In this study, a suitable algorithm for each BRT stop type is presented through the network construction and algorithm design effect analysis through the LISA, a traffic signal program, for the BRT stop type in the BRT Design Guidelines, Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, 2010.6. It was. The phase insert technique is the most effective method for the stop before passing the intersection, the early green technique for the stop after the intersection, and the extend green technique for the mid-block type stop. The extension green technique is used only because it consists of BRT vehicles, general vehicles and pedestrians. Analyzed. After passing through the intersection, the stop was analyzed as 56.4 seconds for the total crossing time and 29.8 seconds for the delay time. In the mid-block type stop, the total travel time of the intersection was 40.5 seconds, the delay time was 9.6 seconds, the average travel time of up and down BRT was 70.2 seconds, the delay time was 14.0 seconds, and the number of passages was 29.
This study was conducted for market segmentation of cruise tourist according to launching the "T" in Busan. Benefit segmentation was used to identify attributes of cruise services; importance of ship's physical appearance and importance of service and activities. 24 attributes were distilled to 5 factors: 'Facility & Service', 'Atmospherics of cruise ship', 'Escape', 'Choice', 'Safety'. A K-means cluster analysis identified three clustered segments for five importance factors in which high loyalty customers were found to be the most important segment. Based on the findings, three distinct groups were formed: 'Moderators', 'High Loyalty', 'Spurious'. The most important factors by high loyalty groups were identified 'Safety', 'Facility & Service', 'Atmospherics of cruise ship', 'Choice', 'Escape' in order. The results of the study showed statistically significant differences among the three groups in terms of demographic and behavioral variables. Especially, the target market should be considered by 'High Loyalty' group and 'Moderators' group in order. Positioning strategies and marketing mix strategies for effectively targeting the segments were discussed.

Korean seafarers have played a key role throughout the country's history and economic development. They have been a major source of foreign remittance into the nation as well as a pivotal sector in emergency logistics during war times. However, the current number of Korean seafarers in decreasing due to low job attractiveness and retention rate onboard. This is a major problem for the national and international shipping industry as youth seem not to be interested in working onboard for long periods of time. The purpose of this study is to 1) determine what the public opinion about seafarers in Korea is and 2) find out what factors mostly stand out in the public opinion about seafarers profession. The paper suggests that three main types of opinion groups emerged. The first type is labeled as 'high risk, high workload and high stress' as respondents recognized a high possibility of accident onboard and, at the same time, acknowledged that seafarers can be fatigued and stressed. The second type was named as 'Dangerous, Dirty, Difficult', as seafarers' image was mainly associated to fishing vessels and not to merchant and passenger ships. The third type recognized that the social position of the seafarers was low due to 'low social recognition'. The study suggests that all three types have a negative image of seafarers' job. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to establish various policies and marketing tools to improve the negative job image linked to seafarers by the public opinion. If the public image of seafarers can be improved and attractiveness rose, it is expected a higher number of seafarers will pursue and keep a career at sea.

The gobiid fish, Luciogobius guttalus Gill has an anguilliform with some blackish and reddish brown color in life. It grows up to 90mm in total length. The specimens have been collected from several localities in the southern parts of Korea and Hokkaido, Japan. During the ebb tide, the fish was found in high level of intertidal zone exposed to the air among pebbles in the hollows and slopes of rocks. There are also some other small gobiid fishes comprising 3 species of relative gobies and 1 species of blennioid fish. A total of 5 egg masses were collected from the coast of Haeundae in April to May 1990. Each egg mass was deposited in one layer on the underside of a stone embedded in pebbles and guarded by the male parent. The eggs are club-shaped ranging from 2.71 to 2.80mm in long axis and from 0.65 to 0.74mm in short axis. The eggs were hatched in 98 hours after incubatied at the temperature varying from 19.5 to $25.5^{\circ}C$The newly hatched larvae were from 3.85 to 4.00mm in total length with 35~36 myomeres. In eleven days after hatching, total length reached 5.50mm. The part of the fin-fold of the future dorsal and anal fins became high. In sixteen days after hatching, the lavae averaged 6.20mm in total length and the caudal notochord flex at $45^{\circ}$. The larvae reached the juvenile stage in 48~50 days after hatching and attained 12.80~14.00mm in total length, and all fin-rays was formed. Ossification of the cranium took place at 5.50mm of mean total length in parasphenoid and basioccipital. Ossification of the visceral skeleton occurred in areas where active movements of bones are required, notalbly in the parts of feeding and respiration. Vertebrae began to develop from the anterior end to ossify posteriorly. Neural and haemal spines of vertebrae ossified always prior to the corresponding centra. When larvae reached to about 6.60mm in mean total length (17~18 days after hatching), jaw bones were more repidly ossified than vertebrae and cranium. Ossification of all bones nearly completed when the larvae reached to 13.40mm in mean total length (47~50 days after hatching).

This present research was carried out by dividing two parts; field surveying and data processing, in order to analyze changed patterns of a shoreline. Firstly, the shoreline information measured by the precise GPS positioning during long duration was collected. Secondly, the algorithm for detecting an auto boundary with regards to the changed shoreline with multi-image data was developed. Then, a comparative research was conducted. Haeundae beach which is one of the most famous ones in Korea was selected as a test site. RTK-GPS surveying had been performed overall eight times from September 2005 to September 2009. The filed test by aerial Lidar was conducted twice on December 2006 and March 2009 respectively. As a result estimated from both sensors, there is a slight difference. The average length of shoreline analyzed by RTK-GPS is approximately 1,364.6 m, while one from aerial Lidar is about 1,402.5 m. In this investigation, the specific algorithm for detecting the shoreline detection was developed by Visual C++ MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class). The analysis result estimated by aerial photo and satellite image was 1,391.0 m. The level of reliability was 98.1% for auto boundary detection when it compared with real surveying data.
By using social network analysis, this study examined 102 countries, 281 ports, and 6,318 maritime routes associated with the global network of the Maersk Line. With the 'Belt and Road' in place, China is developing ports, expanding the cooperation with major ports, and increasing its influence on maritime transport. China's ports' reform and development implies establishing stable and independent logistic networks for supply of raw materials as well as exports and imports. This is closely related not only to individual ports' competitiveness, but also to relational structures between maritime powerhouses such as the US-which has the largest share and influence in the global market-and the surrounding countries. In this regard, an analysis of the maritime transport needs to consider the characteristics of individual ports together with those of each country. This study identified the characteristics of each port in light of the relationships in the global network of Maersk and applied them to each country. Moreover, the individual networks of China, the US, and Korea are compared. The findings showed that China, the US, Panama, Malaysia, and Spain accounted for large shares of the global network, while the shares of China, Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam were high in China's network. In addition, by comparing individual networks of China, the US, and Korea, it emerged that Korean ports such as Busan and Gwangyang had secured a high level of competitiveness in the Chinese network.

Nakdong Estuary Delta plays various roles of worldwide habitat for migratory birds and a sand supplier to Haewoondae Beach and Gwanganri, which are tourist attractions of Busan. In this study, long-term topographical changes of Nakdong Estuary (Jinwoo Islet, Sinja Islet, Doyodeung, Dadae Beach) coast were detected and interpreted. Through the analysis of 34 years' satellite images, it was found out that a part in between front side and back side of Jinwoo Islet increased, Sinja Islet was divided into two belts in 1970, and has formed an islet since the 1980s and extended westward. Due to the rapid development of small islets in front of Baekhabdeung since 1990s, Doyodeung formed in the late 1990s and is still growing. To make coastal map of Nakdong Estuary area, 13 images, of which the tide level was $99{\pm}13cm$, from the 112 Landsat images of the period from 1975 to 2009 were selected to section into water zone and land zone using NDV. And the rates of coastal line change such as MATLAB EPR(End Point Rate) and LRR(Linear Regression Rate) were calculated using DSAS 4.0(Digital Shoreline Analysis System). Through detecting topographical changes, EPR showed that the front(south) and back side(north) of Jinwoo Islet moved southward at -0.93~2.56m/yr, and changes in costal line and area of Jinwoo Islet were low and stable. The front and backside of Sinja Islet moved northward at 1~4m/yr, whereas the west side of Sinja Islet was stable at 2~3m/yr and east side of Sinja Islet moved northward at 10m/yr or faster. The front and back side of Doyodeung moved northward at 18~27m/yr, causing the increase of area, while the coastal line of Dadae Beach moved westward at 7m/yr, causing the expansion of the beach. LRR also demonstrated a similar trend to EPR. Although analysis of satellite images and GIS could enabled detection of topographical changes and quantitative analysis of natural phenomena, we found that continuous observation of natural phenomena and various analytical methods are required.
The Ilgwang Fault is NNE-striking, elongated 40 Km between Ulsan and Haeundae-ku, Busan in southeastern part of the Korean Peninsula. This paper si mainly concerned about the ages of the fault activities especially in the Quaternary, inferred from classification of geomorphic surfaces and trench excavation for the construction of Singori nuclear power plant. The geomorphic surfaces are classified into Beach and the Alluvial plain, the 10 m a.s.l. Marine terrace(MIS 5a), the 20 m a.s.l. Marine terrace(MIS 5e), the Reworked surface of 45 m a.s.l. Marine terrace(MIS 7 or 9) and the Low relief erosional surface. The Low relief erosional surface is distributed coastal side, the Reworked surface of 45m a.s.l. Marine terrace inland side by the Ilgwang Fault Line as the boundary line. But the former is above 10 m higher in relative height than the latter. The 20 m a.s.l. Marine terrace on the elongation line of the Ilgwang Fault reveals no dislocation. A site was trenched on the straight contact line with $N30^{\circ}E$-striking between the 10 m a.s.l. Marine terrace and the 20 m a.s.l. Marine terrace. Fault line or dislocation was not observable in the trench excavation. Accordingly, the straight contact line is inferred as the ancient shore line of the 10 m a.s.l. Marine terrace. The Ages of the Fault activities are inferred after the formation of the Ichonri formation - before the formation of the 45 m a.s.l. Marine terrace(220 Ka. y. B.P. or 320. Ka. y. B.P.). The Low relief erosional surface was an island above the sea-level during the formation of the 45 m a.s.l. marine terrace in the paleogeography.
As the frequency and intensity of catastrophic disasters increase, there is widespread public sentiment that government capacity for disaster response and recovery is fundamentally limited, and that the involvement of civil society and the private sector is ever more vital. That is, in order to strengthen national disaster response capacity, governments need to build disaster systems that are more participatory and function through the channels of civil society, rather than continuing themselves to bear sole responsibility for these "wicked problems." With the advancement of smart mobile technology and social media, government and society as a whole have been called upon to apply these new information and communication technologies to address the current shortcomings of government-led disaster management. As illustrated in such catastrophic disasters as the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami in Japan, the 2010 Haitian earthquake, and Hurricane Katrina in the United States in 2005, the realization of participatory potential of smart technologies for better disaster response has enabled citizen participation via new smart technologies during disasters and resulted in positive impact on the management of such disasters. In this context, this study focuses on the South Korean context, and aims to analyze Korean government officials' readiness for public participation using smart technologies. On this basis, it aims to offer policy suggestions aimed at promoting smart technology-enabled citizen participation. For this purpose, it proposes a particular model, termed SMART (System, Motivation, Ability, Response, and Technology).
Considerable damages of the cultivated Porphyra by Porphyra diseases were reported from the Porphyra culture bed along the coast of Yongwon-ri, Changwon, Kyungnam during the years of 1969 and 1970. The present study deals with the effects of fertilizer plant effluents on the Porphyra diseases, and the results are summarized as follows : 1. By the result of current observation, the polluted water of Haeng-am Bay which has an inflow of pollutants from the fertilizer plant was affecting the bed with tides. The results of pollution studies in Chinhae Bay and adjacent waters conducted by Won and Park(1971) also show that Chinhae Bay and adjacent waters are contaminated with the plant effluents. It seems that the effect increases due to the wind drift current when north-westerly or westerly winds prevail. Accordingly, effects of the Porphyra diseases in the culture bed seem to originate from the pollutants, since there are more damages when the north-westerly or westerly winds prevail, and also spring tide develops. 2. As compared to the photosynthetic activity of the Porphyra suborbiculata in uncontaminated seawater, it decreases up to $4\%$ in 200pmm, $20\%$ in 300ppm and $43\%$ in 1,000ppm of contaminated seawater which contains dilluted pollutants from the fertilizer plant. The results of the measurements using the water collected in the polluted area of Chinhae Bay and adjacent waters revealed that the photosynthesis was depressed about 21 to $34\%$ near the plant, and in the area of the Porphyra beds, $15\%$ in the portion where tide is weak and $5\%$ where the tide is strong, in comparison with the area of unpolluted water. 3. Although the present results do not indicate the exact level of harmful pollutants, it is evident that the pollutants of the plant effluents interfere photosynthetic activity of the Porphyra, even in the water containing pollutants as low as 200 ppm.
