Nonparametric Analysis of Warranty Data on Engine : Case Study (엔진에 대한 품질보증데이터의 비모수적 분석 사례연구)

  • Claim history data of rather long period were collected to assess reliability and warranty cost analyses. The data were appropriately organized to be used for further statistical analyses. For each critical component, nonparametric statistical method was applied to obtain reliability plot. Hazard plots of the components in a subsystem or system level were also obtained. Competing risk model was assumed to obtain the performance of the subsystem or system level.

  • Stirling cycle was actualized as so called ‘hot air engine’. It has been focused again lately as one of measures for exhaust gas emission problem, but as small power engine because of its method of heat addition. Recently marine power plants commenced to meet a stringent environmental restrictions by international convention, Marpol so that diesel engines as main and auxiliarly power plants are urged to be reformed to reduce NOx emission. Author devised a compression ignition engine as a large marine power plants combined with turbo charger based on stirling cycle, and analyzed the performance by means of basic thermodynamic calculation. Analyzed in this paper, were theoretical efficiency, mean effective pressure, required equivalence ratio, gas turbine power ratio, maximum pressure, states of turbo-charger inlet gas and exhaust gas, manifesting that the engine could be proposed as one of the future power plants of marine use.

  • 본 논문은 정보검색을 위한 형태소분석기를 소개한다. 검색엔진의 속도향상을 지향한다면 형태소분석 알고리즘과 참조하는 사전의 구조를 어떻게 구성하는가에 따라 처리속도에 상당한 변화를 기대할 수 있으며, 본 논문에서는 알고리즘으로 최장일치법을 이용하고, 사전내부구조로 AVL+Trie 구조를 이용하여 사전참조의 속도향상을 기대하였다.

  • 액체 로켓용 충돌분사형 인젝터는 구조가 매우 간단하면서 고유량의 연료를 분사시킬 수 있기 때문에 여러 엔진에 응용된 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 인젝터의 특성을 산업용 보일러에 적용하기 위한 기초 실험 및 수치 계산을 수행하였다. 충돌분사 노즐로부터 형성되는 분무의 분포 특성을 실험적으로 측정하였고 이를 실제 조건에 모사하기 위해 수치 계산을 하여, 두 결과를 비교하여보았다. 이로부터 보일러의 효율과 공해물질 저감에 영향을 가져오는 액적의 미립화 특성을 향상시킬수 있는 연료 분사 조건을 제시하였다.

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅에서의 플랫폼 기술은 상황인지(context-awareness) 기술과 재구성형 네트워킹(reconfiguration networking) 기술이 융합되어 가면서 병행하여 발전되고 있으며 최근에는 이종간의 다른 리소스를 가지고 있는 모바일 플랫폼간의 자율적인 공유를 통한 보다 큰 개념의 유비쿼토스 서비스가 제공 되고 있다. 본 논문은 사용자의 선호도를 고려한 서비스 기술과 서비스 추론 기술을 제안한다. 특히 본 논문에서는 데이터마이닝 기법을 이용하여 사용자 선호도에 기반한 서비스를 제공한다. 본 논문은 상황인지 시스템에서 온톨로지를 활용한 고도화된 서비스 추론 엔진과 함께 데이터마이닝기법을 이용하여 사용자의 과거 이력 분석을 통해 최적의 서비스등 다른 분야의 방법들을 함께 결합시킴으로서 상황 인지 시스템에서의 새로운 사용자 선호도 기반 서비스 패러다임을 제공하는 것을 목적으로한다.

  • 본 연구는 단기통 4행정 기관의 배기단의 형상에 따른 실험과 수치해석이 소개되었다. 흡 배기 밸브가 작동하고 있고, 주요한 배기단의 변수로는 배기단 직경이 적용이 되었다. 실험결과로는 배기단의 직경에 따라 배기 압력은 많은 영향을 받았는 것으로 나타났다. 배기단의 직경이 감소하였을때, 배기압력파의 진폭과 파수가 증가되었다. 배기단의 직경이 증가 하였을 때, 배기압력파의 진폭이 감소하였다. 직경이 22mm 일 때의 소음의 주파수 분석이 16mm와 28mm 보다 진폭이 작게 나타났다.

  • The diesel engine and reduction gear combination is one of the common propulsion system in a naval vessel. Since the diesel engine has torsional vibration caused by reciprocating motion of the mass and gas pressure force of the cylinder, high cycle torsional fatigue can be occurred. Therefore, ROK navy restricts the maximum stress of the propulsion shaft according to MIL G 17859D. In this paper, the root cause for the failure of the diesel engine and reduction gear connecting shaft occurred in typical naval vessel is investigated based on the measured bending and torsional moment according to MIL G 17859D procedure.

  • In this study the leakage current measurement method based on a porous ceramic is applied to check the conductive substance caused by the ionized particles. By using engine and chassis dynamometer and an experiment vehicle, in which the hydrocarbon sensor (HC sensor) was exposed to the exhaust gas to create the electrical signal, the HC sensor in the exhaust line checked the conductive ions in emission gas. Generally the output electrical signal of HC sensor is followed with amount of hydrocarbon in the experiments in cold start and operation. By combining the electrical signal, a measure of conductivity of exhaust gas with hydrocarbon can be provided by OBD (On Board Diagnosis) II and EMS (Engine Management System).

  • This paper presents the friction induced scuffing and wear defects analysis of a pin bushing bearing based on the chemical composition using a scanning microscopy (SEM) and an energy dispersive X-ray analyzer (EDX). The SEM/EDX system, which may provide good information on the surface thermal defects and chemical compositions, provides impurities such as an aluminum, a silicon, a ferrous component and an oxygen, especially. The EDX measured results show that the oxygen may reduce the strength and a hardness of a pin busing, which may lead to a scuffing and a seizure on the rubbing contact surface. The current technology fabricated by a sintering for a pin bushing bearing should be modified or changed to reduce the oxygen composition and the impurities in pin bushing materials.

  • In general vibration test considers both harmonic vibration and random vibration, When developing the vehicle component. But the effect of harmonic vibration is larger in the parts around the vehicle engine, sole testing the harmonic vibration is considered. In this study, the fatigue damage of the linear system fixed around the engine is analyzed when the effect of random vibration is higher, harsher than the normal road surface condition. In condition the vehicle speed and the engine RPM are similar, the higher the harshness of the road surface condition is, the larger the fatigue damage level is. Therefore both random vibration and harmonic vibration must be considered in vibration test of components around the engine. Proposing the sine on random(SOR) vibration test that can exam considering both of vibrations, harmonic and random.
