Generally, brand is the title for discriminating their own goods and service from other competitive company, brand-image means customer's good and bad affection or loyalty the brand of specific company. Customers often choose the goods according to the value of goods brand. In terms of this viewpoint, the value of company's brand is very important factor to the company's success. Brand-image also effects customers on selling company's goods. Specially, to the hotel business that should ensure lots of customer for a long period with the interest and credit of customers, its brand-image is more significant. What the image is looked upon as a important factor in marketing is due to the difficulty of discrimination against goods standardized in price and quality. Therefore, the company's image acts as a more important marketing factor in the high industrial society. Also it means a lot to the customer's purchasing behavior. When the company's brand-image is recognized or discriminated, customer's memory is longer and customer's reliability is raised than other company's advertisement and public information. Nowadays, most of hotels are perceiving the importance on their own brand-image but in the lack of deep study and systematic strategy in reality. The purpose of this study is to research the effect on customer's purchasing intention of hotel brand-image and choice-attribution. The empirical research has been done from 23April, 2004 to 20May, 2004. Data were collected from general customers who are using hotel located in Taegu. In conclusion, hotel brand-image depends highly on, the service quality of hotel staff and reputation of hotel. Besides, this acts on customer's hotel choice decisively.
Today, consumers are interested in branded apps as new marketing channels. Consumers do not have ready access to information that will enable them to judge the quality of a particular product or service before purchase, but they will gain such information with branded apps. As they need to be actively chosen and downloaded to users' smartphone by the users themselves, branded apps have greater marketing effectiveness and influence than traditional channels. Therefore, corporations that place emphasis on interactions with customers anticipate a new marketing effect with their branded apps. With previous research on smartphone applications as a background, this research finds key factors in branded apps that influence users' satisfaction. Additionally, the study centers on the relationship in which satisfaction in the branded app significantly influences the purchase intention for the branded product/service.

Recently, due to a decline in traditional industrial function and recession of the real estate business, urban coastal settlement areas have been promoted in a regeneration way using historical cultural values rather than overall development approach. This study investigated the regional assets of water-front area around Yeongdodaegyo Bridge in Yeongdo-gu, Busan and classified them into physical social economic assets and then, presented the integrated regeneration approach that can increase the place value of this area. First, physical regeneration proposed a regional revitalization plan by considering place and cultural characteristics and second, social regeneration by considering the regional brand through storytelling and third, economic regeneration by considering historical cultural characteristics. Regional assets-based culture experience can be provided by building cultural tourism infrastructure through this and local economy and local community activation can be expected by providing urban vitality base of coastal settlement areas.
Consumers demand that corporates fulfill their social responsibility by exerting influence over not only economical values but also social values in markets. Given such a social mood, most corporates are actively engaging in Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) activities, and marketing scholars continue to study the effects of such CSR activities. Numerous such studies examined the relationship between CSR activity and brand equity. Moreover, virtually, a majority of these studies focused on consumer responses to CSR activity from an individual brand perspective. In a situation in which brand management must consider the spillover effects of brands, firms holding various brands should consider these spillover effects when they establish CSR activity strategies. Therefore, we examine the effects of CSR activity using a comprehensive approach that considers the hierarchy of brands. Additionally, we develop a new perspective on fit that has been used as a major influence on the effects of CSR activity. We argue that the mixed results of the impact of fit regarding the effect of CSR activities is attributed to the influence of connections among brands based on the hierarchy of brands. We then examine the effect of two types of CSR activity strategies that reflect the relativity of fit. The results reveal that there was no difference in impact of the two strategies based on unique roles and traits of corporate brand and effects of low fit. Also, we found that the corporate brand focused strategy creates a greater change in consumers' attitudes than does an individual brand focused strategy in the case of a particular brand. This finding is meaningful because it indicates that a hierarchy of brands may relatively reduce the impact of the role of fit, unlike general arguments from previous related research. Second, the spillover effects from the CSR activities of individual sub-brands belonging to the same corporate brand were confirmed. Therefore, we clearly verified the role of the hierarchy of brands. Although both strategies cause changes in consumer attitude toward brands engaged in CSR activity, overall, a corporate brand focused strategy turned out to be more effective than an individual brand focused strategy because of the spillover effects of brands. Third, this study verified the effect of a corporate brand focused strategy through a moderating effect analysis of the degree of association between individual brands and corporate brand. Given these results, we identified a moderating role in the degree of association and the changes in consumer attitudes toward both main brands engaged in CSR activities and other different individual brands, which were caused by the spillover effects of brands. Finally, this study addresses implications and limitations.

It will provide the constructive suggestions to build Korea brand equity in overseas market through empirical research. And then, we set up the research model, hypotheses and variables. The chosen variables to investigate are price premium, price deals, store image, distribution intensity, advertising, Hallyu, perceived quality, brand loyalty, brand awareness/associations, and brand equity. The results of the study reveal that Hallyu and advertising had a positive influence on perceived quality, brand loyalty and brand awareness/associations, but the other marketing elements had partial influence. All of perceived quality, brand loyalty and brand awareness/associations showed positive effects on brand equity. Additionally, theoretical and managerial implications of brand equity and Hallyu based on the results of this study are discussed. And limitations and future research issues are also presented.
Brand equity has been treated conspicuously since the late 1980s. This study intended to construct the brand switching matrix in the Korean casual wear market and to analyze it in various aspects. 1,014 sample data were collected in Seoul area, a center of fashion retailing. Since the respondents cited over 200 brand names as their last 2 purchased casual wear brands, 15 most frequently-purchased brands were selected for constructing the brand switching matrix. As a result of the examination, it was founded that the brand loyalty was dominant rather than brand switching in the casual wear market. Polo was identified as the leading brand in the market. Its brand equity, which was comprised of brand recognition, brand preference (loyalty), perceived quality, and brand association, was evaluated very high. Especially, the strength of Polo was the consumer's strong preference and the brand image of simplicity, naturalness, and neatness. After combining 15 brands into 6 groups based on the style and price, additional interpretation was performed on this 'trend switching matrix.' A transition of fashion trend in casual wear was observed. Applying the brand switching matrix on fashion products gave us much insight to the market.
