Induction Voltage Adder for High Power Pulse Generator (유도전압합성기를 이용한 고전압 펄스발생기 설계)

  • In this paper, we have proposed high power generator with Induction Voltage Adder of three cells. IVA which has n cells can generate n-th times high power pulse, is a more stable system than Marx generator in the view of breakdown. We applied amorphous metal magnetic cores as an energy storing material for IVA rather than ferrite cores because of their higher magnetic flux swing to make it more compact system and the loss of it was also considered in the design. For driving the IVA, we design Blumlein pulse generators which are filled with pure water for high dielectric constant and high breakdown field strength, and triggered by single Marx generator. We have presented the PSPICE simulation and its test result.

BDM Rolling of Middle Sized H-beams from a Bloom (블룸을 이용한 중형 H 형강 BDM 압연 공정 연구)

  • H-beams are generally produced by hot rolling composed of a Break Down Mill (BDM) and a Finishing Mill (FM). The goal of the current study was to develop BDM rolling of H300x300 beams from blooms slit from slabs. In order to manufacture H300x300 beams, the caliber design and the pass schedule of BDM rolling were proposed for a bloom instead of a beam blank. The proposed BDM caliber design and pass schedule were tested using FE-simulation and pilot tests. For the major shape dimensions, such as flange width, web height, web thickness, as well as BDM rolling loads, a comparative analysis between the FE-simulation and the pilot rolling tests was conducted. The results of FEM analysis and pilot rolling tests showed good consistency. Moreover, BDM rolling loads were predicted to be in the range of allowable rolling loads. It was concluded that the designed BDM rolling is suitable for implementation within current manufacturing capacity.

Techniques to improve DRAM Energy Efficiency through Selective Refresh (선택적 리프레시를 통한 DRAM 에너지 효율 향상 기법)

  • DRAM is a major component of the main memory system. As the operating system evolves and application complexity and capacity increases, the capacity and speed of DRAM are also increasing. DRAM should perform a refresh action of periodically reading and then re-storing stored values, and the accompanying performance and power/energy overhead embodies characteristics that worsen as capacity increases. This study proposes an energy efficiency improvement technique that efficiently stores the rows that need to be refreshed within 64ms and 128ms using the bloom filter for cells with the lowest retention time of electrons. The results of the experiment showed that the proposed technique resulted in an average 5.5% performance improvement, 76.4% reduction in average refresh energy, and 10.3% reduction in average EDP.

  • 본 논문에서는 데이터 스트림 대상의 필터링 문제를 다룬다. 데이터 스트림은 지속적으로 생성되며, 크기 또한 거대해서 이를 실시간 처리하기 위해서는 분석에 불필요한 데이터를 충분히 필터링해야 한다. 하지만, 기존 필터링 알고리즘은 하나의 데이터 형식에만 사용이 가능하여 다양하고 복잡한 스트림 환경에서는 사용하기가 어렵다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 이 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 스트림 형식에 따라 필터링 알고리즘을 다양하게 선택할 수 있는 필터링 시스템을 제안한다. 그리고 실시간 필터링을 위해 대표적인 오픈소스 DSMS(data stream management system)인 에스퍼 기반으로 구현한다. 또한 웹 기반 클라이언트-서버 모델로 확장 구현하여 사용자가 언제 어디에서든 필터링 시스템을 사용할 수 있게 한다. 제안하는 에스퍼 기반 실시간 필터링 시스템은 데이터 스트림으로 실시간 데이터 스트림과 벌크 데이터 스트림을 지원한다. 그리고 필터링 알고리즘으로 질의 필터링, 블룸 필터링, 베이지안 필터링을 제공한다. 제안하는 필터링 시스템 구현 결과, 데이터 스트림 특성에 적합한 필터링 알고리즘을 선택적으로 제공함으로써, 사용자가 보다 정확하고 효율적으로 의미있는 데이터를 추출 가능하게 하였다.

Generation of a High Voltage Pulse of 50 ns Pulse Duration using a Helical Blumlein Pulse Forming Line (나선형 블룸라인 PFL을 이용한 50 ns 펄스폭의 고전압 펄스 발생)

  • A high voltage pulse generator based on the Blumlein pulse forming line (PFL) was fabricated to produce a voltage pulse whose peak value is ~300 kV and pulse duration is ~50 ns. Three cylindrical electrodes, such as inner, middle, and outer electrodes, are concentrically placed to make a compact PFL. To increase the pulse duration of the output pulse without any change of the size of the generator, the middle electrode is replaced by a helical strip electrode. To determine the radius of the helical electrode, the impedance of the helical Blumlein PFL is calculated using an approximate formula where the dispersive property of the helical Blumlein PFL is not considered. The dependence of the impedance on the frequency is computed by a commercial program. The number of turns in the helical electrode is decided to provide a demanded pulse duration. The experimental result shows that the helical Blumlein PFL is capable of making a high voltage pulse of ~50 ns pulse duration.

  • MANET has a highly dynamic topology because it consists of only mobile nodes. Various attacks using these characteristics exist. Among them, damage of the attacks based flooding such as DoS or DDos is large and traceback of the attack node is not easy. It is because route information by moving of intermediate nodes which pass the data changes frequently. In this paper, we propose table-based traceback technique to perform efficient traceback although route information by moving of nodes changes frequently. Cluster head manages route management table in order to form cluster status table and network topology snapshot for storing the location information of mobile nodes when cluster member nodes change. Also, bloom filter is used to reduce the amount of storing route information. The performance of the proposed technique is confirmed through experiment.

  • Architecture is a product of numerous influences, as shown in the apprenticeships of Kim, Jung-Up and Kim, Swoo-Geun with Le Corbusier's influences. Therefore, its identity is need to be re-defined based on such complex relationships. The rhetorical images of 'the Map of Misreading', as the core of the poetic identification proposed by Harold Bloom's 'the Theory of Influence', provide an efficient way of explaining the relations between architectural apprenticeships and identities. This research is to re-build a new methodology of architectural criticism based on it. The diachronic transformations of the architecture of Seung, Hyo-Sang also had very characteristic 'revisionary ratios' about his precursor Kim, Swoo-Geun. As an antithetic stance of his precursor's final phase, his early days works pursued continuously geometric abstraction and objective images of the architecture of Adolf Loos. However, his recent works are showing the obvious symptoms of regression to his origins. Finally, the architectural identity should be re-conceptualized as a complexity, based on inter-textuality from complex influences. This new architectural identity can be reflected into the modern obsessive identity.

  • VANET(Vehicular Ad-hoc Network) is a kind of ad hoc networks which is consist of intelligence vehicular ad nodes, and has become a hot emerging research project in many fields. It provides traffic safety, cooperative driving and etc. but has also some security problems that can be occurred in general ad hoc networks. In VANET, it has been studies that group signature method for user privacy. However, among a group of group key generation phase and group key update phase, RSU(Road-Side Unit) and the computational overhead of the vehicle occur. In this paper, we propose an efficient group key management techniques with CBF(Counting Bloom Filter). Our group key management method is reduced to the computational overhead of RSU and vehicles at the group key generation and renewal stage. In addition, our method is a technique to update group key itself.

Impact toughness improvement of an undercarriage track shoe using the Taguchi orthogonal array experiment (다구찌 직교배열 실험을 이용한 무한궤도용 트랙 슈의 충격인성 향상 연구)

  • This study examined the toughness improvement of a track shoe used as the undercarriage of excavator and bulldozer parts. The excavator is operated under poor conditions, such as the build-up field and quarry. Therefore, the track shoe requires high strength and impact toughness to endure immense shock while at work. The track shoe was made of heat treated boron steel. The sufficient possibility of hardenability with the theoretical Jominy curve for boron steel was confirmed while quenching. The Taguchi orthogonal array experiment method was used to optimize the process variables, such as area reduction ratio and heat treatment conditions (tempering temperature and holding time), to achieve toughness improvement. The toughness of the track shoe increased with increasing area reduction, and a tempering temperature of $210^{\circ}C$ and a tempering time of 80 min are beneficial for improving the toughness of the track shoe.

A Countermeasure Scheme Based on Whitelist using Bloom Filter against SIP DDoS Attacks (블룸필터를 사용한 화이트리스트 기반의 SIP 서버스 거부 공격 대응 기법)

  • SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) has some security vulnerability because it works on the Internet. Therefore, the proxy server can be affected by the flooding attack such as DoS and service interruption. However, traditional schemes to corresponding Denial of Service attacks have some limitation. These schemes have high complexity and cannot protect to the variety of Denial of Service attack. In this paper, we newly define the normal user who makes a normal session observed by verifier module. Our method provides continuous service to the normal users in the various situations of Denial of Service attack as constructing a whitelist using normal user information. Various types of attack/normal traffic are modeled by using OPNET simulator to verify our scheme. The simulation results show that our proposed scheme can prevent DoS attack and achieve a low false rate and fast searching time.
