  • There is an increasing interest in migration legacy systems to new hardware platforms and to new software development paradigms. The reason is that high maintenance costs and lack of documentation. In order to migrate or transform legacy system, various approaches such as screen scrapping, wrapping, semi-development, and re-development, tools, and methodologies are introduced until now. However, architecture or requirements level's transformation is not suggested because most of those approaches focus on code-level transformation or a few model-level transform. In this paper, we suggest a meta-model driven approach applying 3D space concept, which can be applied into architecture and requirement phase. Proposed integrated model drives seamless migration or co-evolution from code to architecture of reverse engineering and from architecture to code of forward engineering.

  • This paper presents an interactive progressive image transmission method, which enables a remote user to interactively select and transmit preferred regions from an index image. Our enhanced quadtree decomposition using PSNR-based rules and new implicit quadtree coding provide better rate-distortion performance than previous quadtree coders as well as leading bit plane methods. An adaptive traversal of child nodes is introduced for better visual display of restored images. Depth-first traversal combined with breadth-first traversal of the quadtree to accomplish interactive transmission as presented, results in a method that provides competitive performance at a low level of computational complexity. Moreover, our decoding requires only simple arithmetic which is enabling our method to be used for real-time mobile applications.

A Context-Aware Workflow System for Supporting Users' Dynamic Service Demands (동적인 사용자 서비스 요구를 지원하는 상황인지 워크플로우 시스템)

  • A context-aware service in ubiquitous computing environments aims to supply services according to users' situation information that is dynamically occurring. The existing context-aware workflow systems, such as FollowMe and uFlow, provide context-aware services based on a workflow, which uses users' situation information as transition conditions of a service. But they can't apply users' new service demands, which may dynamically occur even when a workflow is on going, to a workflow scenario. In this paper we propose a context-aware workflow system, which can reapply users' new service demands into an initial workflow without interrupting or deleting the workflow. The proposed system can provide context-aware services without interrupting of service by recognizing exactly a place holder that has to be changed in a workflow scenario and by reconstructing only the changed parts through an incremental parsing method. Therefore, a user can immediately apply his new service demands to an on-going workflow scenario, and he can be guaranteed continuous executions of context-aware services according to a workflow scenario, which includes new service demands.

  • For all the region is the basic unit of geographical learning and the grounds of human activities, regional learning can't possible be carried out at the class. Because there are very few regional learning materials that are applicable to class and can be expanded to geographical basic concept. This paper aims to regulate the construction principles of regional learning and select the contents of regional learning. Firstly, the six basic concepts of geographical education be made a selection of the construction principles of regional learning: human-environment, location, region, interaction, change, scale. And then, I suggest the upper five subject that be based on the results of systematical geography. Those are the necessity and method of regional apprehension, the physical environment and the regional human-life, the resource and industrial activities. the regional life-space's formation and change, and the changing world and region. And I propose the subdivided the mid and the lower subject that be reflected the learner's need and the social demand, and could be experienced the results of geography and the everyday life. For the best regional learning, these subjects can be combined one or more in various scale.

Low Computational Adaptive Expanded Block Search Motion Estimation Method (저연산 적응형 확장 블록 탐색 움직임 추정 기법)

  • In this paper, Low Computational Adaptive Expanded Block Search Motion Estimation Method is proposed. Proposed method classifies ME blocks as Average Motion Block(AMB) and Local Motion Block(LMB) according to correlation of reference frame. It could reduce the computational complexity with performing Modified Fast Search(MFS). And accuracy of MV is also increased by 4 sub-blocks on LMB and Block Expansion(BE). The experimental results show that the proposed method has better performance that increased 1.8dB than Diamond Search and 0.6dB than Full Search with 7.5 % computation of Full Search. The proposed method could be applied to video compression and Frame Rate Conversion(FRC).

Development of One-Step Immuno-Chromatography Assay System for Salmonella typhimurium (Immuno-Chromatography 방법을 이용한 식중독균(Salmonella typhimurium) 1단계 분석시스템의 개발)

  • One-step immuno-chromatography assay system for heat-killed Salmonella typhimurium antigens was developed. Three major components used were a glass fiber membrane (placed at the bottom of the system) with an antibody (specific to the analyse, detection antibody)-gold conjugate deposited in a dry state on the surface, a nitrocellulose membrane (middle) with an antibody (also, specific to the analyse but recognized different epitome: capture antibody) and anti-detection antibody immobilized in spatially separated areas, and a cellulose membrane (top) as absorption pad. These membranes were partially superimposed such that a wicking of aqueous solution containing sample can continuously take place through membranes. Variables that affected the system performance were the concentration of capture antibody, the location on the membrane, inert protein used for blocking of the membrane and for carrying the sample, and the concentration of the gold conjugate. Under optimal conditions, within 15 minutes after absorption of a sample solution from the bottom of the system antigen-antibody complexes of sandwich type were formed on the membrane surface area with immobilized capture antibody and a color signal was generated in proportion to the analyse concentration. The minimum do tection limit of the analyse was $1{\times}106$ Salmonella cells/mL.

Generation of Digital Orthoimage using Direct Georeferencing (외부표정요소 직접결정에 의한 수치정사영상 생성)

  • Direct Georeferencing(DG) Is based on the direct measurement of the projection centers and rotation angle of sensor through loading the GPS and INS in aircraft. The methods can offer us to acquire the exterior orientation parameters with only minimum GCPs, even the ground control process could be completely skipped. Hence, as long as securing Digital Elevation Model (DEM), it is feasible to generate digital orthophotos without performing the aerial triangulation with Ground Control Point (GCP) surveying. In this study, the DEM is automatically generated by using a image matching technique based on aerial photos and exterior orientation parameters. This is followed by producing an orthophoto from these results. Finally, accuracy analysis of the georeferencing technique for generating orthoimage indicates that RMS errors of 62cm and 76cm occurred at the X and the Y axis, respectively. This means that the results fulfill the demanding accuracy of the 1:5000 digital map. Hence, it is possible to conclude from this study that the direct georeferencing based orthoimage generation method is able to effectively digital map update.

Examination of the Ground Remote Monitoring System for Coastal Environmental Elements - Marine Radar and Camera System - (연안 환경 요소에 대한 지상 원격 관측 방법 고찰 - 마린 레이다와 카메라 시스템 관측을 중심으로 -)

  • Consistent observation with high temporal and spatial resolution is required for an efficient monitoring of coastal environments. Remote monitoring system installed on the ground is capable of simultaneous observation of wide coastal area and consistent observation with high frequency, which a small number of in-situ measurements cannot manage. This paper studies two typical ground based coastal monitoring system, marine radar and camera system. Marine radar can produce time series of frequency spectrum by integrating wave number spectrum calculated from spatial and temporal variation of waves in the radar image. The time averaged radar images of waves can analyze wave breaking zone, rip currents and location of littoral bars. Camera system can observe temporal variation of foam generation originated from coastal contamination as well as shoreline changes. By extracting the part of foams from rectified images, quantitative analysis of temporal foam variation can be done. By using the two above systems of different characteristics, synergetic benefit can be achieved.

  • The zenithal light is the one that is entered down into the interior space or the spaces such as the inner court, through windows high located in the wall or openings of the roof. The aim of this study is to analyze the types of mechanism for the zenithal light by studying some examples related to the zenithal opening, and to investigate those characteristics. One of the most important features is a structural unit of the skylight entering the room. In this study, according to the structural unit, the direct light type, the duct-type and the shade type was distinguished, and each type can be divided into several modified types. Precisely, the direct light type is divided into an unexposed type and an exposed type of the source of light. The duct type is also divided into an intensive duct type and a distributed duct type. The shade type is classified into a ceiling surface shade, a reflections objet shade, a double ceiling shade and a wall shade.
