This study aims to identify and categorize the content and public use patterns of social scientists' informal communication activities. Using Twitter data, we identified Korean 736 social scientists who participated in communication activities with the public, and analyzed 4,548 tweets that revealed their informal communication activities. This study is meaningful in that it explored informal communication between social scientists and the public, which was not previously revealed in scholarly communication, and identified the types of informal communication activities, communication media, and collaborative sectors in detail.

This study is to comparate on impact factors and moderator of incentives of knowledge transfer between Nonprofit and Profit organization. In nonprofit organization, the results founded that individual information capability, quality of knowledge, and quality of construct were statistically significant in knowledge acquisition, informal communication and quality of construct were statistically significant knowledge sharing, and individual information capability, informal communication, quality of knowledge and quality of construct were statistically significant knowledge use. Also interactive effect of knowledge sharing and Psychological Physical incentive was statistically significant knowledge use. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of organizational communication satisfaction of teacher librarians on the informational and educational service and to draw implications for improvement of the school libraries' educational role. According to the results of the analysis, teacher librarians have preferred informal communication by conversation and face-to-face talk with superiors or co-workers and horizontal communication during their performance. Characteristics of teacher librarians, such as career, gender and school levels, have influential effect on user education, libraryassisted instruction, reading and information literacy instruction. The more teacher librarians felt satisfaction of the informal communication, the more textbook-related reference lists are offered. Horizontal communication have a positive influence on information literacy instruction. However, teacher librarians should utilize cooperative statements, committees and councils and actively participate in those horizontal communication methods to share the vision and aims of school libraries with the larger school community. Teacher librarians also should put more efforts into developing their leadership role and marketing strategies in order to overcome the weaknesses of informal communication.

This research is on the relationship among organizational communication and organizational citizenship behavior focused on the moderating effect of transformational leadership. The objective of this research is to conduct positive verification of organizational communication impacting on organizational citizenship behavior. Also, to perform positive verification on moderating effect of transformational leadership. The variables are downward communication, upward communication, unofficial communication, organizational citizenship behavior including participatory actions, altruistic behavior, mindful behaviors, and transformational leadership. It was verified on survey of 232 peoples. The verification and analysis results will be provided to impact of organizational communication on organizational citizenship behavior, the downward communication impacts all elements of citizens' behaviors, and upward communication impacts of participatory actions. On the other hand, the unofficial communication did not impact at all. Moreover the results of moderating effect of transformational leadership. The transformational leadership act as moderator in downward, upward communications. but did not act as a moderator on the unofficial communication. The research suggests to use transformational leaderships to commanders and leaderships at military organizations to put efforts on active communication in order to manage unit more effectively and efficiently and to make members of organization to voluntarily. It is assessed that this paper will serve as a reference to whoever in military reform group or organization working for military developments working for creating elite forces.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of perceived self-efficacy in the effects of informal communication and mindfulness practice on non-class-related behavior in the Team-Based Learning(TBL) using smartwork tool. To do this, total of 80, college students participated in this survey. The results of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, informal communication do not have a direct effect on non-class-related behavior but perceived self-efficacy mediates the effect of informal communication. Second, mindfulness practice do not have a direct effect on non-class-related behavior but perceived self-efficacy mediates the effect of mindfulness practice. Third, informal communication and mindfulness practice have positive effect on perceived self-efficacy. In this study, we suggested the importance of perceived self-efficacy in establishing the TBL policy using smartwork tool.

This research is to investigate the impact of informal communication of smart-phone user while at work on performance. To do this, we proposed the research model including informal offline communication represented by tea time and informal online communication typified by Kakao talk derived from water-cooler effect. The results of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, Kakao talk with insiders has a positive effect on performance only in male group, and Kakao talk with outsiders has a negative effect on performance in both male and female group. Secondly, tea time has a positive effect on performance in group with high task interdependence, whereas Kakao talk with insiders has a positive effect on performance in group with low task interdependence. The findings have significant implications for policy development to regulate the wise smart-phone use in organization.

Collaboration between teacher librarians and parents is one of the very important elements for school library management in characteristics of learning communities and expanding its' administration. These partnerships are necessary to relieve stress and risk conditions and improve ego-resilience of students. This study analyzed cases of student guidance within the partnerships between teacher librarians and parents and then inquired into formal or informal communication channels for their partnerships through written interview with 10 teacher librarians. The results of analyses teacher librarians have appreciated the necessity of collaboration with parents, and they have experienced student guidance, career guidance, reader's advisory and balancing acts between classroom teachers and parents. It turns out that reading programs with parents are formal communication channel rather than institutional committee such as School Library Council and Parents' Library-Assisting Volunteers and Parent Association and Training in the school library are informal communication channels. The teacher librarians also provide periodic reading events and training for parents and they utilize the School Homepage and Educational Newsletters as the main ways of public relation. In order to promote students' ego-resilience through their collaboration, parents should involve in School Library Council as an essential way for formal communication. And parents' role in school library management should be expanded from offering helping hands to activities to read book, library instruction, assisting teacher librarians in the Library-Assisted Instruction and production of teaching mediums.
