엔진유의 마모방지성능에 미치는 하이드로퍼옥사이드의 영향

  • 엔진유는 엔진내에서 사용됨에 다라 마모방지제의 소모, 브로바이 가스의 혼입, 열화생성물과 첨가제간의 반응등의 영향을 받아 서서히 열화되기 시작하며, 아울러 마모방지성능 또한 변화되어간다. 열화생성물 중의 어떤 극성산화물이나 고분자생성물은 엔진마모의 감소에 기여하나, 일부 산성생성물은 부식마모를 일으킬 수도 있으며, 엔진내에서 발생되는 마모분중에는 어브레시브 마모를 발생시키는 것도 있다. 또한, 브로바이 생성물중에는 마찰면을 직접 부식시키는 성분도 있으며, 그외 부식성이 약한 브로바이 성분들도 첨가제와의 반응을 통하여 간접적으로 엔진유의 마모방지성능에 영향을 미친다. 필자는 최근의 연구에서 엔진유의 마모방지성능은 엔진에서의 열화정도에 달 현격히 변화하며, 또한 사용유의 전산가증가치와 마모량간에는 명확한 상관관계가 있다는 것을 보고한 바 있다. 본보고에서도 사용유에 함유되어 있는 성분중 마모방지성능에 크게 영향을 미치는 하이드로퍼옥사이드를 선택하여, 그 함유유인 모델열화유로 윤활하는 마모시험을 수행하여 얻은 결과에 관하여 검토하고자 한다.

중수로 압력관 두께 변화 예측

  • 원전수명관리 측면에서 경수로와 중수로를 비교해 보면, 경수로의 경우 원자로 압력용기가 주요기기중 가장 중요한 위치에 있는 반면에 중수로는 압력관이 가장 중요한 기기이다. 압력관 손상종류는 DHC와 dimensional change로 크게 분류되는데 dimensional change는 creep, 부식마모, 처짐현상으로 구분된다. 본 논문에서는 creep과 부식마모 현상 발생시 예상되는 압력관 두께 변화를 계산하였으며, 중수로 수명관리 측면에서 가동 시작년도부터 50년까지 변화되는 두께를 ASME 허용기준과 비교하였다. creep과 부식마모에 의하여 감소 예상되는 압력관 두께는 50년까지 모두 ASME 허용 Margin안에 있음을 볼 수 있었다.

  • Extensive dental erosion and wear will cause serious loss of function and aesthetics in the mouth. In order to recover this condition, careful analysis of the patient's bite relationship is required. In particular, a treatment plan should be established considering the possibility of reproduction of the vertical dimension and centric relation, and appropriateness of the occlusal plane and anterior guidance. Also, the choice of prosthetic materials is an important consideration in patients with severe wear. In this case, patients with overall wear and erosion on tooth was established anterior guidance by orthodontic treatment and fully restored with monolithic zirconia, without increasing vertical dimension.

  • In the oral cavity, the teeth undergo wear and corrosion throughout their lives. Progressive and constant tooth wear is a natural phenomenon of aging, but wear and corrosion due to specific factors are pathological factors. It can cause pathological damage of the occlusal surface, aesthetic problems, dimensional loss and jaw joint disorders. This case is a 26-year-old female patient with general tooth abrasion and erosion on the entire dentition. Diagnostic wax-up was fabricated based on the information including digital facial analysis, physiological stabilization, and evaluation of anterior crown length. Through the digital analysis, the necessary guides for crown lengthening were prepared and the mastication function and esthetics were evaluated by using temporary crowns. Definitive prosthesis was fabricated with the zirconia restorations. The results were satisfactory when they were observed 3 months of follow-up.

  • Engine 윤활은 윤활부분에 발생하는 마찰이나 마모를 감소시키는 것으로 일반적으로 생각하고 있으나 냉각, 방장, 압력의 분산 세척등의 여러가지 작용도 동시에 하는 사명이 부과되는 폭넓은 것으로 되어있다. 1. Engine윤활유의 기능 가. 마모를 줄이고 동력의 손실을 막는다. 나. 금속의 접촉을 맞고 마모를 줄인다. 다. 냉각작용을 한다. 라. 세정작용을 한다. 마. 충격이나 진동을 줄인다. 바. 밀용작용을 한다. 사. 부식방지 작용을 한다. 이상의 그 기본적인 기능에 따라 윤활작용을 생각해 본다.

Wear Characteristics of Cylinder-Liner Materials for Diesel Engine at Elevated Temperature (디젤엔진용 실린더 라이너 소재의 고온 마모특성)

  • In a diesel engine, the wear of the cylinder liner occurs because of the continuous reciprocating motion of the piston ring. This wear reduces the performance of the diesel engine and shortens its service life. This study evaluated the wear characteristics of GT metal and a conventional metal used for cylinder liners using a ship's diesel engine. Wear tests were performed at temperatures of $25^{\circ}C$, $175^{\circ}C$, and $325^{\circ}C$, and under loads of 10 N, 30 N, and 50 N. The amount of wear, specific wear rate, and friction coefficient were evaluated for each condition. To analyze the wear mechanism, observations were made on an SEM. In the case of both metals, abrasive and adhesion wear occurred on the wear surfaces at room temperature, and corrosion wear was observed at high temperatures. The amount of wear and the specific wear rate of the GT metal were lower than those of the conventional metal at all temperatures, and hence it can be concluded that the wear characteristics of the GT metal are much better.

A Study on Effect of Recirculated Exhaust Gas upon Wears of Piston and Piston Rings in Diesel Engines with Scrubber EGR System (스크러버형 EGR시스템 디젤기관의 피스톤 및 피스톤링 마모에 미치는 재순환 배기의 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The effects of recirculated exhaust gas on the wears of piston and piston rings were investigated by the experiment with a two-cylinder, four cycle, indirect injection diesel engine operating at an engine load of 75% and an engine speed of 1600 rpm. For the purpose of comparison between the wear rates of two cylinders with and without EGR, the recirculated exhaust gas was sucked into one of two cylinders after the soot contenets in exhaust emissions were removed by an intentionally designed cylinder-type scrubber equipped with 6 water injectors(A water injector has 144 nozzles of 1.0 mm diameter), while only the fresh air was inhaled into the other cylinder. These experiments were carried out on the fuel injection timing fixed at 15.3$^{\circ}$ BTDC. It was found that the wear rate of piston skirt with EGR increased a little bit, but the piston head diameter increased, rather than decreased, owing to soot adhesion and erosion wear, and especially larger with EGR, and that the wear rates of the top and second piston ring(compression ring)thickness with EGR were more than twice the wear rate of top ring in case of no EGR, but the wear rate of oil rings thickness without EGR increased greater than that with EGR.

Comparative study on fretting wear of aerospace, biomedical, and nuclear components (항공, 바이오, 원자력 부품의 프레팅 마모 현상 비교 연구)

  • This paper investigates fretting wear damage in aerospace, biomedical, and nuclear components. Experimental parameters are identified that affect fretting wear damage. The parameters observed in industries are directly compared. The magnitudes of frequency, relative displacement, and normal force are found to differ depending on the contacting components where fretting wear occurs. In addition, recent solutions to minimize fretting wear damage are reviewed. The solutions include depositing of a low-friction coating, surface treatment, selection of substrate material, and optimal design of contact geometries. This comparative study suggests useful methods and solutions for analyzing fretting wear damage and for designing tribo-components.

  • 본 논문에서는 빔 에너지를 이용하여 내 마모 및 내 부식성을 갖는 철망을 가공하여, 빔 에너지 조사 전과 후의 SEM 사진과 인장강도를 측정하여 비교, 분석 하였다. 전자빔으로 표면을 개질하기 전보다 후의 표면이 더 치밀해짐을 SEM사진을 통하여 볼 수 있었고, 인장강도를 측정 하여 개질 전과 후를 비교 하였는데, 인장강도와 관련된 탄성계수가 더 크게 나타나 전자빔 조사에 의한 샘플이 긴 수명을 갖는 요인이 분석되었다.
