The Effects of Consumer Brand Identification and Brand Attachment to Brand Equity (소비자의 브랜드 동일시 및 브랜드 애착이 브랜드 자산에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigates the effects of consumer brand identification and brand attachment to brand equity. 332 surveys were collected from male and female university students in Seoul. In each survey, respondents were asked to choose one favorite fashion brand that they often purchase and answer questions regarding brand identification, brand attachment, and brand equity. The results were analyzed using SPSS package 12.0 and AMOS 5.0 program and factor analysis, reliability analysis, and path analysis were conducted. After the factor analysis, 3 factors were found under brand identification, 4 factors under brand attachment, and 4 factors under brand equity. The Cronbach's $\alpha$ of brand identification was .84, the brand attachment was .80, and the brand equity was .81. The results of this study show that brand identification had a positive effect on brand attachment that had a positive effect on brand equity. Additional results show that both brand identification and brand attachment had a positive direct effect on brand equity; however, brand attachment had a higher effect on brand equity.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of service quality factors and related ties on the repurchase intention of home shopping products and application home shopping through smart media using relation bonding according to the platform. In this study, it was confirmed that the relationship between home shopping and home shopping follows the process of establishing brand equity by mediating or partially mediating the influence relationship between specific service quality factor and repurchase intention. At this time, the mediating effect of the relationship tying is different according to the home shopping platform, but the relation of the TV + application group to the use of TV home shopping has no mediating effect. Also, according to users' usual media usage habits, service quality factors for home shopping have different influence relations on repurchase intention through relationship binding.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that constitute the memorable tourism experiences and to grasp the influence relationship between the memorable tourism experience and the tourism destination brand equity and the loyalty of the tourism destination. The scope and method of the research are derived from the survey data collected through the questionnaire survey for foreign tourists who are visiting Korea, the reliability analysis and the feasibility analysis are conducted, and the relationship between the factors is analyzed through regression analysis.   • The management environment in Korea today is undergoing rapid changes; in particular, domestic corporations and businesses are confronting formidable adversity with IMF crisis and WTO. Though cost cutback, higher quality, rapid production, and diversification of products were accepted as important requirements for competitiveness in the past, they have been replaced by brand power. Consumption patterns have changed their focus from function to image orientation. This is why managers in corporations have invested enormous amounts of resources into producing powerful brands, which can attract consumers' attention greatly enough to improve the image of their products. Brands are regarded as a vital vehicle for marketing strategies and thus as a legal asset. Brands with remarkable and favorable image can secure a loyal consumer groups stable revenues. M & A, currently active between corporations, makes brand equity all the more important. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of internal marketing and increased brand diversification on brand equity by combining them as influential factors with marketing mix factor. For this purpose, literature review was make on previous fragmented studies of influential factors on brand equity build-up. Based on the findings of this study, some operational implications were suggested for marketing managers. The findings and implications of the present study are as follows; First, efficient communication among organization members was found to have a significant effect on product quality. Second, job satisfaction and efficient communication among members was shown to significantly influence price policies. Thirdly, efficient communication among organization workers proved to have a significant effect on distribution strategies. Forth, efficient communication among members was demonstrated to significantly influence advertisement and other public-relations activities. Fifth, opacity of market environment appeared to have a significant effect on product quality, prior market entrance as perceived by organization members turned to be of negative influence on product quality. Sixth, opacity of market environment was found to have a significant effect on price policies. Seventh, opacity of market environment was shown to be of significant effect on distribution strategies. Eighth, grater opacity of market environment proved to improve advertisement and other public-relations activities. Ninth, price policies, distribution strategies, advertisement and public-relations activities were found to have a significant effect on brand equity value. To sum up these findings, in order for corporations and businesses to cope with consumers' needs that are increasingly segmented, internal marketing strategies and brand diversification should be implemented so as to generate greater synergy effect. It is also important to stress that differentiated, higher competitiveness should be secured for Korean corporations and businesses to survive in the drastically changing, globalized market environment. In this regard, continuous and long-term management strategies for brand equity build-up should be ensured and is essential in the present unlimited competition. The last but not least important point to notice is that to increase brand equity value, intensive investment and constant emphasis should be made on internal marketing management on intra-organizational members before strengthening external marketing.

  • To generate future profits, luxury brands need to recognize and understand customers as individually important and analyze the impact factors that improve specific customer equity. With the growing recognition that customer equity is a key strategic asset, this study empirically investigates the effect of customer equity drivers on customer loyalty based on the study of Vogel et al.(2008) which expanded the Rust et al.(2000)'s study on customer equity. We empirically examine if the customer equity drivers have a different impact on customer loyalty. This study hypothesizes that the relative effect of customer equity drivers would be different depending on the purchasing behavior of consumers and examines the effects of them on the relationship of the drivers of customer equity and customer loyalty. We use stepwise multiple regression analysis to empirically test the relationship of value equity, brand equity, and relationship equity and customer loyalty. Relationship equity influences customer loyalty more strongly than value equity and brand equity. Customers seem to build loyalty based on the careful assessment of all costumer equity drivers (value equity, brand equity, and relationship equity). In addition, their relative impact is different depending on the purchasing behavior of consumers. A company cannot maintain all customer equity drivers at a high level with limited marketing resources; therefore, marketing investment for all customer equity drivers need to be allocated differentially depending on the purchasing behavior of consumers.

  • 현대는 브랜드의 시대이다. 애플 브랜드는 1,453억 달러라는 천문학적인 가치를 가지고 있으며, 코카콜라 브랜드는 수십년에 걸쳐 세계적인 브랜드로 자리매김하고 있다. 이와 같이 글로벌 경쟁 시대에는 브랜드가 기업의 생존을 좌우한다. 기업의 경쟁력은 인지도가 높은 파워 브랜드를 얼마나 많이 가졌는가에 따라 판가름나고 있다. 소비자의 마음을 사로잡는 강력한 브랜드는 기업의 수익 창출을 보장하는 소중한 자산이다. 시장을 지배하는 강력한 브랜드를 육성하는 것은 이제 모든 기업의 미래를 좌우할 정도로 중요한 핵심 과제가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와같은 브랜드 가치를 디자인이라는 관점에서 보다 효율적으로 생성하고 관리할 수 있는 브랜드 경영을 위한 웹 기반의 컨설팅 서비스를 제안한다.

A Study on Measuring and Defining Dimensions of Fashion Product Customer Equity (의류상품 고객자산 측정 및 선행차원 규명에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to measure customer equity, to identify customer equity dimensions reflecting characteristics of fashion products, and to understand dimensions that influence customer equity of fashion product. As for this research, an exit poll was conducted at 6 department stores located in Seoul and total 406 responses were used for the analysis. For the data analysis, descriptive statistics(i. e. frequency, percent, $X^{2}$), factor analysis, multiple-regression were used by utilizing SPSS 10.0 program. The results of this study were as follows: First, 35.5% of fashion product customer equity distributes between 1 million and 3 million won, 32.8% between 100,000 won and 1 million won in present. Second, as a result of factor analysis, dimensions of fashion product customer equity consists of 6 factors, including 'personalized relationship', 'discriminative brand image', 'cognitive value', 'beneficial value', 'constant brand image', and 'credible relationship' Third, the effect of fashion product factors on consumer equity, the higher 'personalized relationship', 'unique brand image', and 'trust relationship' are, the higher customer equity is. In conclusion, this study has significance in that it helps measure customer equity by predicting consumer's future purchase behavior in money and to understand influencing factors for fashion product customer equity.

  • 기업간의 경쟁이 치열하여지며 새로운 고객의 유치에 많은 비용과 노력이 드는 상황에서, 고객과의 관계를 어떻게 유지하고 발전시켜 나가느냐가 기업의 지속적인 경쟁우위를 확보하는 중요한 수단이 되고 있다. 요즈음 산업계에서 화두가 되고 있는 고객 관계 관리(CRM)가 치열해지는 경쟁시장에서 기업의 지속적인 경쟁우위를 확보하는 주요한 전략으로 등장하였다. 성공적인 고객관계 관리를 실행하기 위하여 고객의 가치, 브랜드 자산 등을 포함하는 고객자산의 개념정립과 전략적 관리가 필요하다. 본 연구 에서 고객관계에 관련된 고객자산의 개념을 고찰하고 이를 전략적으로 활용하는 방안 을 분석하고자 한다. 또한 CRM의 성공적인 도입과 활용을 위하여 필요한 여건과 조치를 제시한다.

  • Using Keller's customer-based brand equity framework, we attempt to understand and analyze marketing efforts that Pigeon has made to build the most valuable brand in the fabric softner marketing over the last 25 years. Our analysis revealed that first, Pigeon has developed and executed its brand system, brand elements, and marketing programs in a consistent and complementary way. Second, Pigeon's dedication to R&D as well as to customer needs has enabled it to offer a series of successful products with high quality and great value. Third, Pigeon has made good use of both scientific and intuitive approaches in the strategic management process. Lastly, the power leadership of the top management and its emphasis on personnel made a significant contribution to the success of Pigeon.
