  • The purpose of this meta-analysis was to address two questions: (1) To what extent are types of child abuse related to psycho-social maladjustment of the abused? (2) Do relations found in this study vary by the gender, sample size, year of publication, types of publication, and respondents' age? The materials of this study were based on 14 variables obtained from 104 published and unpublished (doctoral disserations and master's theses) research papers over a span of 26 years(1990-2016). Child abuse related variables were categorized into physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, and abuse while psycho-social maladjustment grouped as internal (anxiety, depression, withdrawal, and anxiety/depression) and external problem behaviors(aggression, problem behavior, and delinquency). Major findings were: Medium effect size of emotional abuse, abuse, physical abuse, neglect on psycho-social maladjustment among the abused were calculated. Emotional abuse was highly related to every internal and external problem behaviors. Neglect was found to have higher effect size in external problem behaviors than internal problem behaviors. Publication types moderated the association between types of child abuse and internalization while year of publication, number of samples and publication types showed moderation effects on the relation between types of child abuse and externalization. Finding suggest that future studies on child sexual abuse and those on intervention outcome are required and use of well validated instruments are essential.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between job stress, coworker support, emotional stability and burnout, and to examine the mediating effect of coworker support and emotional stability. A total of 212 noncommissioned officers were interviewed and correlation and mediating effect analysis were applied to the resulting data. As a result, the job stress showed a positive correlation with coworker support, emotional stability and negative correlation with burnout, and coworker support and emotional stability showed a negative correlation with burnout. In addition, coworker support and emotional stability were partially mediated by job stress and burnout. However, in order to examine the relationship between these two, the double mediation between job stress and burnout showed that the emotional stability of job stress was partially mediated directly by burnout, and that coworker support was mediated by burnout only through emotional stability. Based on these results, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the Emotional Expressiveness, Smartphone Addiction, and Self Concept of college students and investigate whether the Self Concept mediate the relationship between the Emotional Expressiveness and Smartphone Addiction. The subjects of this study are 175 college students of 3 colleges located in M-si, J-si and G-si and data collecte for 21 days from June 1 through June 21, 2017. As Emotional Expressiveness increase, Self Concept increase (${\beta}=.286$, p<.01); as their Self Concept increase, their Smartphone Addiction decrease (${\beta}=-.269$, p<.05); and their Self Concept full mediate the relationship between their Emotional Expressiveness and Smartphone Addiction(Z=3.447, p<.01). To alleviate the Smartphone Addiction college students, their Emotional Expressiveness and their Self Concept need to be improved.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among child care teachers' role performance and burnout, and supervisors' support. The subjects in this study were 171 child care teachers working in Gyeonggi province. Role performance questionnaire, the perceived supervisor's support scale, and the perceived burnout scale were used for this study. For the research analysis, frequency, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient, and Pearson's correlation were calculated and regression analysis were conducted. The results are as follows. Firstly, it was revealed that both child care teachers' role performance and the perceived supervisors' support had statistically negative significant correlations with child care teachers' burnout. Secondly, role performance had statistically meaningful negative influences on child care teachers' overall burnout. Training and teaching activities as a sub-variable of child care teachers' role performance had statistically meaningful negative influences on emotional exhaustion, a lack of feeling of personal accomplishment, and overall job burnout. Thirdly, supervisors' support also had statistically meaningful negative influences on burnout. Material support as the sub-variable had statistically meaningful negative influences on emotional exhaustion, dehumanization, a lack of feeling of personal accomplishment, and overall job burnout. Evaluative support had statistically meaningful and negative influences on dehumanization and a lack of feeling of personal accomplishment. Through the results of this study, it must be indicated that it needs to promote the support of the supervisor in the various aspects and to provide a way which child care teachers efficiently perform the role in order to reduce their burnout.

  • This study investigated the impact of post-traumatic stress of the fire-fighting officers who are exposed to traumatic events repeatedly on suicide and attempted to verify the moderating effect of cognitive emotion regulation in the relationship between post-traumatic stress and suicidal ideation. For this investigation, this study measured Post-traumatic stress Diagnostic Scale, Korean Beck scale for Suicidal Ideation, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire. The research results are as follows. First, Post-traumatic stress, suicidal ideation, adaptive cognitive emotion regulation, and maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation were correlated. second, A hierarchical regression analysis was conducted in order to examine the moderating effect of cognitive emotion regulation in the relationship between post-traumatic stress and suicidal ideation, and as a result, it was found that a sub-factor of cognitive emotion regulation, adaptive cognitive emotion regulation had a moderating effect in a group of persons with low post-traumatic stress, while maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation had a moderating effect in a group of persons with high post-traumatic stress. These results, this study discussed the necessity of follow-up studies, in addition to its academic and clinical implications.

  • This study regards the savoring, emotion and happiness of 232 equestrians who participated in leisure sports horse riding. First, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted to extract the main variables and to verify the validity of the study. Second, correlation analysis was performed to find out the correlation between major variables. Third, path analysis was performed to derive the final result of this study. In addition, we conducted a reliability analysis of major measurement tools to determine internal consistency(Conbach's ${\alpha}$) utilizing IBM SPSS 21.0 and IBM AMOS 21.0. The results show that past recall had a statistically significant negative impact on negative emotions and future expectations had a negative impact on positive emotions. Also, future expectations showed a statistically significant effect on euphoria and positive emotions had positive effects on happiness.

Alcoholcs' body image, belief emotion expression, communication competence level scales were used as the measurement tools with a sample of 151 students from 2 hospitals in J-city and S-city. T-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 21.0 version were used to analyze the data. Alcoholcs' body-image was negatively correlated with belief emotion expression but was negatively correlated with communication competence. Belief emotion expression was negatively correlated with communication competence. Hierarchical regression analysis showed that body-image, education degree, and belief emotion expression explained 24.9 % of communication competence. The results of this study can be used as basic data to improve the communication competence of alcoholics.
