time and no global clock is supported. And it also can effectively reduce the amount of buffer requirements needed for transfering multimedia data between source and destination system by adjusting synchronization intervals with acceptable packet delay limits and packet loss rates.

  • IEEE1394 standard supports both isochronous and asynchronous data transmission, thus enabling high-speed data exchange between PC and networked home electronic devices. This paper describes an implementation of Test Bed for Linux based IEEE1394 communication test. In this paper, An integrated Software was developed to test IEEE1394 communication environment. To develop the software, open source software(gscanbus,dvgrab, playdv, Xine, Kino) for the Linux environment was investigated and integrated. It was tested such as the communication among the devices, asynchronous date transmission, isochronous data transmission, and its result was successful. This integrated software has the potential to become efficient test tool for the futher development of networked home electronic devices and multimedia services.

  • While MOST is an in-vehicle network which transfers concurrently synchronous data, asynchronous data and control data, it provides high bandwidth synchronous section which can transfer video and audio without buffering. To transfer real time data using synchronous section, connections between source node and sink node, and channel allocation for connections are required. In this paper, we proposed synchronous data transfer method and channel allocation method by constructing MOST network after designing and implementing channel allocation module for using synchronous data section.
