  • Depending on point of view, a service can be defined as interactions between customers and service providers or service delivery processes or customer's experiences. To develop and design a new service, the most of approaches presented in the previous researches represent a service mainly by the interactive activities or functions between customers and providers. The critical features of services which differentiate services from physical products are the inseparability that production and consumption occur at the same time and the heterogeneity that each customer ask their requirements to providers. To reflect the characteristics on the service model, we have to include contextual features in the service model. For the purpose, we define a service as the process of solving the customer's problems and a service is structured into three components: contacts, informations, and activities. We suggest the job mapping diagram to model a service process by the three components and then apply it to a hotel service process and compare the result with it of a blueprint.

  • Recently most of A/V devices are being adopted hi-tech of A VRCP and changed to mobile environment. AVRCP is designed to provide a standard interface to control A/V devices, hi-fi equipment, or others to allow a single remote control or other device to control all the A/V equipment to which a user has access. It may be used in concert with A2DP or VDP. The AVRCP defines two roles, that of a controller and target device. In AVRCP, the controller translates the detected user action to the A/V control signal, and then transmits it to a remote Bluetooth enabled device. It can be small and mixed mobile devices using bluetooth technologies. The functions available for a conventional infrared remote controller can be realized in this protocol. The remote control described in this protocol is designed specifically for A/V control only. We designed new DSP using Adaptive Acoustic Echo Canceller for bluetooth hands free based this AVRCP standard specifications.

  • Chromakey method is one of key technologies for realizing virtual studio, and the blue portions of a captured image in virtual studio, are replaced with a computer generated or real image. The replaced image must be changed according to the camera parameter of studio for natural merging with the non-blue portions of a captured image. This paper proposes a novel method to extract camera parameters using the recognition of pentagonal patterns that are painted on a blue screen. We extract corresponding points between a blue screen. We extract corresponding points between a blue screen and a captured image using the projective invariant features of a pentagon. Then, calculate camera parameters using corresponding points by the modification of Tsai's method. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method is more accurate compared to conventional method and can process about twelve frames of video per a second in Pentium-MMX processor with CPU clock of 166MHz.

  • The urban streets as a featured and well performing public space for people should be organized in a way that can work as a whole system through network as well as that can provide amenities fur pedestrian. This is a study on Seattle's 'Blue Ring' project for an analysis focused on how its street weaving system organized and what are the design characteristics of the streets. The results are as followings. (1)Pedestrian oriented design, (2)Urban street as a part of open space that can accommodate human activities, (3)Integrated, not isolated with outer/ other open space, (4)Organically networked in a hierarchical manner that can promote pedestrian movement, (5)Utilization of regionally identical design elements. And Smart Growth concept lies in the core of 'Blue Ring' project.

  • In this paper we develop a novel human action recognition system based on communication between an ear-mounted Bluetooth camera and an action recognition server to aid scene recognition for the blind. First, if the blind capture an image of a specific location using the ear-mounted camera, the captured image is transmitted to the recognition server using a smartphone that is synchronized with the camera. The recognition server sequentially performs human detection, object detection and action recognition by analyzing human poses. The recognized action information is retransmitted to the smartphone and the user can hear the action information through the text-to-speech (TTS). Experimental results using the proposed system showed a 60.7% action recognition performance on the test data captured in indoor and outdoor environments.

  • The objectives of this study was to evaluate the validity of 3D digital models made from blue LED dental scanner. Twenty same cases of stone models and 3d digital models were manufactured for this study. Intercanine distance, intermolar distance, two dental arch lengths(right, left) and two diagonal of dental arch lengths(right, left) were measured for evaluation of validity. The nonparametric Wilcoxon rank sum test was used for statistical analysis (${\alpha}$=0.05). Although stone models showed larger than digital models in all measured distances(p<0.05), none exceeded the clinically acceptable range.

  • Leather waste discharged from Shinpyung Changrim Industrial Complex contained 46.3 percent of carbon, and weight loss of leather waste about 50 percent was observed at $500^{\circ}C$ by thermogravimetric analysis. Chemically activated carbon [LW4AC] was made at activation temperature of $800^{\circ}C$ during 30 minutes in electric furnace. Iodine value and decoloration of methylene blue was 968 mg/g and 158 mL/g, respectively. We found that pore volume was more developed according to the increase in the ratio of $K_2CO_3/LW$.

  • As APT attacks become more frequent and sophisticated, not only the advancement of the security systems but also the competence of the cybersecurity officers of each institution that operates them is becoming increasingly important. In a large-scale cyber defence exercise with many blue teams participating and many systems to simulate and defend against, it should be possible to simulate attacks to generate various attack patterns, network payloads, and system events. However, if one RT framework is used, there is a limitation that it can be easily detected by the blue team. In the case of operating multiple RT frameworks, a lot of time and effort by experts for exercise setup and operation for each framework is required. In this paper, we propose iRF(integrated RT framework) that can automatically operate large-scale cyber defence exercise by integrating a number of open RT frameworks and RT frameworks created by ourselves.

  • In the present work, we studied a method for the synthesis of uniform gold-peptide hierarchical superstructures using tyrosine rich peptide, Tyr-Tyr-Leu-Tyr-Tyr (YYLYY). Peptide nanoparticles self-assembled by dityrosine bonds were synthesized through the photo-crosslinking reaction of the peptide, and gold-peptide hybrid nanoparticles were synthesized using biomineralization properties of tyrosine in a green synthetic manner. The synthesized gold-peptide hybrid nanoparticles were then characterized by transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering, UV-vis spectroscopy, scanning transmission electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. Furthermore, the catalytic activity of gold-peptide hybrid nanoparticles was confirmed by the reduction reaction of methylene blue where the catalytic reaction rate constant was 13.4 × 10-3 s-1.

  • Ecosystem services are contributing to human welfare by enabling us to maintain our survival and quality of life. A metod of quantifying ecological functions is needed. We discussed the introduction and applications of ecosystem services to applied ecological engineering. The concept and assessment system of ecosystem services were applied to the economic valuation of river, the construction of blue-green-white network in urban area, ecological restoration, and integrated water management in Korea. The conceptual framework and assessment of ecosystem services can be used to promote value of ecological protection and restoration, helping stakeholders understand the benefits of ecosystems and increasing applications of the applied ecological engineering.
