Ferroelectric Properties of Ti-Doped and W-Doped SBT Ceramics (Ti와 W이 첨가된 SBT 세라믹스의 강유전 특성)

  • Undoped SrB $i_2$T $a_2$O$_{9}$, donor-doped Sr$_{0.99}$B $i_2$(Ta$_{0.99}$W$_{0.01}$)$_2$O$_{9}$ and acceptor-doped SrB $i_2$(Ta$_{0.99}$Ti$_{0.01}$)$_2$O$_{8.99$ ceramics were prepared and their microstructure, ferroelectric P-E hysteresis and Curie temperature were investigated. Grain size did not influence P-E hysteresis curve in undoped SrB $i_2$T $a_2$O$_{9}$ ceramics. Donor-Doped Sr$_{0.99}$B $i_2$(Ta$_{0.99}$W$_{0.01}$)$_2$O$_{9}$ ceramics showed more saturated P-E hysteresis curve with larger remanent polarization (P$_{r}$) than undoped SrB $i_2$T $a_2$O$_{9}$ ceramics while acceptor-doped SrB $i_2$(Ta$_{0.99}$Ti$_{0.01}$)$_2$O$_{8.99}$ ceramics led to a pinched P-E hysteresis loop. Larger polarization in donor-doped Sr$_{0.99}$B $i_2$(Ta$_{0.99}$W$_{0.01}$)$_2$O$_{9}$ ceramics resulted from easier domain wall motion by Sr-vacancies.

  • 일반적으로 탄소강은 수용액 중에 노출될 경우 전면부식에 의한 손상을 받는다. 그러나 부식방지를 위하여 부식억제제를 적용할 경우, 탄소강의 부식거동은 현저한 변화를 겪게된다. 이러한 부식거동의 변화는 첨가되는 부식억제제의 종류에 따라 분 류할 수가 있는데, 양극부식억제제, 음극부식억제제 그리고 이들의 혼합부식억제제로 분류할 수가 있다. 현장에 적용된 부식억제제 시스템 중에는 자동차용 부동액과 가스히터용 열전달 매체액이 있다. 이러한 부식억제제가 적용된 시스댐은 정확한 부식억제능의 평가에 의한 그 교체 시기의 결정이 매우 중요하다. 교체 시기가 빠를 경우, 유지비용이 과다하게 소요되는 문제가 있으며, 교체시기가 늦을 경우 설비의 부식을 초래하는 문제 가 있다. 따라서 부식억제제의 정확한 성능 평가법은 매우 중요하며, 이에 대한 다양 한 연구가 진행 중이다. 부식억제제가 함유된 용액의 부식억제성능을 평가하는 방법에는 대표적으로 무게 감량법을 이용하고 있다. 이 방법은 다종의 금속이 적용된 자동차용 부동액을 실제 사용조건과 유사한 실험 조건에서 단기간, 가혹조건에서의 무게 감량에 의해 부식억 제능을 평가하는 방법이다. 그러나 이러한 방법은 특히 국부부식이 진행될 경우 부 식억제능을 정량화 하는데 어려움이 있다. 한편 전기화학적 측정방법으로는 분극곡선법을 이용한 $E_P$(공식개시전위), $E_R$(재부동태 화전위)의 측정법이 있다. 또한 부식억제피막의 안정성을 측정하기 위한 방법으로 인 위적인 양극전류 인가에 의한 피막의 파괴후에 피막이 복원가능 여부 및 그 속도 측 정에 의해 부식억제제의 건전성을 확인할 수가 었다. 본 연구에서는 가스히터의 주구성 재료인 A210 Gr Al의 탄소강을 사용하여, 사용기간이 5년 이상되어 부식억제 기능을 거의 상실한 것으로 여겨지는 열전달 매체액 과 신규 부식억제제가 적용된 시스템 등 객관적으로 확인된 부식억제제 시스랩에 대 하여 다양한 평가 방법을 동원 비교분석하고자 하였다. 실험은 KSM 2142에 의한 무게감량법, 분극곡선 측정에 의한 $E_P$(공식개시전위), $E_R$(재부동태화전위) 측정, 시간에 따른 자연전위 변화 측정 빛 이때의 부식속도(선형분극법), 인위적인 피막 파괴 전,후 의 전위 변화 및 부식속도 측정법에 의한 국부부식 발달 저지능 등을 평가하여 각 실험결과를 비교분석하여 보았다.

Studies on the Deformation in the Hysteresis Loop of $Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3$ Ferroelectric Thin Films ($Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3$ 강유전체 박막 이력곡선의 변형에 관한 연구)

  • Deformation in the hysteresis loop of $Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3$ (PZT) thin films with various Zr/Ti ratios has been studied by varying the top electrode preparation method and the annealing temperature. Pt/PZT/Pt capacitors was found to be positively poled due to dc plasma potential generated during reactive ion etch (RIE) of Rt. Internal field is formed by space charges trapped at domain boundaries. Aging phenomenon such as constriction in the middle of the hysteresis loop was observed in the PZT film with top electrode deposited by sputtering. Top electrode annealing restores the hysteresis loop by removing the space charges. As Zr/Ti ratio decrease, voltage shift increases and an-nealing temperature at which internal field disappears also increases.

Effect of Zr/Ti Concentration in the PLZT(10/y/z) Thin Films From the Aspect of NVFRAM Application (비휘발성 메모리소자로의 응용의 관점에서 PLZT(10/y/z) 박막에서의 Zr/Ti 농도변화 효과)

  • The effects of Zr/Ti concentration ratio in PLZT (10/y/z) thin films prepared by sol-gel method are investigated for the NVFRAM application. Rosette and pyrochlore phase are observed in PLZT (10/40/60) thin film and the (100) orientation, the grain size, and the surface roughness of PLZT thin films increase due to the increase of Ti amount in Zr/Ti concentration ratio. As Ti amount of Zr/Ti concentration ratio increases, the dielectric constants at 10KHz decrease from 600 to 400, while the loss tangents increase from 0.028 to 0.053 and the leakage current densities at 170 kY/cm decrease from 1.64$\times$10$^{-6}$ to 1.26$\times$10$^{-7}$ A/$\textrm{cm}^2$. In the results of hysteresis loops measured at $\pm$ 170 ㎸/cm, the remanent polarization and the coercive field increase from 6.62 to 12.86 $\mu$C/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and from 32.15 to 56.45 ㎸/cm, respectively, according to the change from 40/60 to 0/100 in Zr/Ti concentration ratio. Fatigue and retention properties also improve much as the Zr/Ti concentration ratio change from 40/60 to 0/100. After applying 10$^{9}$ square pulses with $\pm$5V, the remanent polarization of the PLZT (10/40/60) thin film decreases 50% from the initial state while that of the PLZT (10/0/100) thin film decreases 30%. In the results of retention measurements of 10$^{5}$ s, the remanent polarization of the PLZT (10/0/100) thin film decreases only 11% from the initial state, while that of the PLZT (10/40/60) thin film decreases 40%.

The electrical properties of PLZT thin films on ITO coated glass with various post-annealing temperature (ITO 기판에 제작된 PLZT 박막의 후열처리 온도에 따른 전기적 특성평가)

  • Lanthanum modified lead zirconate titanate ($Pb_{1.1}La_{0.08}Zr_{0.65}Ti_{0.35}O_3$) thin films were fabricated on indium doped tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass substrate by R.F magnetron sputtering method. The thin films were deposited at $500^{\circ}C$ and post-annealed with various temperature ($550-750^{\circ}C$) by rapid thermal annealing technique. The structure and morphology of the films were characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) respectively. The hysteresis loops and fatigue properties of thin films were measured by precision material analyzer. As the annealing temperature was increased, the remnant polarization value was increased from $10.6{\mu}C/cm^2$ to $31.4{\mu}C/cm^2$, and coercive field was reduced from 79.9 kV/cm to 60.9 kV/cm. As a result of polarization endurance analysis, the remnant polarization of PLZT thin films annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ was decreased 15% after $10^9$ switching cycles using 1MHz square wave form at ${\pm}5V$.

  • This paper was studied on the characteristics of galvanic corrosion and its protection on heat exchanger tube plate in the sea water. In this paper, behavior of pitting corrosion of Ni-al bronze connected with Ti tube was measured af flow velocity of 0 m/s and 2.4 m/s. To protect galvanic corrosion, the protection characteristics of Ni-Al bronze connected with Ti tube by Zn-base alloys galvanic anode and hexagonal nylon insert was investigated. Main results obtained asre al follows: 1) The galvanic corrosion of Ni-Al bronze connected with Ti-tube is more active than single Ni-al bronze. 2) As the circuit resistance increase under the cathodic protection employing Zn-base alloys galvanic anode, Ni-al bronze connected with Ti tube is cathodically unpolarized. 3) The corrosion of Ni-Al bronze connected with Ti tube by nylon insert controls approximately 73% than not nylon insert.

  • In this study we measured oxidation potentials and current densities for poly(vinylcholride) (PVC) and poly(carbonate)(PC) in nonaqueous solutions, in order to find out how corrosion (oxidation) potentials depend on temperature, pH, enzyme, or added salts. The Tafel's slopes were determined from the Tafel plots of polarization curves. The transfer coefficients (${\alpha}$) wre evaluated from the slope(1-${\alpha}$)nF/2.3 RT, and the electrode reactions appeared irreversible under all conditions.

  • In the micro electrochemical machining (ECM), unfavorable oxide/passive layer formation and overall corrosion of electrodes must be prevented. Generally, the stainless steel electrode corrodes, passivates or dissolves in the electrochemical cell according to the electrode potential. Therefore, the electrode must maintain stable potential. The stable electrode potentials of tool and workpiece were determined with the potentiodynamic polarization test and verified experimentally from the point of machining stability and machined surface quality.
