  • 분무건조장치는 Solution, Slurry, Emulsion, Colloidal Suspension 등의 액상원료를 미립화하여 표면적을 증가시켜 수열면적을 크게 하여 열풍과 직접 접촉함으로써 순간적으로 건조를 행하여 액상원료로부터 바로 분립상의 제품을 얻는 건조법이다. 분유를 비롯하여 Instant 식품류, 합성세제, 염료, 안료, Ceramic, 공해 폐액의 처리에 이르기까지 폭넓게 이용되고 있다. 분무건조기는 통기, 회전, 기류 건조기 등 다른 건조기에 비하여 고도의 설계 및 제작 기술을 요하며, 설계에 있어서 일부 이론적인 취급이 행해지고 있는 것은 사실이나 아직은 경험에 의존하고 있는 현실이다. 국내에서 제작되고 있는 분무건조기의 열효율은 25-33%로 선진국의 35-48%에 비해 매우 낮다. 국내에서 사용되고 있는 분무건조기의 92%는 덴마크, 일본 등에서 수입된 것이다.(중략)

  • A powder metallurgy process with granules is the manufacturing technology that can achieve higher-density sintered parts than conventional powder metallurgy processes. However, there is a disadvantage in that the production cost increases significantly due to the additional granulation step. High granule productivity must be guaranteed for affordable material costs in this manufacturing technology. This paper performed a series of scattering, collision, and adhesion simulations of agglomerated powders to investigate the characteristics of granulation process affecting the manufacturing yield rate. The results of this simulation-based convergence study can contribute to improving productivity in the metal powder spray granulation process.

  • 전기기구의 절연성을 향상시킨다는 것은 품질이나 수명을 향상시키는것과 똑같은 의의를 갖는 것이며, 따라서 기기의 수명은 절연성에 있다해도 과언이 아니다. 절연내력을 높이기 위해서는 질량의 절연재료와 고도의 절연가공기술 및 절연구조의 개량등의 요건을 필요로 하나 건조 처리기술에 의하여도 상당히 전기특성을 회복시킬수 있다. 주지의 사항과 같이 건조 처리법에는 열풍건조법, 열유(분무 및 순환) 건조법증기건조법, 전류건조(냉상전류법 및 단락순환건조법)법, 등등에 진공건조를 병용한 처리법이 있으며 어떤나라의 전력계통에서도 계통의 감시 또는 정기보수시 전력용 변압기를 건조(현지)해야 되는 작업은 기기 maker에서 공장건조해야 되는것과 똑같이 거쳐야 하는 공정중의 하나인 것이다. 여기서 언급코져 하는 변압기 tank 유도가열법은 본인이 일본 삼릉전기에서 연수중 조사한 바 있는것으로서 소련, 일본등지에서는 벌써부터 타 건조처리법과 병용해서 척용하고 있으며, 보유하고 있는 건조실의 size가 적을때나 또는 수송 제한조건때문에 현지 조립을 요하는 지역에서는 편리한 처리법의 하나라 할 수 있다. 이하 그 설계 계산법과 설계예를 간략한다.

Preparation of Porous Anti-Insect Repellent Powder Using Spray Drying of Medicinal Herbal Extracts Anti-Insect Repellent Silica Sol (분무건조법을 이용한 한약추출물 해충기피 실리카 졸의 다공성 방충입자의 제조)

  • Anti-insect repellent silica sol from mixture with silica and anti-insect repellent solution extracted from medicinal herbs was prepared. The micron size porous sphere powder with anti-insect repellent solution was prepared by the spray drying method. The characteristic of anti-insect repellent powder using spray drying method was analyzed by FE-SEM, PSA, TGA with the concentration of anti-insect repellent sol (anti-insect repellent solution and silica) and conditions of spray drier. The average particle size of 4, 7 wt% and 10 wt% of anti-insect repellent sol concentration were 8.3, $9.5{\mu}m$ and $11.7{\mu}m$, respectively. The particle size is increasing with high concentration of anti-insect repellent sol. Other hands, particle size as the temperature of inlet nozzle and velocity of sol injection were nearly same at high velocity of gas injection. Also, Anti-insect repellent impregnation in porous sphere powder were confirmed by TGA methode and its thermal property was stable up to $200^{\circ}C$. We expect that anti-insect repellent powder is applied for plastic compound and process of film manufacture.

Optimization of Emulsification and Spray Drying Process for the Microencapsulation of Flavor Compounds (향기성분 미세캡슐화를 위한 유화 및 분무건조 공정 최적화)

  • This study was conducted to optimize the emulsion process and the spray drying process for the microencapsulation of flavor compounds. Using the wall system selected, emulsion process for microencapsulation was optimized on the change of the pressure of piston-type homogenizer. Emulsification pressure of 34.5 MPa was found to be the most suitable for preparing flavor emulsion. Effects of drying temperature and atomizer speed of the spray drier on total oil, surface oil, and flavor release of the flavor powder were investigated using response surface methodology. The optimum spray drying conditions for minimal surface oil and flavor release and maximum total oil were $170{\circ}C$ inlet temperature and 15,000 rpm atomizer speed. The spray-dried powder processed with the highest drying temperature showed spherically-shaped particles with smooth surface.

Fabrication of Far-Infrared Ceramic/AI Composite Powders by Spray Drying Method and Characteristics of the Plasma Sprayed Coating Layer (분무건조법에 의한 용사용 원적외선 세라믹/AI 복합분말제조 및 용사층의 특성)

  • Far infrared ceramic/aluminum composite powders for thermal spray were fabricated by spray drying method and investigated the characteristics of the plasma sprayed coating layers, I.e. microstructure, phases, thermal shock resistance and spectral emissivity. The shape of the spray dried composite powder was spherical and the particle size distribution was 34~105${\mu}m $. Aluminum was distributed homogeneously in the spray dried composite powder. Spectral emissivity of the plasma sprayed coating layer ranges from 3 to 14${\mu}m $ whereas spectral emissivity of the raw ceramic powder ranges from 8 to 14${\mu}m $. And then spectral emissivity of the coatings was better than that of the raw powder but spectral emissivity was decreased with increasing aluminum content. It was found that aluminum content ranging from 20 to 30wt% was suitable for fabricating far-infrared radiator by plasma spraying method.

Quality Characteristics of Spray Drying Microparticulated Calcium after Wet-grinding (습식분쇄하여 분무건조한 초미세 분말 칼슘의 품질특성)

  • Liquid microparticulated seaweed calcium was manufactured via a wet grinding process. Thereafter, different forming agents such as cyclodextrin, gum arabic, and Na-caseinate were added to the liquid calcium, which was then spray-dried to investigate the quality of the powdered calcium treatments. The moisture contents of samples were approximately 2%. It was also determined that the different kinds of forming agents did not affect the spray drying efficiency. In addition, calcium solubility was the highest in a solution of pH 2. In buffer solution and vinegar, the powdered calcium made with gum arabic showed the highest solubility among the treatments. The calcium contents of all the powdered microparticulate seaweed calcium samples were about 28%, and calcium content was not affected by the forming agents. The spray-dried calcium powder made by spray drying with gum arabic had the highest water vapor uptake, whereas the seaweed calcium was stable in terms of water adsorption. The results of SEM observations indicated that a portion of the spray-dried calcium powders were in nano-scale after wet-grinding. Among the treatments, the use of saccharides as a forming agent resulted in the most uniform particle distribution after spray-drying.
