Numerical Study on the CO and NO of Rocket Plume as the Type of Water Injection in the Flame Guiding Duct (화염유도로 냉각수 분사방식에 따른 로켓 플룸의 CO와 NO 반응의 수치해석)

  • A numerical study has been conducted on CO after burning and NO generation of the rocket plume as the cooling water injected to the rocket plume. The present study shows that the cooling water has a role of increasing the degree of CO after burning and reducing NO generation. However the effect varies as the injection configuration of the cooling water. When the cooling water is injected at the side of the plume, NO generation is dramatically reduced while the degree of CO after burning is relatively low. When the cooling water is injected at the side and the center of the plume, CO after burning is highly increased and NO generation is also dramatically reduced.

  • Nowadays, automobile manufacturers are focusing on the reduction of exhaust-gas emissions because of the harmful effects on humans and the environment, such as global warming by greenhouse gases. Gasoline direct injection (GDI) combustion is a promising technology that can improve fuel economy significantly compared to conventional port fuel injection (PFI) gasoline engines. In the present study, ultra-lean combustion with an excess air ratio of over 2.0 is realized with a spray-guided-type GDI combustion system, so that the fuel consumption is improved by about 13%. The level of exhaust-gas emissions and the operation performance with the multiple injection strategy and exhaust-gas recirculation (EGR) are examined in comparison with the emission regulations and from the point of view of commercialization.

  • 공기와 같은 유체를 식품의 표면에 직접 고압으로 분사하는 것은 그 식품을 가열하거나, 건조, 냉각, 냉동시키는데 큰 도움을 주고 있다. Impingement-분사(공기, 스팀), 조사(방사선, 레이저), 침투(당액, 냉매) 등의 식품가공기술 기술은 우리가 생활하고 있는 주변에서 일상적으로 나타는 현상이다. 지표면에 태양빛이 전달되는 것이나 상점에서 물건구입시 포장지에 붙은 바코드(barcode)에 레이저빔을 쏘는 것도 모두 Impingement현상이다. 레이더도 전자파를 발사하는것(Impinging)이며, 배나 잠수함도 음파를 발사하여 장애물을 탐지하면서 운항한다. 세차장에서 차를 세차하는 것도 고압의 물을 분사(Impinging)하는 기술이 동원 되는 것이다. Impingement 방식에 의해 식품을 가열하거나 냉각하는 것은 기존의 방법들보다 속도는 느리지만 그만한 값어치가 있는 유용한 식품가공 기법이다.

  • The capability of pilot injection with small fuel quantity at all engine operating conditions is one of the main feature of the common rail direct injection system. The purpose of the pilot injection is to lower the engine noise and to reduce the NOx emissions. This study describes the pilot spray structure characteristics of the common-rail diesel injectors with different electric driving characteristics, including solenoid-driven and piezo-driven type. Namely three common-rail injectors with different electric current wave were investigated in this study. The pilot spray characteristics such as spray speed, spray tip penetration, and spray angle were obtained by spray images, which is measured by the back diffusion light illumination method with optical system for high-speed temporal photography. As this research results, it was found that pilot injection of common-rail system was effected by rate of injection with different electrical characteristic for driving the injector.

  • Four swirl coaxial injectors with different recess lengths were manufactured using an additive manufacturing method. Single-injection and bi-injection cold-flow experiments were performed using water and air as simulated propellants in an atmospheric pressure environment. According to the recess length and propellant flow conditions, the injection pressure drop and discharge coefficient were investigated, and the breakup length and spray angle were measured using an image processing technique. In the bi-injection pressure drop and discharge coefficient results, the liquid-side injector was not affected by the recess. For the gas-side injector, however, the injection pressure drop increased and the discharge coefficient decreased as the recess length increased. The breakup length in the single-injection increased with the increase of the recess, but decreased in the bi-injection.

  • In this paper, to evaluate the performance of solenoidal typed injector, research and development had been performed on injector controller in order to respond to various performance tests, which is not only economical but easy extensible on its channels. The developed controller based on embedded system is able to precisely control the injection timing and quantity by high-pressured from the injector. Also, it is able to performance evaluation by measuring the electrical characteristics of solenoid. Additionally, it is enable precision timing control of light source and high speed camera as it is able to precisely photograph the timely spray pattern of injector.

  • 프린팅 기법은 크게 젯팅(Jetting) 기법과 코팅(Coating) 기법으로 나눌 수 있는데, 이중 젯팅 기법은 액체 상태의 재료를 노즐을 통하여 분사하는 기법을 말하며, 그 방식으로는 전하제어형, 확산형, 자성 잉크형 등의 연속 방식, 피에조형, 전기열 변환형, 방전형, 고체잉크형, 정전흡입형 등의 DOD 방식, 잉크 미스트형, 스프레이형 등의 기타 방식으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 젯팅 공정을 이용하여 폴리머 계열을 2차원 흑은 3차원 형상으로 제작하는 것은, 기존의 잉크젯 분사시스템을 수정 보완하는 것으로도 기술적으로 가능하다.(중략)

  • 본 논문에서는 열전소자(TEC모듈)를 이용한 에어컨의 개발에 대하여 검토한다. 사용한 TEC모듈의 개수와 TEC모듈의 발열부를 냉각하는 FAN냉각방식과 분사냉각방식에 따른 냉각능력을 평가하였다. 분사냉각방식의 경우에는 기존의 에어컨과 동등한 수준의 냉각능력을 갖는다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 급속냉각은 어렵지만 약 1시간 후부터는 충분히 사용 가능하며, 열전소자 한 개당 약 1평을 냉각할 수 있으며, 기존에어컨의 가격에 비해 약 50∼70%정도로 충분한 가격 경쟁력이 있다. 빙축열 방식 등을 적용하면, peak 쳐t등의 효용성으로 상품화 가능성이 매우 크다고 판단된다.

  • High temperature oxygen and water vapor was generated from catalytic decomposition of rocket grade highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide, and monopropellant thruster system was developed and applied into space propulsion system. In this research, background research and conceptual design of underwater propulsion system using catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide was progressed. Two types of system was designed with different steam injection methods. Propulsion system that has ring-type steam injector was manufactured and performance estimation of system was performed with different nozzle exit area. Performance evaluation with central steam injection type jet engine will be progressed in the future.
