The effect of combustion chamber design and other combustion parameters on the performance of light duty diesel engine (소형 디젤엔진에서 연소실 형상 및 연소관련 주요 인자들이 엔진 성능에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구에서는 양산중인 배기량 2.4Liter, 간접분사방식의 소형 디젤엔진에서 연소방식을 직접 분사방식으로 연소계를 재설계하여, 간접분사방식과 직접분사방식에 따른 엔진성능상의 차이점을 비교 평가하고, 아울러 직접분사방식에서 연소실 형상과 연소 관련 주요 인자들의 변경시 엔 진성은에 미치는 영향에 대해 고찰하였다. 직접분사방식 엔진은 간접분사방식 엔진에 대해 동 일출력, 동일 Smoke 수준인 경우 10-15%의 연료소비 저감의 효과가 있고, 이에 따라 연소관련 부품의 열부하면에서도 유리하였으나, 소음 및 NOx 배출은 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 직접분사 연소방식에서는 Deep Bowl 연소실 형태의 Cylindrical Type 과 Re-entrant Type 에서 연비와 Smoke 등을 고려한 최적 분사시기가 Re-entrant Type 에서 4.deg. CA정도 늦었으며, 각기 최적 분사시기에서 스옴, NOx를 비교한 결과 Re-entrant Type이 더 우수하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 연료의 핵심기술인 분사기술을 향상시키기 위하여 연료의 고압분사와 초음파 에너지 공급기술을 이용하여 연료의 미립화를 시도하고 EFI연료 분사방식에서 초음파 공급장치를 개발하여 추후 직접 분사식 초음파 무화장치의 개발을 위한 기초를 마련하고 직접 분사식에서 문제시되어지는 분사 초기 또는 분사 말기의 분사연료 미립화의 분사 전구간에서의 분사연료의 미립화를 시도하기 위한 기초를 마련하고자 한다.

  • Numerical studies were performed to investigate an effective water cooling type for reducing the thermal load of deflector in test facility with two cooling types and various mass flow rate conditions. According to analyses a core water injection type was superior to a side water injection fro the viewpoint of reducing the thermal load of deflector.

  • A study of efficient plume cooling by core water injection type was performed by computational fluid dynamics. A side injection type is well known, on the contrary, a core injection type is not well known. In order to figure out the characteristics of core injection type, several calculations were performed by computational fluid dynamics along various mass flow rates and locations of water injection. On the basis of analysis it was the adequate cooling condition that water mass flow rate to total mass flow rate was two times at least and location of water injections was L/De=1.2.

  • The gaseous fuel injection(GFI) type of LPG fuel-supply system is more advantageous than liquefied fuel injection(LFI) from the viewpoint of durability and cost reduction. However, compared with LFI types of LPG fuel-supply systems, in the GFI systems it is difficult to achieve precision fuel metering because of the compressible characteristic of the gaseous fuel. In this study, a Helmholtz resonator is proposed as an appropriate system for precision fuel metering in GFI systems, and the effects of the Helmholtz resonator on the fuel metering are simulated by the commercial flow-network-analysis package Flowmaster.

  • 연료 분사펌프는 600bar 이상의 고압 연료를 분사밸브를 통하여 디젤기관의 연소실에 연속적으로 공급하는 장치이며, PLUNGER&BARREL 은 분사펌프의 핵심 부품으로 작동하고 고온 고압의 환경에서 $4{\mu}m$ 미만의 초정밀 간극을 유지해야 한다. 이러한 정밀한 가공 상태를 유지하기 위해선 내마모성 및 내열성에 적합한 재료와 열처리가 필수 요소이다. 현재 주로 사용되고 있는 방식은 DIAMOND STONE 에 의한 HORNIG 가공을 주로 사용하기 있다. 하지만, 연삭 가공과는 달리 별도의 치수 보정 장치가 없는 관계로, STONE 마모와 그에 따르는 마모량 공차에 의한 정밀 치수 확보의 어려움으로 인해, 고비용 저효율의 약점을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 기존의 HORNING STONE 방식을 대체한 PIN 방식의 HORNING MACHINE 개발을 목표로 한다.

  • In this study, the cooling of rocket exhaust plume by sprayed water inside plume were investigated as varying of sprayed water mass, location, and method using computational fluid analysis. For Analyze rocket exhaust plume, a single species unreacted analysis model based on the chemically frozen analysis was used and the discrete particle model which was a kind of Euler-Lagrangian analysis model was used for simulate sprayed water inside plume. It was confirmed that the temperature of plume was reduced without cooling when water mass was two times of plume mass through analysis results.

  • As the emission limits for NOx in power generation facilities were strengthened, HRSGs installed in the 1990s became necessary to install additional DeNOx system. However, since there is no space in the HRSG for installing the entire the catalyst and ammonia injection grid, as an alternative, the catalyst was installed inside of the HRSG and the ammonia injection device was installed in the exhaust duct of the gas turbine. Experiments were conducted in horizontal HRSG of Incheon combined cycle power plant. Experimental results show that the ammonia injection method in the gas turbine exhaust duct is 1.2 times higher than the HRSG internal ammonia injection method. However when operating a HRSG for 30 years as its life span, ammonia injection method in the gas turbine exhaust duct is more economical than the cost of new HRSG construction.

  • There is a many way of LPRE throttling methods, high-pressure-drop systems, dual-manifold injector, gas injection, multiple chambers, pulse modulation and movable injector components. Especially dual-manifold injector is essentially combines two fixed-area injectors into a common structure, with independent feed systems controlling flow to each injector manifold. In this paper, using indirect photography and liquid film thickness measurement with various injection pressure and tangential entry diameter to decide stability of spray over a wide thrust range in dual manifold injector.

  • Most of the silicon cutting methods using the multi-wire with the slurry injection have been used for wafers of the crystalline solar cell. But the productivity of slurry injection cutting type falls due to low cutting speeds. Also, the direct contact with the metal wire and silicon block increases the concentration of metallic impurities in the wafer's surface. In addition, the abrasive silicon carbide (SiC) generates pollutants. And production costs are rising because it does not re-use the worn wire. On the other hand, the productivity of the cutting method using the diamond coated wire is about 2 times faster than the slurry injection cutting type. Also, the continuous cutting using the used wire of low wear is possible. And this is a big advantage for reduced production costs. Therefore, the cutting method of the diamond coated wire is more efficient than the slurry injection cutting technique. In this study, each cutting type is analyzed using the surface characteristics of the solar wafer and will describe the effects of the manufacturing process of the solar cell. Finally, we will suggest improvement methods of the solar cell process for using the diamond cutting type wafer.
