This study aims to answer the following three questions: 1) What is "jeitinho" in Brazil and its historical roots, 2) What are similarities and differences between "jeitinho" and nepotism in Korea, and 3) Considering the nation-wide prevalence of "jeitinho" in Brazil as a desirable way of thinking and acting, how can Korean firms in Brazil effectively manage cultural differences between Brazil and Korea? To answer these questions, this study reviews previous research on "jeitinho" and nepotism and systematically compare them from a theoretical perspective. After that, the comparison results are further discussed in the context of Korean firms in Brazil, suggesting how the Brazilian and Korean culture can be successfully integrated to boost performance.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the immunoreactivity of calretinin in Brazilian opossum (Monodelphis domestica) retina. Calcium-binding protein calretinin is known to play a key role in calcium-mediated signal transduction. Methods: Experiments have been performed by standard immunocytochemical techniques on retina of the Brazilian opossum. Results: Calretinin-immunoreactivity was exhibited within the horizontal subpopulations, AII amacrine and ganglion cell subpopulations in the Brazilian opossum retina. Especially, all calretinin-immunoreactive AII amacrine cells also expressed parvalbumin. Conclusions: Similar to other mammalian retinas, calretinin-immunoreactivity was also observed within the AII amacrine cells in the Brazilian opossum retina. Thus, calretinin can be a marker of AII amacrine cells in the Brazilian opossum retina.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the parallelism and volatility with Korea by using the Export Volume Index of Korea, Canada, Brazil, UK and Australia. The analysis period was prepared for indicator analysis, numerical analysis and model analysis using annual data for a total of 28 years from 1990 to 2017. In the correlation analysis, Korea showed high correlation in Canada, UK and Brazil, but low in Australia. In the coefficient of regression analysis, Brazil, Canada and UK are moving in a positive direction with their dependent variables (Korea), but appear to be almost unaffected by Australia. In order to increase Korea's exports in the future, Australia, Brazil, India, Vietnam and Singapore are emerging as new markets, which requires continuous attention. Although this study selected Canada, UK, Brazil, and Australia, it is expected that an objective and reliable study will be produced if more diverse countries are selected and analyzed in the future.
