The Effects of Private Brand Value on Brand Trust, Brand Attitude and Brand Loyalty (유통업체 브랜드 가치가 브랜드 신뢰, 브랜드 태도, 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study examines the relationship among private brand value, brand trust, brand attitude and brand loyalty. Theoretical studies and the current study indicate that private brand loyalty is influenced by brand value, brand trust, and brand attitude. Through the empirical survey undertaken for this study, it was found that emotional value, social value, functional value, and brand trust including brand attitude influence brand loyalty. The results of empirical analysis can be summarized by the following: First, private brand value had a significant direct effect on brand trust and brand attitude. Second, emotional value and functional value had a positive effect on brand trust and brand attitude. Further, social value had a significant direct effect on brand attitude. And social value had a significant indirect effect on brand attitude through brand trust. Third, brand trust had a significant direct effect on brand attitude. And brand trust had a significant indirect effect on brand loyalty through brand attitude. Fourth, brand attitude had a positive effect on brand loyalty. Therefore, These finding will spawn both academic and practitioner interest in the private brand value and serve as a foundation for further research in this important area.

브랜드자산의 가치평가 모형과 평가지수 개발

  • 기업의 이윤창출은 보유 제품 기반의 사업으로부터 거둬들이는 미래 수익을 기반으로 예측되기도 하는데, 과거 발생한 매출실적에 기여한 요인은 일반적으로 인적자산, 시장자산, 기술자산으로 구분된다. 이 중에서 특허, 디자인과 같은 기술자산이 일정 비중을 차지하는 반면에, 고가의 소비재(예. 고급시계, 핸드백, 남성/여성 정장, 승용차 등)에서는 브랜드 자산이 매출창출에 상당한 역할을 한 경우를 종종 접하게 된다. 그렇다면, 새롭게 시장에 출시된 경쟁제품의 사업화에서 브랜드가 차지하는 비중은 얼마인지 어떻게 결정할 것인가? 브랜드 이전 라이센싱, 투자의 의사결정, 브랜드전략 등 다양한 목적을 위해 브랜드 자산의 경제적 가치를 객관적을 판단하는 것은 매우 의미있는 일이라 하겠다. 그러나 현재 시점에서 브랜드 자산의 가치평가 방법에 대한 표준화된 가이드라인이 없는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 기업 브랜드자산의 가치평가를 위한 사업가치 산출방식을 수익접근법 기반으로 개발하고, 실제 브랜드 보유 기업의 과거 2~3년간 매출실적과 제안된 평가모형에 적용한 결과를 비교 분석해본다. 또한, 브랜드자산의 가치평가에서 브랜드 인지도와 브랜드 충성도가 어떻게 반영되는지를 살펴보기로 한다. 향후 연구에서는 브랜드자산의 가치평가 모형을 실제 시범사례에 적용할 때 발생하는 한계점을 극복하기 위한 개선방안을 고도화 연구로 수행하기로 한다.

  • 오늘날 기업간 M & A가 활발히 진행되면서 브랜드 자산가치에 대한 연구는 학계와 실무계에 있어 커다란 관심이 집중되면서 브랜드의 역할에 대해서 다양한 새로운 관점이 제시되고 있다. 브랜드 자산가치와 관련한 기존의 연구들은 주로 평가에 관한 것이 대부분이었으나 최근에 와서 브랜드 자산가치의 중요성이 부각됨으로써 브랜드 자산가치의 형성에 대한 영향요인의 연구가 활발히 이루어 지고 있다. 하지만 이틀 연구의 대부분은 제품 품질과 광고톨 중심으로 한 기업의 통제 변수인 마케팅믹스-4P(product, price, place, promotion)-에 연구의 초점을 맞추고 있다. 하지만, 오늘날 기술혁신에 힘입어 규모의 경제성이나 경험효과에 의한 비용 우위는 거의 기대될 수 없게 되었고, 품질에서도 기업간의 격차가 현저히 줄어들었다. 그러고 막대한 비용의 문제로 인하여 매스미디어등의 광고를 통한 브랜드 자산가치의 형성이 결코 쉬운 일이 아니다. 특히 오늘의 국내의 기업현실을 감안하면 더욱 어려운 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 기존의 연구에서 다루지 않았던 고객만족 실현를 위한 핵심개념인 내부마케팅과 다양한 소비자 욕구에 있어 신속히 대응하는 브랜드 수의 증가를 브랜드 자산가치의 형성에 대한 새로운 영향요인으로 선정하여 마케팅믹스 요인과 더불어 이들의 영향성을 실증분석을 통하여 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결론을 이용하여 다음과 같은 브랜드 자산가치에 대한 마케팅에 있어서 전략적 시사점을 제안한다. 첫째, 브랜드 자산가치톨 형성 내지 강화하기 위해서는 내부마케팅 요인, 브랜드수의 증가요인, 마케팅믹스 요인중에서 어느 한 요인만으로 한계가 있기 때문에 3가지 요인을 동시에 활용하여 시너지 효과를 노려야할 것이다. 아울러 다양화, 세분화되어 가고 있는 소비자 니즈에 신속히 대용하기 위해서는 브랜드의 수의 증가를 통한 마케팅전략으로의 실천이 시의 적절한 방법중 하나라고 판단된다. 둘째, 기존의 많은 연구에서 알 수 있듯이 그동안 브랜드 자산가치의 구성요소에 대한 영향 요인으로 마케팅믹스적 요인을 주로 다루어 왔는데, 본 연구 결과에 의하면 내부마케팅요인과 브랜드수의 증가요인도 브랜드 자산가치의 구성요소에 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났기 때문에 기업들은 이들 요인에 대한 세밀한 검토와 관심이 요구된다. 셋째, 기업들은 향후 브랜드 자산가치를 증대하기 위한 장기적이고 전략적인 관리방안이 요구된다.

  • A systematic brand value management starts from its measurement. Accordingly, a number of studies have proposed to measure the value of the brands. However, most of them deal with the brand value of the tangible products. Also, in many cases, such an effort did not bring long-lasting effects because either it ended up with an one-time measurement or it employed a different measurement method each time, thus hampering the comparability of the results and the accumulation of knowledge over time. So, this study has measured retail brand value index of the discount stores and the department stores of Korea every year between 2002 and 2004. And then it provides what they have found over that period. In addition this study examines the significant relationship between retail brand value components and the market performance.

The Moderating Effect of Perceived Values on The Luxury Brand Preference Depending on Consumers' Regulatory Focus (소비자 조절초점이 명품브랜드의 가치와 브랜드태도의 관계에 미치는 조절효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of influence between luxury brand value and preferences according to consumers' regulatory focus. For data collection, research questionnaires were responded by females consumers living in Pusan and Ulsan. The collected data were analyzed according to the frequency-factor analysis using SPSS 14.0 for windows Package, the factor analysis using Varimax, reliability analysis, T-test, multi-regression analysis, and chow-test. The results were as follows: First, Based on an independent samples t-test, It was found that prevention-oriented respondents were significantly more qualify value and economic value than promotion-oriented respondents, promotion-oriented respondents were significantly more aesthetic value than prevention-oriented respondents. Second, concerning the worth of luxury brands that aesthetic value, qualify value, economic value, conspicuous value, and emotional value significantly affected the consumers' preference about luxury brand. On the other hand, only social value of the luxury brand did not have a significant effect on the consumers' preference about luxury brand. Second, the study was to investigate whether the luxury brand value has an effect on the brand preference depending on the consumer's regulatory focus. The results showed that there were different perceived values of luxury brand preference between the promotion-focused and the prevention-focused consumers. The promotion focus group had the effect on conspicuous value and emotional value, while the prevention focus group had the effect on quality value and economic value for luxury brand preference.

  • Brand community refers to a group of consumers who are passionate about the brand, and actively participate in enhancing the brand value. This study examines the impact of brand community experience on brand satisfaction, brand trust, and brand value co-creation, focusing on BTS's fan community, 'ARMY'. The results show that the value of aesthetic sensitivity, self-consistency, and intellectual fulfillment, obtained through brand community experiences, had a positive impact on brand satisfaction and brand trust, and brand value co-creation. The implications of this study are as follows: First, rather than company-centered traditional marketing campaign strategies, future brand marketing strategies should focus on nurturing brand communities through which encourage emotional communication and solidarity between consumers and companies. Second, in order to enhance brand community experiences, it is necessary to provide various opportunities to satisfy customers' intellectual curiosity and self-consistency as well as sensory stimuli related to the brand.

A Study on the Effect of Airline Brand Evidence on Brand Value, Brand Trust, Brand Attitude, and Word-of-mouth Intention (항공사의 브랜드 증거가 브랜드 가치, 브랜드 신뢰, 브랜드 태도 및 구전 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of brand evidence on brand value, brand trust, brand attitude and word of mouth intention. To achieve the purpose of the study, a research model and hypothesis were established based on previous studies, and survey was conducted on 222 passengers who had used the airline. As a result of the analysis, sub-factors of airline brand evidence had a positive impact on brand value. Except for employee services, perceived prices, core services, brand names, and brand logo had a positive impact on brand value. Brand value had a significant positive effect on brand trust and brand attitude. It was also found that brand trust had a significant influence on brand attitude. This study examined the extended range by adding the brand logo as a sub-factor of brand evidence, and it is considered necessary to study including brand emotion in next study.

Research on Brand Identification in the Airline Industry (항공 산업에서의 브랜드 동일시 연구)

  • This study set the research model to analyze the effect of customer value on brand identification and loyalty using customers of K Airline. Based on previous researches, this study extracted variables, and built a structural equation model to examine the relationship among variables. The findings of empirical research are as follows. First, it was found that functional value and emotional value of customer value have significant effect on brand identification. Thus, hypothesis 1 was accepted. Second, customers seek emotional aspect in choosing a product or a service. That is, by using an airline brand which they think is identical with their image, value, or lifestyle, they pursue brand identification with the airline. Third, given that functional value and emotional value of customer value do not affect brand loyalty, we can know that customer value strengthens brand loyalty through brand identification. To boost brand loyalty, K Airline needs to pay attention to raise brand identification of customers with consideration of other mediating variables.

  • After having changed its corporate brand from LG Fire & Marine Insurance to LIG Non-life Insurance in 2006, LIG Insurance has successfully built the corporate image as the leading insurance financial group by engaging in extensive corporate social responsibility activities. LIG, as 'a partner for sharing precious moments of life', intended to provide customers a new value of an insurance by building up the new corporate brand. It established three values to be shared internally. First was to instill a brand value orientation within the organization. Second, the firm identified the brand's value to be delivered to the customers. Third, they defined the image objective to be communicated to them. Based on these set of objectives, the company designed and implemented an integrated marketing communication(IMC) strategy over several years. The result was a successful transition to the new corporate brand name.

  • This research paper studied the effect of corporate CEO's image on brand value. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the change in corporate value following the legal arrest of Samsung Electronics CEO. To demonstrate the legal restraint of Samsung Electronics CEO and change in brand value, the argument was made based on analysis data evaluated by the Korea Industrial Policy Institute and Interbrand. In the case of Samsung Electronics, even in 2017 after CEO Lee Jae-yong was arrested, the brand value of Samsung Electronics rose 9% from the previous year to reach $56.2 billion. In 2020, it ranked fifth, and in the first half of 2021, while CEO Lee Jae-yong was arrested, Samsung Electronics ranked fifth in value. In this study, Samsung Electronics' production and brand value continued to rise after the 2000s regardless of the CEO's legal restraint. As a result of this study, Samsung Electronics revealed that the company's management and brand value have been established regardless of the legal restraint of the CEO.
