  • The technologies relevant to e-business have rapidly developed during very short period of time and recently it is expanding to the area of B2B. Keeping pace with this development in e-business, the information of comparison or analysis on commodities of a lot of sites is also required. Though the information on price comparison among internal shopping malls are now being offered, its not efficient for its renewing intervals are long and, due to some indiscreet collection of information for the purpose of fast renewal, much loads are being generated on the pertinent shopping malls. In this article, the retrieval engine on demand is designed and realized using a dynamci robot agent changing kinetically on the status of the pertinent shopping malls that can offer the customized service and presents the shopping malls with the lowest price for each commodity under e-business after the shortest time of collection and analysis while not giving loads to the pertinent shopping malls.

  • This study sought to verify the shopping values that tourists pursue by purchasing at travel destinations based on tourists' motivation and identify the effects of these values on the types of fashion items preferred by tourists. Furthermore, this study verified the tourist shopping behavior of three Asian countries-Korea, China, and Japan-from a cross-cultural perspective. To obtain a sample that represents tourist shoppers in each country, a survey was conducted on adult men and women in their 20s to 60s, and 986 subjects were collected: 300 Koreans, 385 Chinese, and 301 Japanese. Factor analysis, structural equation modeling, and multigroup SEM were performed on the collected data using SPSS Statistics and AMOS. Based on escaping-seeking theory, tourist intentions were divided into escaping and seeking motivations, and tourist shopping values were divided into functional, emotional, and social. The shopping items were divided into materials and experiential goods to understand the difference between the types preferred by tourists according to the perceived value. In addition, differences in tourist shopping behaviors according to the three nationalities were identified. The findings illustrate that the escaping motive affects emotional and social values, whereas the seeking motive affects all three. Moreover, it was confirmed that functional and emotional values affect preference for material and experiential goods, but social value only affects preference for material goods. For the cross-cultural study, differences in tourist shopping behavior according to nationality were identified.

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate factors affecting addictive shopping behavior and to compare the factors affecting between on-line and off-line addictive shopping. Four hundred eighty-nine female college students who have purchased fashion goods on-line shopping or off-line shopping were surveyed. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations, t-test, and multiple regression analysis were used. As the results, 15.5% of respondents were revealed as addictive buyers. Approximately 18% and 13% of subjects were revealed as on-line addictive buyers and off-line addictive buyers. There were statistically significant differences between addictive buyers and non-addictive buyers regarding self-mastery, depression, stress, and impulse. Addictive consumption scores were correlated to lower self-mastery, higher depression, and higher stress. Factors such as self-mastery, stress, impulse showed differences between on-line and off-line addictive buyers. Also, there were statistically significant differences between on-line and off-line addictive buyers. Based on these results, fashion social responsibility marketing strategies and implications regarding on-line and off-line shopping addiction would be suggested.

  • Home Shopping companies haven't have any possible means of product quality control process in spite of the fact that they are selling average 16,000 different kinds of product every month. Under this condition, increases of return and product liability can have a strong negative influence on customers' trust in a home shopping brand and intentional repurchase through the same home shopping channel. To solve the problems, we applied adjusted selection and assessment system of manufacturers in home shopping industry, and the consequence of system effect was verified that there is a decrease of 10.3% in the number of returns and a decrease of 11.7% in the number of product liability.

  • In a buyer seller transaction process, "value for money" is one of the most important criteria for a buyer's purchasing decision. The terms "value" and "money" represent a composite measure of what a buyer receives from goods and/or services and a measure of what he/she pays for them, respectively. The purpose of this paper is to help buyers select the best seller in terms of value for money. We suggest DEA models for buyer seller transactions and apply them to the case of an Internet comparison shopping site in Korea. We expect our DEA models to provide valuable information for rational buyers who want to pay the least price for high quality products/services. Moreover, we expect that our models can help sellers be more competitive by showing them how to attract buyers.
