This study aims to identify the impacts of parenting attitude, self-esteem and depression on school life adaptation in multicultural family adolescents focusing on the mediating effects of self-esteem and depression. To achieve this purpose, the seventh year of the 2016 Multicultural Youth Panel Survey(MAPS) data was used and among all respondents 1,236 multicultural adolescents under 16 years old whose mothers are foreign were collected. Our study findings are as follows: First, supervision and self-esteem had a positive effect, and neglect and depression had a negative effect on school life adaptation. Second, supervision and neglect had a partial influence on school life adaptation through the mediation of self-esteem and depression. Based on these findings, some practical implications was presented to enhance the adaptability of multicultural familiy adolescents to school life adaptation.

This study tries to examine the effect of parents' neglect on career identity, and prove the meditating effect of experience satisfaction and school adjustment between the two variables in the times of convergence. For the study, the data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey was analyzed by utilizing the path analysis, and the number of subjects was 391 adolescents. The results are as follows: First, parents' neglect influenced negatively career identity. Second, experience satisfaction and school adjustment had a positive effect on experience satisfaction. Third, parents' neglect directly influenced career identity and its' effect was indirectly mediated by the subjects's experience satisfaction and school adjustment. Therefore, the result of the study can be utilized for theoretical implication and foundation for developing programs to increase career identity.

This study parent-children relationship with the youth of the Internet was to evaluate the impact on. Internet excess utility of adolescents was to influence the, and how we received its relation the influence. This study distinguished their patent-children relation according to the violence and non-interference level and Internet excess utility contains an everyday life problem, we can not do the work to plan, the excess Internet usage, and the complications of the another person. This distinguished with genernal, potent risk, high risk category. The result was as follows: First, potent risk and high risk category appeared in the parent-children relation to be the no- interference. This means that parent-children relation has an influence on internet excess utility of adolescent. Second, the role of parents is important to reduce internet utility of adolescent, and it must understand so that the development stage is careful. We need the supply for adolescent with play and experience program development which can enjoy the leisure culture. We need internet poisoning expert training and the treatment must be achieved with the counselling to be continuous to problem adolescents.

This study aims to examine whether a Parent's Neglecting Attitude affects an Adult Media Immersion and Adolescent' Dependence on mobile phonehas a mediating effect. To achieve this goal, the first year of middle school panel of 'the 6th Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS)' was utilized. To verify the mediating effect of Adolescent' Dependence on mobile phone in the relationship between Parent's Neglecting Attitude by Adolescents and the Adult Media Immersion, Baron & Kenny's mediating effect analysis method was conducted and the analytical findings are shown below. According to this study, first of all, more the Parent's Neglecting Attitude rise to rise the Adult Media Immersion. Second, the Adolescent's Dependence on mobile phone partly mediates the Adult Media Immersion. The practical implications of this results are below : First, we need to make a policy and legal effort to improve the relationship between parents and children. Second, there is a need to practice professional programs in schools, focusing on school social worker. Third, Revision of relevant laws limiting access to adult media is necessary.

The purpose of this study was to explore the concurrent and lagged effects of parental neglect and abuse on longitudinal changes in late childhood school adjustment. This study utilized survey data from the fourth through seventh iterations of the Korean Child Youth Panel Study conducted on fourth-year elementary school students through first-year middle school students. The data was analyzed using latent growth modeling. The results were as follows. First, the level of school adjustment decreased gradually. Second, both neglect and abuse had concurrent effects on school adjustment. Third, neglect had lagged effects on school adjustment but abuse did not. The paper discusses the implications of these results. The results of this study can be used to better understand and support children who have suffered neglect or abuse adjust to school during late childhood.

This study tries to investigate the influence of parents' neglect on adolescents' school adjustment, and to prove the mediating effects of self-identity and life satisfaction on the relationship between two variables. Data from 5th year(2014) Korean Children and Youth Panel Study(KCYPS) on 2035 nation-wide second year middle school students was analyzed by utilizing Regression analysis and path analysis. Results of the analysis showed first, parents' neglect had a negative effect on adolescents' self-identity, life satisfaction, and school adjustment. Second, adolescents' school adjustment improved with their self-identity and life satisfaction included as mediating effects. Third, the effect of parents' neglect on adolescents' school adjustment was partly mediated by the effects of subject's self-identity and life satisfaction. Furthermore, the need for program development to enhance adolescents' self-identity, life satisfaction and school adjustment was suggested.

This study investigated how abuse and neglect experience by parents affect self-respect, relationship with teachers and variance of emotional problem. Also we verified whether self-respect and relationship with teachers mediates relation between abuse and neglect experience and variance of emotional problem. The results of this study are as follows. First, adolescents who experienced abuse and neglect appear to have emotional problems such as depression, social withdrawal, and somatic symptoms. Furthermore, youth who have abuse and neglect experience have difficulties in self-respect and relation with teachers. Second, self-respect and relationship with teachers have significant indirect effect on relation between abuse and neglect experience and variance of emotional problem. Third, although relation between abuse and neglect experience and relationship with teachers represent positive correlation, the regression coefficients in the direct path are significant in the opposite direction, resulting in a suppression effect. Finally, implications for interventions, limitations of the study, and suggestions for future research were discussed.

This study aims to analyze how parents and their children participating in sports after school hours positively affects their communication and behavior based on the stratified sampling of 189 students (fifth and sixth graders) in Cheongju city C-province. The result from the exploratory factor and the structural analysis using SPSS18.0 showed that participating in sports improved parent-child communication including increasing their motivation, self-confidence, and self-esteem, and reducing children's problematic behavior such as anxiety, feeling insecure, insubordination, and aggressiveness. In order to improve the children's mental health, it would be essential to set various programs of after school sports and more importantly validate its quality.

This study was to verify the mediated moderation effects of parental neglect on the process where school teacher violence affected depression and suicidal ideation of adolescents. Data of 6,291 middle and high school students from 'research on the actual state of human rights of Korean children and adolescents IV' conducted by National Youth Policy Institute were analyzed. The analyses were carried out with SPSS 18.0 and Process Macro 4.0 using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, regression analysis, and bootstrapping. The results showed that 1. school teacher violence and depression significantly influenced suicidal ideation of adolescents, 2. depression showed mediating effects on the process where school teacher violence influenced suicidal ideation, 3. parental neglect showed mediated moderation effects on the process where school teacher violence influenced suicidal ideation through depression. The study also suggested the necessity to complement the education and counseling program and the relevant policy for parents and teachers who could affect suicidal ideation of adolescents.
