  • 로저 디킨스는 최고의 촬영감독으로 인정받고 있다. <바톤 핑크>이후 코언 감독과 다수의 작품을 함께 만들었으며, 최근에는 드니 빌뇌브 감독과 세 작품을 연달아 작업하였다. 아카데미 촬영상에 13번 노미네이트되다가 2018년 <블레이드러너2049>로 촬영상을 수상하였다. 그는 와이드 앵글과 프랙티컬 라이트를 사용하며, 새로운 이미지를 만들어내기 위해 렌즈와 조명기를 만들어 사용하기도 한다. 본고에서는 그의 스타일이 가장 잘 드러난 영화로 평가받는 <비겁한 로버트 포드의 제시 제임스 암살>(앤드류 도미닉. 2007)과 코언 감독과 작업한 <노인을 위한 나라는 없다>(2007), 드니빌뵈브 감독과 작업한 <블레이드러너 2049>을 중심으로 그의 촬영스타일을 분석해 보고자 한다.

소수력발전용 횡류수차의 러너 블레이드 깃수에 따른 성능해석 (Performance Analysis of a Cross Flow Hydro Turbine by Runner Blade Number)

  • Performance improvement of Small hydro turbine is a very important subject to solve in the stage of introduction and development of the turbine. Cross-flow hydro turbine should be also studied more in detail for the turbine performance in order to extend the sites of application. In order to improve the turbine performance, the effect of the turbine shape on the turbine performance should be examined. Therefore, the effect of runner blade number on the turbine performance is investigated by use of a commercial CFD code. The results show that runner blade number gives remarkable effect on the efficiency and output power of the turbine. Pressure on the surface of the runner blade changes considerably by the blade number at Stage 1, but relatively small change of velocity distribution occurs in the flow passage.

프란시스수차 러너 블레이드 출구면적이 성능에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effect of Port Area of Blade on the Performance of Francis Hydro Turbine)

  • As a key component of a Francis turbine facility, the runner performance plays a vital role in the performance of the turbine. It is effective and successful to design a Francis turbine runner blade with good performance by one dimensional hydraulic design method. On the basis of one dimensional hydraulic analysis, there are a lot of parameters of the internal flow passage shapes determined by experience. Among those parameters, the effect of port area of blade on the performance of a Francis turbine is investigated in this study. A given Francis turbine model was selected for investigating the port area of blade on the performance. The result shows that the effect of port area of runner blade on the outflow angle from runner passage on the performance is quite significant. A correct exit flow angle reduces the energy loss at draft tube, which has the best efficiency of the turbine model.

NSGA-II를 이용한 마이크로 프로펠러 수차 블레이드 최적화 (Optimization of Micro Hydro Propeller Turbine blade using NSGA-II)

  • In addition to the development of micro hydro turbine, the challenge in micro hydro turbine design as sustainable hydro devices is focused on the optimization of turbine runner blade which have decisive effect on the turbine performance to reach higher efficiency. A multi-objective optimization method to optimize the performance of runner blade of propeller turbine for micro turbine has been studied. For the initial design of planar blade cascade, singularity distribution method and the combination of the Bezier curve parametric technology is used. A non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II(NSGA II) is developed based on the multi-objective optimization design method. The comparision with model test show that the blade charachteristics is optimized by NSGA-II has a good efficiency and load distribution. From model test and scale up calculation, the maximum prototype efficiency of the runner blade reaches as high as 90.87%.

시뮬라크럼에 의한 블레이드 러너의 포스트 모더니즘 특성분석 (Analysis of Postmodern Characteristics of Blade Runner based on Simulacrum)

  • This study set out to figure out the tendencies of the staff members participating in the space design of Blade Runner and compare and analyze its set and location characteristics with its narrative based on Gilles Deleuze' Simulacrum, one of the basic theories of Post modernism, thus identifying the characteristics of postmodern space inherent in it. The findings were as follows: first, the spaces in a Late modernism tendency in Blade Runner seem to have been created by the cinematic imagination of Syd Mead and Douglas Trumbull rather than being influenced by the old Late modernism architecture. Second, the postmodern spaces of the movie were designed to depict a more realistic future by reinforcing the old ornamental elements or adding the mechanical aesthetics of Late modernism based on a prediction of future cities. Third, the characters representing Late modernism and Post modernism in the narrative of the movie embrace the tendencies of the parties objected by Model and Simulacrum in the scenes where they deny the tendencies of the spaces to which they belong, thus exhibiting a dual trend. Fourth, the dual narrative of Model and Simulacrum holds duality even in the space and architecture of the movie, which is the reason why the movie chose postmodern spaces reflecting historical contexts instead of inner spaces in the tendency of minimalism, which was in vogue when SF movies were made those days. Finally, the spaces of the movie can be categorized according to the Late modernism and Post modernism tendencies from the perspective of the 1980s and be understood to show the architecture and space of future Post modernism feasible through the layering of historicity, locality, and mechanical aesthetics from ancient Maya to a future city in Los Angeles, the background of the movie, from the perspective of 2019.

러너와 가이드 베인의 연동을 통한 마이크로 카프란 수차의 출력 최적화 (Output Optimization of Microhydro Kaplan Turbine by Double Regulating Runner and Guide Vane)

  • Recently so much attention has been focused on renewable energy and, since its sources to exploit are already almost saturated in the country, the practical alternative to this situation could be a micro-turbine which uses the low head and low flow. From a point of view of local micro-turbine design capacity and manufacturing technology, the problems such as the accumulation of technical skills, the expansion of related industries, the national policy expansion and the turbine efficiency to improve are still vulnerable and it's true that there are also negative views about the economic feasibility, the technicity and the operation management of the micro-turbine. However, if the improvement can be done in technology of low-head double regulation micro-turbine to generate more outputs and the operation management can be reliably realized, the micro-turbine will be re-evaluated as an appliable source of renewable energy, even the output is small, and by a paradigm shift, it could realize a power generation as an economic and rational system.
