Study on the sprayability of the skincare product with powders using LPG as propellant (액화석유가스를 이용한 파우더 함유 화장품의 분사안정성에 관한 연구)

  • In the quality control of the aerosol skincare products containing powders, it is essential to guarantee that the contents in the bottle can be completely used without leakage or clogging of the nozzle. In this paper, the clogging caused by powder was investigated and the clogging can be effectively removed by emulsifying the contents containing powder with the LPG using a proper surfactant. And the spraying test shows that the contents in the bottle are completely propelled to outside by LPG when properly emulsified by POE(40) HCO.

  • 본 논문에서는 CNG 연료를 고압분사시 연소 특성에 관한 데이터를 확보하고자 한다. 실험은 연소실내의 분사압력과 점화시간을 다양하게 할 수 있는 정적연소상태에서 이루어졌다. 광학적인 실험장치가 연소 특성을 파악하기위해서 공학적인 실험장치가 이용되었다. 이러한 연구는 차후 CNG를 고압연소분사시 형성되는 연소특성에 대한 중요한 기초적인 자료가 될 것이다.

  • The objective of this paper is to observe effects of an ignition position and time on the ignition transition. A gaseous oxygen and liquid kerosene are used for propellants with the shear-coaxial injector. In order to study the ignition delay time and combustion instability intensity, the pressure transducer was used. The ignition position was changed with the injector spacer. Sequences except the igniter operation time were fixed to compare the ignition time only. Initial pressure peak and ignition delay time increased as the ignition time was delayed. Also, the unstable flame development zone was detected as the igniter was away from the injector.

  • Several types of reactors have been used during the past decade to perform fast pyrolysis of biomass. Among the developed fast pyrolysis reactors, fluidized bed reactors have been widely used in the fast pyrolysis process. In recent years, experimental studies have been conducted on the characteristics of biomass fast pyrolysis in a spouted bed reactor. The fluidization characteristics of a spouted bed reactor are influenced by particle properties, fluid jet velocity, and the structure of the core and annulus. The geometry of the spouted bed reactor is the main factor determining the structure of the core and annulus. Accordingly, to optimize the design of a spouted bed reactor, it is necessary to study the pyrolysis characteristics of biomass. However, no detailed investigations have been made of the fast pyrolysis characteristics of biomass in accordance with the geometry of the spouted bed reactor. In this study, fast pyrolysis experiments using Jatropha curcas L. seed shell cake were conducted in a conical spouted bed reactor to study the effects of reaction temperature and reactor cone angle on the product yield and pyrolysis oil quality. The highest energy yield of pyrolysis oil obtained was 63.9% with a reaction temperature of $450^{\circ}C$ and reactor cone angle of $44^{\circ}$. The results showed that the reaction temperature and reactor cone angle affected the quality of the pyrolysis oil.

  • Effect of fluctuation imposed on the inflow to LOX manifold of liquid rocket has been analyzed numerically. Time-varying fluctuation was idealized by the sinusoidal signal and three different representative frequencies were considered. It was found that all the frequencies tested produced the consistent flow reactions in the manifold in that the place close to the region of infection showed oscillatory flow rate through injector orifices in phase with the inflow fluctuation whereas the other side exhibits characteristics which are out of phase.

  • 석탄 화력발전소에는 연소가스의 질소산화물(NOx) 저감을 위한 SCR(selective catalytic reduction)설비가 운전되고 있으며, SCR은 환원제인 암모니아($NH_3$)를 이용하여 연소가스 내에 질소산화물을 물과 질소로 분해하는 역할을 한다. 그러나, 연소가스 중의 일부 삼산화황($SO_3$)과 미반응 암모니아가 결합하여 황산암모늄염(Ammonium bisulfate; $NH_4HSO_4$)을 생성하며, 이는 후단 APH(air preheater)의 열소자에 점착된 후 분진들과 함께 성장하여 막힘을 야기한다. 막힘이 발생된 APH는 연소가스의 흐름을 방해하기 때문에 차압을 증가시키며, 이는 발전효율의 감소뿐만 아니라 급전정지를 초래한다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 $CO_2$ 드라이아이스 세정 방법을 적용하였으며, pilot-scale plant에서 실험을 수행하였다. 또한, 드라이아이스 공정변수인 분사압력과 분사시간을 제어하여 pilot-scale plant의 APH 열소자 표면에 생성되어있는 오염물질들의 제거효율을 관찰한 결과 95 %의 높은 제거효율을 보였다.

  • Unsteady 3D flowfields generated by transverse fuel injection into a supersonic mainstream are simulated with a DES turbulence model. Comparisons are made with experimental results in term of the temporal eddy position and eddy formation frequency. Results indicate that the DES model correctly predicts the convection characteristics of the large scale eddies. However, it is also observed that the numerical results slightly overpredict the eddy formation frequency.

  • Time-Optimal solutions for attitude control with reaction wheels as well as with thrusters are studied. The suggested varying-time-sharing ratio thrusting is found to reduce the maneuvering time enormously. The hybrid control such as sequential hybrid and simultaneous hybrid with reaction wheels and thrusters are considered. The results show that simultaneous hybrid method reduces the maneuver time very much. Spacecraft model is KOrea Multi-Purpose SATellite(KOMPSAT)-II, which is being developed by KARI in KOREA as an agile maneuvering satellite.

  • 실험을 통하여 엔진의 성능을 파악하고자 한다면 적지 않은 시간동안 많은 비용과 노력이 필요하다. 최근 연구에서는 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위해 CFD를 이용 선행해석을 통해 미리 그 엔진의 성능을 예측하여 실험에 들이는 시간과 비용을 줄여가고 있다. 본 연구는 실험을 통하여 소형엔진의 성능을 알아보기 이전에 선행해석을 통해 소형엔진의 성능을 예측하고자 한다. 소형엔진의 선행 해석을 위해 전자제어 연료분사 방식의 400cc급 소형엔진을 모델링하고 1D 해석프로그램인 GT-Power를 통하여 엔진의 Toque, Power 및 배기가스를 예측하였다.

  • The common rail diesel engine used in this study is a remanufactured waste engine. The fuel injection timing of the waste engine is set to be suitable for the operating conditions of the vehicle. However, the engine of a generator is operated at a constant speed and mainly at partial load. Therefore, it is necessary to change the fuel injection timing suitable for the power generation engine, and the cost and the time required for such change must be minimized as much as possible. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the fuel efficiency improves according to the fuel injection timing suitable for the engine for the generator, thereby increasing the performance and fuel efficiency.
